Will it scorch to fly high? - Icarus
“I had been hungry all the years”
by Emily Dickinson
I had been hungry all the years; My noon had come, to dine; I, trembling, drew the table near, And touched the curious wine.
‘Twas this on tables I had seen, When turning, hungry, lone, I looked in windows, for the wealth I could not hope to own.
I did not know the ample bread, ‘Twas so unlike the crumb The birds and I had often shared In Nature’s dining-room.
The plenty hurt me, ’t was so new, Myself felt ill and odd, As berry of a mountain bush Transplanted to the road.
Nor was I hungry; so I found That hunger was a way Of persons outside windows, The entering takes away.

Time is right only when you're ready.
What do I call thee (?)
My happy corner!
on aching for something you can’t name
In the saddest of times,
Under drooping shoulders,
A flower awaits blooming,
In the late hours,
of your lonesome journey,
A star awaits its prodigy,
the best comes late,
my fellow hustlers,
Be patient and have faith!
Although I'm not a logophile, I couldn't help falling for Japanese words; almost involuntarily, like a reflex of some sort.
'Kintsugi' is one such word. It's a Japanese way of joining broken pottery using lacquer inflected with gold powder that gives it a beautiful design. They say it symbolises a philosophy of life, i.e. of embracing our struggles and repairing our faults with love. We become more beautiful by having being broken.
The simplicity of this thought, and the profound meaning entrenched to it, make it very fond to me. And with this humble note, and with many more in coming times, I will try my best to share some stories/episodes in kintsugi way of philosophy and hope to bring some goodness/positivity in it.
