So...I came up with a bad ending to my Howard Morose au. Here Phillip fails to convince Gunths to take him back to the island to save Howard. This results in Howard fully succumbing to his stockholm syndrome and becomes fully loyal to Thomas and fully falls for him. (Spoiler alert the bad ending is canon to my au's story line)

Since I'm here I'll go ahead and give you the good ending. Gunths let's Phillip go back to the island so Howard and be saved. When Phillip returns to the island Howard unconscious inside the manor/lab. Thomas summons the old great one to try to stop Phillip. Phillip manages to put the god back to sleep, and Thomas tries to stop Phillip himself...only of Thomas to be eaten by his pet. Phillip runs inside to retrieve Howard. He picks him up and returns to the boat (which isn't destroyed here) and returns to the mainland. Once back Howard is taken to the hospital. Phillip stays with Howard during the healing process and once Howard is released they move in together. Months later they started to date and a few months later after that they get married and Phillip promises himself to treat Howard better than Thomas did when Howard was still married to the madman.

Phillip Maude and Howard Plunkett are happily married in the good ending.

Maybe I'll have them be Phillip Plunkett and Howard Maude lol.

Soo...I got bored and decided to try to make Howard from The Island of Doctor Morose in Stardew Valley.

It's not the greatest since I worked with what was given but I like it.

Also accessories didn't have a hat so I used something that looks like a shadow over the eyes and I can't change the shoes until later in the game so their stuck on as brown for now.

The reason I choose the Riverland farm was because it's split spread across several islands...get it?

I also choose a black cat to name Knowhere.

I'm going to get a rabbit and name it Phillip...

For some reason I don't know why, but every time I think about my Howard Morose au all I can think of is the song 'This day Aria' from MLP and I find that ironic...and funny too lol.

It makes sense though. Just think of the roles.

Meet Chibi Gem Howard and Chibi Howard Morose. Chibi versions of my two aus.

If you look closely you can see that Gem Howard's face is cracked, that's the injury he got when he used to work with Thomas and Samantha. He also wears gloves to help control the powers he has.

Also it looks like Howard Morose doesn't want to be there with a vision of him that has freedom.

(Maybe it's best if we don't tell him about Gem Howard's original past. We want Howard Morose to trust Gem Howard right?)

So I decided to redraw the image I made when I first came up with my Howard Morose au and I can't tell if I did it better or worse. So here it is.

I decided to add some more details, and gave Howard more of an expression that's supposed to be a mix of giving up and sadness, I changed up the dress and headpiece a bit and gave him a veil. I also tried to make it look like he was holding flowers for more detail.

Here's the first one I did.

If I'm being honest I like the mirror shading on the old version more lol. But, feel free to give your opinion. Which one do you like better?

I just thought I'd give some details about Gem Howard since I've been giving my Howard Morose au more attention..anyway:

•When Howard's gem is corrupted by the old great one he becomes highly aggressive and will attack anyone who was responsible for the old ones awakening. (may or may not include Phillip.)

•If his gem is cracked he losses control over part of his powers and loses the other half.

•His original outfit when he worked for Samantha and Thomas was a lab coat and safety goggles.

•Howard's powers are elemental based so he can control different elements.

•When Howard losses himself to madness due to the darkness he'll learn the ability to control darkness.

•The molten man can corrupt Howard making him lose all his powers.

•As of now I still don't know how Blood Howard should work.

