Thereâs a vampire nearby.. Her eyes blinked as she scoped the area. She wasnât sure if this new vampire was a threat or not. She raises her fists up, ready to punch in case something were to come at her. Her survival mattered most.
â â Running up the rooftop, Kirina jumped over the edge, flipping forward to slow her momentum before landing. She could sense someone was nearby, someone with...power. The trail lead her to a small creature she could see from afar. Someone so small is this powerful? She grinned, finding this thought hilarious. The Shifter began walking closer to her, finding her scent foreign but...sweet?
Kingdom Hearts AU
âKiri⊠please be okayâŠâ Annalise whispered softly, biting her lip. The entire castle was tainted in darkness but she focused on the dark energy she had sensed earlier. It had become more controlled and moved through the castle before stopping. Annalise continued making her way down, her keyblade was put away but she kept her head high. âI WILL save you Kirina. I wonât let you fade into darkness. I wonât let you be consumedâ She thought as she braced herself for what was to come.
She stopped on the other side of the door. Moving her hand up, clenching it into a fist before placing her hand on the door and pushing it open. She stepped inside and let the door close behind her as she took in the sight of the person in front of her. Kirina.
So many emotions passed through Annalise at once, shock at the new outfit, relief that she seemed physically okay, heartbreak at the fact that Kirina was the source of the darkness, and the strong desire to run up to her and hug her. âKirinaâŠâ she said softly, smiling a bit as she stepped forward. She still didnât quite believe all that had happened, the sight in front of her simply confused her. âThis is my Kirina. Sheâs still the same person. She has to beâ She told herself as she spoke again âGot a new outfit? It looks really good on you. Sexy even.â She chuckled softly, trying to remove the weight on her chest. The air felt heavy and Anna feared she might not be getting enough oxygen into her lungs. She scratched the back of her head, trying to relieve some of her tension. âSo⊠um⊠are you, you know⊠okay? Like physically? You know you really scared me⊠I was really worried⊠but I still donât understand everything like Why⊠but I mean everythingâs okay as long as youâre okay right? Cause I really donât know what Iâd do without you, ya know?â Annalise rambled, feeling her finger tips tremble as she kept playing with her hair, it was always her nervous habit.Â
Anna didnât really know what she had expected, did she really think she wouldnât be surprised by the fact that Kirina really had been consumed? Did she think she could just walk in and everything would be okay? Hug it out and fix everything? Anna had no real plan and even if she did, all those thoughts would have vanished the minute she saw Kirina dressed like a badass, dark queen. The sight sent shivers down her spine, Anna both admired and feared the look. Which was the root of the problem, Anna should never be afraid of Kirina. It just wasnât right⊠but here she was, nervous at the unknown, scared that she would lose her friend, scared that she was ALREADY lost, scared because she didnât know if she could actually fight Kirina.
â â The sight of Annalise made Kirina almost stumble backwards. It was her AnnaliseâŠher sweet, beautiful AnnaliseâŠ.Who was beautiful and blindingly full of light. It was enough to make Kirinaâs power waver, but the light, in the end, only reminded her of how different they really were, and how her attempts to become closer with her would always be futile â they were meant to be enemies. She took a step forward, shifting her weight to one knee as she placed her hand on her hip, lips pursed while tapping her fingers impatiently.
âWhat are you doing here?â she replied immediately to her name, then raised a brow. The wizardress had no business being there. Kirina did not need saving, and even if she had needed it, she would save herself. No one else was necessary. The world was a lonely, empty place, and no one would change that â not even one so full of purity. As her thoughts twisted more, the air of the room became tenser and tenser. It was like the darkness was guzzling it. Kirina could feel the pressure hanging between them, but found that she didnât need to breathe as much as usual, it was she had legitimately become one with the darkness.
A smirk curled at her lips as she heard the word sexy towards her, and even better â in Annaliseâs melodious voice. With a chuckle, she shook her head. âWhy thank you, but you know⊠I a l w a y s have been,â she shot her a cocky wink. The lightened mood quickly dissipated, though, as the questions began to arise. How could she answer them honestly? It was hard to believe anything Anna was saying. She was sure that the witch had only come because the Queen had sent her, and not of her own volition.
Kirina couldnât help but roll her eyes. With a raise and a flick, she waved her hands to call the darkness forward, surrounding her as she grinned. âAs you can clearly see,â she laughed, âI am doing very well.â The cloud of darkness pulsed around her, hugging her back almost lovingly, caressing her skin softly with the temptation of power. Her smile was wicked, and she no longer saw Annalise for who she really was. She was just another light, one that needed to be p u t o u t.

