Night. It was raining too. You can feel the breeze of the wind even if you had closed your window, you're sure of it. It felt nice and you can genuinely sleep right now but you didn't because you wanna enjoy the night time by doing things you wanted to do.

You had just finished taking a bath and making dinner for yourself which consisted of just instant noodle and a can of soda. If you were to tell this to Nadia and Yuna, they both would've been going shopping spree to refill your refrigerator and also you stomach there.Honestly,you feel like a rich child getting spoiled by these two over here.Honestly,you didn't know how to bring those up because they had been helping you ever since the first year yet you also feel bad if you outright refused their help so suddenly so you just shut up about it and let them both do their thing here.

You open your laptop and clicks the link that Nadia had send over to you during afternoon earlier, it's a somewhat miracle you didn't forget what she told you and your forgetful self. You waited for the game to be fully downloaded while having another tab open which were just a fanfic that you saved very long time ago from a author that didn't update that said fic for years now and it had such amazing story that all you could do is just reread the fanfic for the unknown time by now while clinging onto a tiny glimmer hope of the author will come back and update the fanfic, even a mere author's note is enough to tell you that the author's still alive just not very much active in these times days.Just as you read a paragraph of the fic,the game had finished downloading.You switched over to the game and starts the game.You were greeted by a absolutely gorgeous man with short purple hair and eyes.You also can hear the game's music here. Speaking of music, makes you think, what is Yuna doing these days? Neither you and Nadia had been hearing news from the utaite recently even if the three of you are in the same university just not in same dorm and course.

Pushing all of it aside, you clicked start with your mouse. With a click, you can see some UI here and there,pretty much your typical otome game settings.Entering your name in game as "Yuki".You didn't know why you put it there but it's a nickname Yuna gave to you during winter season.Yuna told you that you reminded her of snow and a warm cup of cocoa. You are attached to the nickname for some reason, probably because of the fact that someone like her still giving out nicknames as a adult when usually some people didn't use nicknames anymore due to it sounding childish. Well, that is what you remember someone telling you that anyways.

Pressing on the first chapter or well, prologue,you are greeted by a animation of the characters,it was a concert according to the background and it seem like the concert had ended. One by one, you hear the voices and see the animations. The characters in this game are very charming and you wonder who are the artist for this game because they need to get a pat on their shoulder for doing such a good job designing and drawing the characters. Your eyes are on white haired guy(Not Noah). You noticed that he didn't wear glasses here, contact lens maybe. Damn you and your obsession with soft looking guys with glasses who might or not might be older than you. Playing the game while laying on your bed like a hopeless loon, you had somehow grow out your interested with this Shuu character even more. You hopelessly played through the game and even complete some of the missions the game had given out to you although you had to complain about the amount of gems the game gave to Nadia later on.

10:07 p.m.

The rain still hasn't stopped yet.You are almost nearing the route selection with this one final chapter left. You also tried out the gacha and you are thankful that the game is very nice with the gacha system, unlike those games you played in the past (Although,Obey Me is a bit generous at least with the amount of gems thingy.Wait,what is that thing you use to gacha in that game again?)

You didn't realise that you had been on your phone for half an hour surprisingly due to you being so intrigued in this game. Who is the writer? You wanted to give the writer an pat on the back for doing a good job on writing the stories here.

But, after you're about to continue and start the routes, you passed out due you not having a good night sleeps for like these few days.At first you feel sleepy then you are battling your eyes so they won't close and then you faceplanted onto your pillow,how wonderful.

You had just finished your class after your lecturer keeping on yapping on about something like "You all will get married and continue on the legacy" or something. You don't remember much since you're spacing out again in class,like usual.It's not your fault that your lecturer teach the actual subject of your elective for only one hour of class then for the rest remaining hours were just the other students who is your fellow classmate,more specifically those smarter ones asking questions that you also didn't hear due to you blocking them out and going on your daydreams.

You packed your notebook(that is filled to brim with sketches and doodles of cats, stickmens and possibly your hyperfixations) and closing your laptop then shoving it inside your bag and closing it up. You also grabbed your water bottle,there is no way you're going to leave your water bottle like that in the open, that thing is expensive and you are kinda struggling with your expenses right now so no thanks.

When you walked out from the room you were in, you could see that people were doing their own things in the campus. There are some people chilling out in the cafeteria, people studying in the library,people sleeping in some benches here and there and people hanging out together with their buddies. Since it's currently Valentine's Day.. Of course you're going to see couples everywhere.. Ugh.. Lovebirds.. If you feel lonely and single then you are going to feel you're worthless and hopeless at this point by the amount of lovey-dovey actions here. Hey atleast the chocolates are on discount so that's good.

You can see a huge cherry blossom in the middle of the campus,its been three years since you are here. It's literally the campus's famous landmark to those who went here or at least heard of this place. You feel somewhat calm everytime you passed by it. It's nice. You take a few steps towards the bench underneath the said tree then take a seat on it. A nice break and also a place that often become a hanging out spot for you and your bestie, Nadia.Now speaking of which, you see a blonde haired lady with white fringe and a eye patch covering her right eye is coming towards your way.. Yup, that is definitely Nadia with her famous eye patch there.

"Hey! I'm here! Just finished your class? Here, I bought you some mochi! I got it form a café near my dorm, I know the manager there so I got a discount hehe" Nadia pulls out a pack of mochi from the plastic she was holding,the package had a soft pink ribbon with a sticker that has a bunny on it. Cute.