Okay, I think I'm losing it because I have yet another idea for the Howard Morose idea. Like I stated before Howard is slowly succumbing to stockholm syndrome and is starting to stay near Thomas even more, so my idea is that Thomas is trying to speed up the process by being more 'loving' towards Howard by giving him more freedom to explore island to make sure Howard completely succumbs to stockholm syndrome before Phillip's return. Howard eventually arrives back at Lucky's Bar and reunites with Knowhere who breaks character and is heartbroken and horrified at what Thomas did to Howard. Knowhere talks to Howard every vist to try to slow the process of stockholm syndrome down just enough for when Phillip returns to stop the mad doctor. Knowhere tells Howard that Phillip will return and a hold onto hope longer and to not completely fall for Thomas as he knows that the marriage is becoming more toxic and possessive by the minute. Meanwhile, back on the mainland Phillip is trying to convince Montgomery Gunth (or is it Gunths? I don't remember) to take him back to the island to which Montgomery refuses due to the rules. However, one day when Montgomery is doing a delivery for Thomas he sees Howard. At first he was still angry with him for stealing the boat, but once he found out about the marriage and saw the signs of stockholm syndrome Mr. Montgomery finally understands on his way back to the mainland why Phillip wants to return to the island..to save Howard from Doctor Thomas Morose.

Decided to open up an 'ask me anything' with my Howard aus feel free to ask them anything. I'm not good at writing rhymes but I'll try to answer as many questions as possible and will answer as many questions about them as possible.

Came up with something weird about the Howard Morose au (then again my ideas are always weird) Sometimes during the middle of the night when stars are out Howard would sneak out of bed to look at them when he can't sleep but he started to leave a note letting Thomas know where he when. When Howard is alone he thinks of Phillip, thinking about the life he could've had with him, thinking about the love he held for Phillip deep down, but the slow development of stockholm syndrome were slowly getting rid of those feelings and was slowly making Howard think his relationship and marriage to Thomas was healthy with has been resulting in Howard clinging onto Thomas during the night. When Thomas comes looking for Howard to bring him back to bed he usually finds Howard by the docks and Thomas would pick him up to carry him back to their shared room knowing Howard would be too tired to walk. Back with Phillip however, he is planning on returning to the island to try to take his best friend back and stop the mad doctor from manipulating Howard more. Phillip knew he was going to lose his future husb-...I mean lose Howard to the mad doctor if he didn't do something soon.

Some new ideas for my Howard Morose au, Thomas is extremely possessive over Howard the point he killed one of his own experiments after they too close, Howard is terrified that he's becoming too attached to Thomas the more he's around the mad doctor. Howard wish deep down that Samantha could be brought back to life so he can leave the island but he knows that'll never happen. However, Howard did meet some people he can call his friends, but has to keep them a secret from Thomas.

Feel free to imagine who the new friends are.

Also shoutout to the one who came up the the name starlab for the ship name between Howard and Thomas on my last post for this au.

Okay I finally came up with an idea for my Gem Howard au. Phillip is the only one who while be able to fix Howard's gem if he's shattered, corrupted, or cracked as Phillip had found Samantha's old journal relating to such outcomes. I also decided to make Phillip extremely overprotective over Howard after everything happens. Also for some reason I like to imagine the cat in the hat out of all people being involved. Why? Good question I don't know, but I'm still thinking about his role in all this, possibly being one of the reasons why Howard was created, and maybe keeps secrets from Phillip about Howard's past and abilitys. The cat's role will play an important part of this story however seeing as he'll have the most of the information Phillip will need to know about Howard and powers his dear best friend holds. But here is the question will the cat in the hat be willing to hand over that information or will he keep it all a secret that will eventually fall apart leading to more of an issue making Phillip see him as someone who works for the mad doctor even though the cat doesn't?

Came up with yet another idea for my Howard Morose au...Howard is very unhappy with his marriage to Thomas due to everything he had to deal with up to this point Unfortunately, he is slowly losing himself to Stockholm Syndrome so he tries to write more to Phillip to try to keep himself sane enough. Doctor Morose sees this and makes sure Howard has more tasks to do or just keeps Howard near him all day. At night Howard spends a few minutes outside to look at the stars (if he can see them) until Morose makes him come back inside. Every night Howard wishes he was with Phillip, he misses his best friend a lot, but he knows the odds of seeing Phillip again were low.