â â Well, she thought, There goes that. She downed another shot. Kirina sat at a bar downtown from the city sheâd been in. The much-too-elegant dress she wore would have attracted more positive attention, if it hadnât been ripped up to her thighs. It was also soaking wet.... She sighed as the played with the tattered pieces of the skirt. She sniffled, refusing to cry, and downed yet another drink. Why does it have to take so long for vampires to get drunk?
Day Off | Open
â â The vampire walked around the empty city, bored and distraught. The gold-encrusted crown sheâd stolen the night previous was highly coveted, and it had taken hours to get away from her pursuers. She yawned, the sky above turning a bright shade of blue as the clock struck the middle of the day. Sheâd be at home sleeping, but she knew she should wait here, the town sheâd ended up in, and act normal, make it so no one suspected her or traced her - even if her face was different. She rubbed her face, frustrated. âWhy is there nothing to do here? What kind of city is empty!?â she yelled outloud, groaning. Her voice echoed. There wasnât even any prey to feast on. What a boring place sheâd ended up with.
Yoichi heard the loud echo. He couldnât quite tell what the echo was but it was obvious it was a voice. Was it human was the question. Yoichi wondered into that town with his mentor for some training but just a few minutes ago he left. Yoichi wanted to stay longer so his mentor left him behind. Yoichi enjoyed the peaceful quiet but that got ruined when he heard another echo. Was it a mistake to stay?
Up in one of the roof tops Yoichi peeked through looking for a figure of anyone. Finally he found someone. From this distance he couldnât tell if she was human or not but I he put two on two together it would make more sense if she were a vampire. After all no one has been living here. He tried to back away slowly without drawing attention but he accidentally knocked over a rock or two. She couldnât hear that right?
â â Her ears perked up, her head flying in the direction of the noise. Have I been spotted? Kirina jumped, shifting into a panther as she did, bouncing from floor to floor of buildings at lightning speeds, until she reached that rooftop. The boys image was...interesting. His uniform alerted her, it seemed like a military type. Had she wandered into a war zone? Shit. She shifted back into herself, hands in her pockets. âSo. Who are you?â she cocked an eyebrow at him. giving him a look that said he should not run.

Kingdom Hearts AU
Annalise flew through space and between the worlds on her glider, rushing towards the world known as Hollow Bastion. Once she found it, She entered through the worldâs gate, flying above the town before jumping backwards off her glider and spinning through the air before landing with her knees bent on the roof of someoneâs home. She stood up straight and her armor disappeared, returning her to her normal clothes. A one-shoulder long-sleeved, rose colored top that hugged her chest before flowing down from her waist, the back of the shirt extending over the back of her gray colored skin-tight shorts. They ended two inches below her butt and showed off her legs and finally her feet were protected by short, rose ankle boots. The outfit was easy to move and fight in but made her look good while doing so. Â
Her blonde hair pulled up in a side ponytail, the blue tips brushing her shoulder occasionally as she walked to the roofâs edge and looked over the city. âKirinaâŠâ She whispered softly, pulling out the charm bracelet she had been working on lately. It was her present and apology gift to Kirina for being so busy lately. The obsidian stones were laced together by an elastic string and a raven charm dangled in the middle. The beautiful black birds are what led to their friendship after all and to her, Kirina would always be like a mysterious raven, beautiful and powerful.
She put the bracelet back in her pocket and nodded to herself, stifling up her nerves and jumping off the roof to the next one, making her way towards the castle with the odd waterfalls. Maleficent⊠If you hurt her⊠Anna thought darkly before shaking her head. Iâll save you Kiri.
{â }â Sweat was dripping off her cheeks and to the floor, her forehead resting on her clenched fists against the ground. Her wrists had cuffs around them, attach to a long chain latched to the center of the floor. Body shaking, trembling, chest tight and heavy, screams kept escaping her lips even as she clenched her jaw and ground her teeth. She pressed her palms to the floor, breathing in deep before letting out another scream. Darkness kept appearing in her chest, like sheâd been stabbed with it, infected with it and letting it spill out of her heart and over her chest, spreading over her. She gasped for air, getting up and pulling at the chains, grunting as the darkness made her feel like she was being strangled. Tendrils of the black aura whipped out and cut her, trying to make her weak. âIf you let the darkness win, there will have been no point in any of this, my dearâŠ. You are not to leave this chamber until you have conquered your darkness, orâŠuntil it has conquered you.â Maleficentâs voice played back in her mind, and anger surged through her, making her let out another scream, this time one out of rage instead of pain.
