I’m cooked, friends. I feel way more confident in diapers than in regular clothes—or nothing at all. 👀
I decided to ditch the pull-ups today and go back to what I know.
It was strange because once I was dressed and heading out of the door, even though the pull-ups were definitely much more discrete and they are comfortable to the point where you almost don’t know you are wearing them, from a different point of view I felt much more comfortable.
It got me thinking about stigma. The stigma associated with tape on nappies/diapers is such that we often feel like; I must try and wear something else because my underwear is supposed to look more like “regular” underwear. Companies go to great length to try and help create this illusion that absorbent underwear must look as close as possible to non-absorbent underwear.
Strange analogy I know but I often think it slightly odd that companies that make vegetarian food often go to significant effort make products that are designed to look and taste like meat but not be meat. To make vegetables look like pork sausages etc.🤔
Anyway so as I was walking to the car, yes I could feel the relatively thick padding under my trousers. I have got used to that feeling a long time ago. The overriding feeling I had was not that I was worried that my underwear, which no one will see today, looks different to other people. The overriding feeling I had compared to yesterday was that I was relaxed. The anxiety from the last couple of days had gone and I just felt confident that even though I had a really busy day planned, I could just get on with it. Focus on the tasks at hand, focus on being good at my job and supporting my team. More importantly not focusing on whether I am going to make it to the toilet on time or whether I might leak on my trousers and the office furniture.
So to conclude, I am still affected by the stigma. I am not trying to kid anyone that I am not. I wore underwear over my nappy today on the very slim possibility that I had time to got to the gym, and so felt the need to try and pretend that my underwear is just normal underwear. But I do hope that little by little things might change. I am not sure they will but I can still hope that they could and the millions of people like me who’s underwear needs are a little different might be helped to feel more comfortable and it be less of a taboo.
Anyway just some thoughts🤔
Do someone wants to chat? 🩲🍼👼
caught mid-thought: "maybe if i look serious enough, no one will notice i'm padded" ...spoiler: they always notice 😔✨
The best part of staying at a friend’s house is falling asleep and waking up to them cuddling you 🥰😴🧸🧸

Wore Goodnites on an airplane!
TSA made me take off my belt and quite a few people saw the waistband of these XXLs. Just bedwetter things.
every time my boyfriend gets drunk, he wets the bed. so now, whenever he wants to go clubbing with his friends, i make him wear a diaper underneath his clothes, so when he comes home at 3 in the morning and inevitably pisses himself, at least the sheets stay dry. plus, it doesn’t hurt that he just looks soooo cute like this…