P.s No, I didn't forget about my Gem Howard au I still think about it. Also what would be the ship name between Howard Plunkett and Thomas Morose even be?

Here's something I decided to come up with for my Howard Morose au (still a working title) Howard is still allowed to send Phillip letters he's just not allowed to see him or leave the island. Howard is also the one who feeds Nessie and helps with the experiments the mad doctor continues to do. He stopped visiting Lucky's Bar as he felt like he was no longer welcome there, but Knowhere still wants Howard to visit as he does miss the company. Also Phillip sends Howard letters everyday wishing for his friend to come home. Poor Phillip misses Howard so much to the point he keeps Howard's brown hat for comfort and even started to wear his best friends jacket. As for Mr. Thomas Morose let's just say when no experiments are being done he keeps Howard close to him at all times.

So I thought of something weird...what if Howard had to marry Doctor Morose in order to save Phillip? I like to imagine Morose offering a deal to Howard saying that if Howard must marry him if he wants to keep Phillip save, Morose says he'll let Phillip return to the mainland safety but Phillip must not see a word about the island. Howard reluctantly agrees much to Phillip's horror. Doctor Morose keeps his promise (surprisingly) and let Phillip return to the mainland. Howard is taken to a room to prepare for his fate..I don't have a name for this now au yet, but now Howard well be known as Howard Morose instead of Howard Plunkett.

Something interesting about Gem Howard, he is aware of the existences of other Howard aus. He does have the ability to visit them, he visits them every now and then, but only visits the ones he sees as safe. He doesn't stay to long due to fear of being seen by their worlds Phillip, Angelique, or Doctor Morose. He is mostly afraid of Doctor Morose due to the trauma he got from his own Morose. Gem Howard stays on guard most of the time during he visits as not to get caught being in a world he's not usually supposed to be in. One time Gem Howard visited one of the lesser safe Howard aus and nearly got himself shattered because of it and one time during one of his normal visits he almost got caught by that worlds Phillip, he did manage to hide at last second.

I decided to give more info about my little au. Howard is highly sensitive to fusion after being forced to fuse with Morse, he's full on terrified of it. If he fused with someone even by accident he'll have a panic attack and immediately unfuse with the person and would run away. Unfortunately, since he was fused with Morose for so long before Phillip and Angelique managed to split them, in the back of Howard's and and deep down in his heart...he missed Morose..missed the fusion they were together. When Phillip and Angelique took Howard on a small fishing trip to try to make him feel better, but Howard's mind was still on that fusion, on Morose. The control that the mad doctor held over the fusion had made Howard dependent on Morose. Once Phillip and Angelique found out they did their best to make Howard forget about Doctor Morose, telling him that horror was done and over with, saying that Morose was dead. I like to imagine two possible endings for this plot, one of them is were Howard finally let's go and moves on and getting over his fear eventually fusing with Phillip without any problem. The other one is were Howard returns to the island and finds out that Morose had used a save flower and was still alive, and after a chat between the two...Howard accepts to fuse with the mad doctor again.

I really need to make more good endings instead of traumatizing Howard. The main bad ending is where Howard is rejuvenated, this is where Howard puts the old god to sleep, get forced to fuse with Morose, and gets saved by Phillip and Angelique after a few months of being fused. The main good ending is where Morose stays dead and Howard moves on. So I have two bad endings and one good ending that's fun. My mind is mixed with ideas for this au.

I've been thinking about the Siren Howard au made by @drownedsilverforever a lot, it's an amazing au and it's one of my favorite tiodm aus. So I like to imagine that if Siren Howard met Gem Howard from my Gem Howard au it would be a rough unpleasant first meeting since I'm pretty sure Siren Howard hates Doctor Morose. I can see Siren Howard trying to attack, drown, or possibly shatter Gem Howard at first since Gem Howard originally worked for Morose before the doctor went mad and insane. Now I'm wondering how Siren Howard reacts to the other Howard aus.
