SERVITORS
A servitor is an entity created deliberately by a magician to fulfil a set range of tasks. Phil Hine, a British writer and occultist, wrote that servitors are created "by deliberately budding off portions of our psyche and identifying them by means of a name, trait, symbol [after which] we can come to work with them (and understand how they affect us) at a conscious level."
A Wikipedia article on the subject goes into the thoughtform continuum and various uses for servitors. "Servitors form part of a thoughtform continuum: from sigils, to servitors, to egregores, to godforms. At the start of the continuum are "dumb, unintelligent sigils", which represent a particular desire or intention. When a complex of thoughts, desires and intentions gains such a level of sophistication that it appears to operate autonomously from the magician's consciousness, as if it were an independent being, then such a complex is referred to as a servitor. When such a being becomes large enough that it exists independently of any one individual, as a form of "group mind", then it is referred to as an egregore. Alternatively, a magician may choose to create servitors from negative aspects of their psyche, such as "habits, shortcomings, faults, revulsions", rather than positive desires or intentions. In doing so, they can interact with those traits as personal demons, and bind or banish them to eradicate them from the psyche."
How to Make/Use a Servitor
When making a servitor, it is advised to give it a unique name that only you know, and also make a sigil using that name. This will allow you to call it to you. You also need a way to dismiss/kill it when you're done with it. It is also helpful to have an anchor item that the servitors energy is anchored to. If the anchor is destroyed, the servitor will dissipate. You can also dismiss it by using a command or giving it a time frame upon creation.
Call: " I call upon you." (x3) Dismissal: "you are dismissed. Your energy will now dissipate into source energy." (x3) Death: "___ I call for your death. Easy passing." (x3)
To Create
Write a letter to the servitor as if it already exists. Include its name and its functions. Include how it will be called upon, how it will be dismissed, and the death command. You will also state what its anchor item is. Put the sigil in the letter and state that that is the sigil for them. It is advised to do this in a meditative state. Visualize it in your mind and describe its features and appearance. Ideally, you will take a few days to reread and edit this letter. Visualize and revisualize your servitor each time. Then take the sigil and focus on it, then call for it to awaken/come to life. Visualize this process. (Coming out of the sigil as a genie would out of a lamp, in fetal position and opening its eyes for the first time, etc.) Then, address it directly, talk to it and treat it with respect. Once you have done that, put it to work!
