Thank you for visiting my Out of Character/Character Development Journal!

I go by Kirasha (or Kira), am pushing mid-forties, use she/her pronouns, and live in the Pacific Time Zone (GMT - 8). I work a demanding full-time job. I can be slow to respond as a result. But, I try to at least check in for messages once a day and to post at least one response to all lines every week.

To make it easier on me, all my character blogs are sideblogs to this one. So, if you follow any of the below blogs, this is the blog that will follow you back.

I recommend following both this blog and the character blog(s) you’re interested in writing with as it lets me know where your interest lies and it also ensures you don’t miss any important OOC notices (like hiatuses, etc.) if I miss reblogging to a character blog.

All characters are OC, AU, Fusion, and Crossover friendly.

If I’ve followed you, it means I want to write with you. I generally lurk for a few days, reading posts, getting a feel for the writing before reaching out to those I’ve newly followed. In generall, however, I will wait for blogs that are mutuals only to follow back before reaching out.

If you’ve followed me, please give me a few days to check out your blog and decide if we’re a potential fit. These are not a follow-for-follow blogs, but they are mutuals only. If your blog does not have an age statement indicating you are 21+, a rules/guidelines page, and a character bio (for canons as well as OCs), I will not follow back. If you have the above and I don’t follow back, it likely means I just don’t see our characters interacting or our styles meshing well.

My ask box is always open. Please feel free to message me for any reason.

Just popping in quickly to say I haven’t disappeared.

My big project ran into problems post-deployment and I’ve been scrambling ever since. We just got the fix released and things look good. So, with any luck, I should be able to start writing again in the next couple days.

Hey all!

Doesn’t look like I’m going to get to much of anything tonight. 12 hour day with far too much troubleshooting and tracking down customer issues. My brain is shot. Tomorrow should be a bit lighter. Just had two of my eight meetings for the day cancelled. So, I will try to be on earlier to write replies and answer messages.

Feel free to take a stroll through starters or memes, if you like, and I’ll write replies tomorrow.

Happy Friday, all!

I have had a week, I can’t even tell you. At team meetings my uber boss likes to ask about our wins and blockers for the week. For me, what I thought was my win on Tuesday became my curse yesterday and it’s still swinging.

So, I got a bit behind in keeping up. But, I’m done for the week now and planning to play catch up on the replies and starters I owe on all my blogs. I’ll toss a few memes up first, then dive in.

I should be around for 3 or 4 hours. So, feel free to pop ‘round and say ‘hey’.

*sings to you* We have a responsibility to our readers to do our background research.

*strokes your face* Accuracy matters because inaccuracies take the reader out of the fic.

*hugs you tightly in a full body embrace* Yes, you are not paid to write, but readers have a finite time they can dedicate to reading and that time is valuable to them.

Good afternoon!

I’ll be around the rest of the day working on the last little tweaks to cleaning up my blogs’ pages and getting some interaction starters up. There are already plotting calls up for those who are interested, as well as some writing samples reblogged from their old blogs, since I know how difficult it is to decide to follow a blog with zero idea of how they write. I’ll be throwing up some starter calls, open starters, and memes tonight as well.

Hello!

It feels like an age. (Okay, it’s been a couple of them! heh)

I owe so many apologies for disappearing without warning. Things in real life got weird and that was before there was a global pandemic throwing everything out of wack. I’ve had some major shifts in my work life that have kept me away. But, I’m slowly coming back.

Now that I have more time again, I want to get back into writing/rp.

I’ve archived all my character blogs and started fresh. I’ll still be writing the same group. But, I needed a clean break from the history on each, since it’s been so long and I’m sure a ton of my followers and partners have, rightly, moved on.

if you have a multimuse: you’re awesome. it takes a lot of hard work and effort to balance multiple muses and keep a multi organised. your muses are no less important than those on single muse blogs, they are all wonderful. you’re valid, you matter, and all your muses are amazing.

if you write an oc: you’re awesome. personally i’m so scared with writing original characters, because it’s a huge responsibility. you’ve created a character & created their whole world, and that’s incredible, so never let anybody tell you that ocs aren’t as great as canons. that’s bullshit. i’m proud of you for putting your original content out there. you’re valid, you matter, and your muse is amazing.

if you write a canon character: you’re awesome. it doesn’t matter if there are 100 other versions of your muse, you’re adding something new and unique by writing your own interpretation of them. putting yourself out there and showing everyone how you view a muse you love is such an amazing thing. you’re valid, you matter, and your muse is amazing.

Reblog if your CANON blog takes *anons* pretending to be other characters from their series to dig out the dirt on your muse.

IE: emotions, opinions, reactions to stuff that happened in canon, etc.

Because sometimes the counterparts to my canon muse(s) don’t exist in the tumblr RPC, a sender follows you but doesn’t rp here, OR, they just want to TRY that muse out before making a blog. Or, they’re simply curious on how the canon would reply, and ONLY wants a one-shot moment!