"These mochi has chocolate fillings in it so I obviously had to get these for both of us! Best believe me, these tasted so good! " Nadia exclaimed with a smile on her face as she take a seat next to you. You opened the box and surprisingly, it offers lot amount of mochis in the box compared to some places that only give you small amount of portion for such prices.You took a mochi out, soft green coloured mochi,the colour itself reminds you of that one leaf of a flower that you used to plant as a kid. You took a bite,it tasted good as it looks. The chocolate in the mochi offers a savoury and sweet flavour while the outside gave off a nice chewy feeling in your mouth. You had to ask where the café that Nadia went so you can check out the foods there.Hopefully, they're cheap though.

"So, are you planning to stream tonight or nah?" Nadia asked as her soft green eye looked into yours. "No, I was planning to not stream for a while." You replied as you take another bite of another mochi. "Oh that's great! Because I have a game recommendation that I wanna show you!" Nadia reached into her bag, pulls out her tablet and opens it. "That game is a otome game,its about idols! The idols are adults, so are the mc so don't about seeing weird shit inside that game hehe oh and I worked as one of the devs there so here!" Nadia showed the tablet to you.You reads out the game's name "Idols of Starlight.. " Well, the only time you can remember playing otome games is when you are like still a highschool student, you're playing a lot of otome games like Dangerous Fellows, Obey Me and what is that name again? Mystic Messenger? Damn you really need to get back into those games later when you have time and try to learn patience if you really wanna grind again.Shivers run down you spine at the thought of having to grind for a very, very long time just to continue the game.

It was also a breeze to hear about the game from Nadia's mouth about like the characters being grown adults.You still can remember wincing at your own computer when you found out that the mc of the game you're playing that time is a underage student who aren't even old enough to drive and the some of the love interests are.. Let's just say twice the age of the mc's. The yandere aspects of the characters aren't even good enough! The way the writers just like writing those makes you think "yeah, the creator of the game is definitely a immature girl or some crap" because where the actual fuck is the plot? It shitass as fuck.You still remember how quickly you closed the game, deleted the game from your computer and opened up Netflix to distract yourself from whatever horror that game is.

"These are the characters and let me tell you, the game are written well and I had fun coding these! I wanna tell you so much more like eek!- I love Noah so much like he is so cute-" There goes Nadia looking like she is about to melt,she is covering her face with her hands and you can even see her vibrating with excitement.She is even kicking and giggling her feet.At the public too? That is some courage and braveness she had there. You still trying to understand how you even befriended her.. Or well, she pick you up one day and just like "You're my bestie now!" yeah, that is definitely how it actually happend.

You take a look at the characters and you must admit, they looked nice and Nadia even played some of the voice lines. Their voices sounded nice and their outfits are pretty too. Your eyes are attracted to a guy with glasses, he looked.. Soft and you had this feeling of wanting headpat him just to feel his hair. Shuu huh? You will keep him on your mind for later.

"I will send the game's link to you right now so you can play it later when you're free! Have a nice day girlie because uh, I'm realizing that I'm having a class in 10 minutes so I need to rush, take care of yourself! Rest well too okay! " Nadia immediately stood up after making sure she packed up her things and runs off,leaving you there alone.

Now that you're alone.. Maybe you should take your time to actually relearn all the materials. Your exams are nearing and you kinda don't remember shit much.. Yeah definitely need to relearn everything you might forgotten.. But you will definitely playing that game that Nadia worked in together with the devs, she must had worked hard to make that game so the least you can do is play it.

(Peeks out head from behind the door) Hi, I'm finally done from exam(for now,i still had two subjects exams in two weeks)

So, remember that silly Lil ddlc pic with Shuu that I made? Yeah that thing made me fall into a rabbit hole with Ryuuki01 sksksk,we have a whole ass planning and conversation about that shit sksksk

So, I would like to introduce you to Virus Au! It's basically a au where is still the same game but with the elements of ddlc which is 4th wall break!

The boys will play a special role when you, the player, the mc playing the game! You just didn't notice it, everything looks fine to you. In this au, you're juts university student who is part time streamer.You learned of the game's existence because of your friend, Nadia! She is a full time coder and programmer and works on the game as one of the devs!("Wait, isn't she also a hacker though?" shhh, shush. Let her be for now, she will get that skill out later on in the story.) Nadia plays a special role in this one so try to guess what role it is :)

Aight so let me just pull out the roles that my girlie pop Ryuuki came up,thank you girlie pop <3 (Although I just copy-pasted it oof)

So first we have Noah who acts as a safewall to contain Shuu and basically the easiest to break from the inside (Although the safewall is strong, it's easy to break from the inside)

Hikaru,he is a code that could act accordingly if something needed to be intervine (Basically a second safewall)

Ren is the firewall that acts to guard between the virus and outside world(To ensure that there is no fourth wall break)

Then Finn,a code that was made to ensure everything stays in line as the story progress and keep the whole place smooth(Think of a game operator who tries to keep everything in line)

Rian-Another rational mind meant to fix the safe wall and firewall if anything were to happen but lacks purpose if the walls were to be gone first (If Noah,Hikaru and Ren were gone,which causing the safewall and firewall to be gone, Rian has nothing to fix at this point.)

Last but not least,Shuu.A virus that was made to test how much knowledge it can hold and become obsessed with us a.k.a players when we entered said game but hide it menacingly well under a gentle mask, he's aware ofc of what the others REAL purpose are and this virus process that the others are trying to help the players us to get off the game safely which means leaving HIM behind.So, he had to take drastic measures from the inside.(This au making me scared of him even more, thanks Ryuuki!)

Now about Nadia, she will play a special role in which when one of them reaches out to her, she will immediately use her skills to protect the mc.At this point, she would just click delete in that game in mc's laptop/phone pfft
