KiraSaya Week 2021 - Day 7: Free Space (I decided to do a continuation of what I wrote for Day 6; so please check that out too!)

Sayaka stirred and stretched slightly as she began to wake up. She wasn’t quite sure where she was. She blinked, disoriented. The room appeared blurry before she rubbed at her eyes with the back of her hand. She covered her mouth when she let out a large yawn.

That’s right, Sayaka thought. I was waiting for the President to return, so I got a head start on her paperwork for her.

Another yawn came from her when she tried to sit up. As she did, she quickly found out she couldn’t move. Her eyes then snapped open.

KiraSaya Week Day 6 - Rest

Silence surrounded Kirari when she finally arrived back at the Academy after dealing with some Clan business. She had nearly asked Ririka to take care of it for her since she usually hated boring meetings, but she figured she could handle it. It turned out to be a rather trivial matter in the long run anyway. All she knew was that she wanted to finish up any Student Council work then head back home.

Kirari pushed open the heavy doors to the Council room. They creaked and groaned from their own weight before closing behind her with a thunk. As expected, the room appeared empty as the rest of the Student Council headed home long ago. However, she did notice a figure slumped in their chair with their head resting on their folded arms.

KiraSaya Week 2021 - Day 5: Flowers

Sayaka frantically ran around her room in order to gather everything she needed that night. One by one, she added things to the small bag that sat atop her bed. Her wallet, just in case. The keys to her home if they were out until late in the evening. She debated it for a moment before she threw a pack of breath mints into the bag as well.

Cliché, certainly, but one can’t be too careful, Sayaka thought.

As Sayaka continued her frenzied preparation, her phone chimed to let her know a text came in. She froze, suddenly pulled from her anxious stupor, then shook her head. She scooped up her phone and unlocked it.

The display read, “One unread message: Kirari.”

KiraSaya Week 2021 - Day 4: (After Hours) AU

“Midari, where are you?” Sayaka said into her phone as she pushed her way through the thick crowd of the club. She squinted when a quick flash of light cut through the darkness and crossed her face.

“I don’t really know, to tell ya the truth,” Midari answered, barely audible over the thrumming music. “Let’s just wander until we run into each other.”

Before Sayaka could answer, a loud boom came from one of the speakers and a flash of pyrotechnics lit up the room. She tensed up, nearly dropped her phone, then laughed nervously.

“Actually, I don’t think I can do this.”

This is simply the worst, Kirari thought.

She sniffled and let out a low groan as she sunk deeper into the soft blankets of her bed. Sweat made her bangs stick uncomfortably to her forehead. Her entire body ached and felt cold despite her fever. She took in a slow, deep breath until her bedroom door creaked open.

KiraSaya Week 2021 - Day 2: Photos/Memories

Early morning sunlight streamed through the kitchen window and lit up the room in a warm yellow glow. A freshly brewed cup of tea sat on the table to Kirari’s right. Spread out in front of her were dozens of photos that were taken over the past few years. A warm smile finally pulled on Kirari’s lips when she gently picked up one of the photos between her fingers.
