My birthday present for him is the donation from our charity project~Ā
Weāve raised $939 in this project, and because of Richardās 44th birthday, Iāve donated $44. Of course the donation will last until the profit of this project be fully donated.Ā
Thank everybody who helps and supports this project. I will bring you more information about this project.
Hereās something I want to say.
If it was two years before, I would never thought that Iād be like this, and write down these words.
I believe you share the same feeling that we spend our time in the most ordinary way for most of the time. But there are a few moments when we decided to do something special.
And those people, who love and always in love with the middle-earth, and who encourage me or inspire me, give me the courage to go into that moment.
Iāve watched The Hobbit I and II in the cinema for 12 times, and I watched the DVDs for many many times. The Battle of the Five Armies, 15 times.
I never realized that it actually took me a long time to go through the middle-earth journey. And my love for The Hobbit started as a flower for the love of the Lord of the Rings, now grows into a fruit for the love of The Hobbit Itself.
This love is so resemble yet different from the love of LotR. Itās new and fresh and worth pouring in all those laughter and tears.
Since I donāt want to hear sad goodbyes like āno more middle-earth after BoFAā ā Sir Tolkienās middle-earth is always there and it will company us for a life time,
And since Iām so in love with those stories reproduced by Sir Peter Jackson and the character Thorin represented by Richard Armitage,
I want to accomplish something here. Something that has never been done before. Something meaningful. Something creditable-
For my beloved work, my beloved character, and my beloved actor.
Actually I donāt even know that I could go this far. My body condition and inner stress makes the situation tougher. But hola, here I am.
115 days and nights, nearly 1000 mails and messages, and all those questions and debates that are more than enough for a bookā¦theyāre my everyday life.
I spent all my off hours on this project. I donāt want rest. I want to get things done. I got so many things to do and so little time left. I canāt give up. I canāt stop.
From time to time, I took a look at actorsā interviews, especially Richard Armitageās interview. I listened as he talked about his way of acting, his understanding of Thorinās isolation and gloomy. And from time to time, I took out the movie again. I watched as Thorinās eyes shined for all kinds of emotions, and as Richard gave amazing life to this very complicated character.
I cried sometimes. Then I knew better what I should do.
Mocking, doubts, and scolding might trouble me, but they wouldnāt stop me. Stick and stones.
Then gradually, the King became my teacher, my lover, my baby. I canāt even express my fond love for it.
When I was in the slump, the King became my intrinsic motivation to fight back. Itās my salvation.
Of course what really held me together, was the undying kindled light in my heart, and the desire to do more for more people.
And everything I experienced, came from the very work, the very movie, and the very people.
All I wish to say is thank you.
I received helps from many people, and Iām so pleased and grateful to know so many people.
China is a country that is big enough, yet the King connects me to people around the world and makes my life even more colorful.
Me, sitting in front of my little laptop, have experienced so many sceneries and emotions from different part of the world.
Iām so getting used to say āthank youā and āsorryā now. And ā: ļ¼ā always appears after my name.
Wishing somehow I could meet every of you who participates in and supports this project face to face. To smile with you, so say thank you in person.
But thatās it. So let the book speaks for me.