âI wonât let the darkness win. I will win. I CAN do this,â she gritted her teeth, wrapping her hands around the chains as she tried one more time, with the last of her strength, to push the darkness back, to make it do her bidding. The wind was knocked out of her and she fell to her knees, again. Shaking her head, gripped the chains until they began leaving marks on the back of her hands and her palms. âDidnât you HEAR ME!? I CAN DO THIS,â she shouted, eyes closed as she focused all of the energy she had left on gripping the darkness and pushing it back.Â
She was mentally exhausted, but she didnât care. She wasnât going to lose. She was going to bring her aunt back. She was going to have someone there again, she wasnât going to be alone. She couldnât be alone. No. Kirina kept the image of her Auntâs smile in her mind, using her will to bring her back as her power.Â
The darkness slowly, finally receded. It wasnât gone, Kirina knew, it was still there, but it now waited for her call. She could feel it coursing through her, as if it had united with her veins. Strength slowly increasing, she stood, raising her hand to call darkness forth. She laughed gleefully when it did so, and waited for her command. Wanting desperately to be released from her chains, she immediately shot at the latches on the floor. The cuffs around her wrists broke under the darknessâ pressure and she grinned. Glancing down at the absence of the cuffs, she suddenly realized that her clothes were very different. Where her gray hoodie once was, there was a dark corset dress with an angle trenchcoat over it, the angle of it allotted for huge open slits on the top and bottom. She grinned, the new look making her feel all the more bad-ass. She wondered, fleetingly, if all darkness users got some sort of âdarknessâ outfit. Putting her hands together, she tried to build a big ball of darkness, and a small black and purple orb started growing between her palms. Electricity seemed to be surrounding it, and Kirina took a deep breath before focusing on the door, angling herself sideways before reaching back for momentum, then throwing the darkness forward, causing a huge explosion. Darkness immediately shrouded her, guarding her from any rubble. It was as if her and the darkness had become one. When the smoke cleared away, a gaping hole was left in the wall where the door once stood. She laughed excitedly, feeling overjoyed at how powerful she was now.Â
Annalise made it to the fallen fairyâs castle. Her finger tips trembling as she felt an unstable darkness ebb and fluctuate coming from somewhere in the castle. â what is thisâŠ?â she wondered as she opened the door. There she stood in the center, Maleficent. âWhere is Kirina?â annalise asked, her voice stronger and steadier than she felt. The witch laughed and mocked her. Saying that her friend was already giving into darkness and would soon be consumed. âLies!! Kirins would never give herself to the darkness!! She knows nothing good can come from it!!â Annalise shouted, worry and fear creeping into her heart. âYou know I speak the truth child. You can feel it too canât you? The darkness under this castle? That is your friend. She has a lot of⊠Turmoil. You could say. Her heart was a perfect place for darkness to grow.â Maleficent laughed. âNoâŠâ Anna whispered softly before Kirinaâs scream rang through the castle. âKIRINA!!â anna shouted, panicking. âYou let her go Maleficent!!â the blonde yelled as she summoned her keyblade, ready to attack. Maleficent just laughed as she accepted the challenge. Summoning dark pools of energy and attacking. Anna jumped and dodged. Summoning ice and fire to attack her with when she had the chance.
Her keyblade clashed against Maleficentâs staff as she slashed and cut at the dragon queen. Eventually wearing her out enough that she collapse. Anna stood in front of her, panting. âThe light will Always win. As long as thereâs even a small rayâ she said but Maleficent just laughed as the room shook. âI wouldnât be so sure. Sorry but Iâll have to miss your âhappyâ reunion with your friendâ Maleficentâs evil cackle rang through the room as she vanished into darkness. âKirinaâŠâ anna mumbled. Shivering as the darkness from under the room seemed grow stronger. âPlease⊠Come back to meâŠâ She whispered before heading down the stairs. Only fairly ready to see the truth for herself.
Kirina took a step out of the room sheâd been chained in, stretching her arms up and twirling in the dark aura that surrounded her. It felt so fantastic! Like nothing sheâd ever felt before. She was invincible! Nothing could hurt her, nothing could break her. She laughed, letting the darkness slither across her skin. It gave her a delightful shiver.
Maleficent poured down from the ceiling like black ooze, using darkness to transport herself, as always. Kirina put her hand on her hip, her head titling at her Dark Mentor. She grinned, excited for her to see the new powers sheâd acquired.
The dragon-fairy drummed her fingers on her staff, a smile growing on her lips as she saw the extent to which darkness had taken her. âYouâve done well, child,â her voice echoed, but her eyes narrowed at her, âYou will do well not to let that darkness consume you.â Her expression was serious, and that really irked Kirina.
âConsume me?â Kirina laughed, shaking her head, âThe darkness obeys me, now.â Closing her eyes for a moment, she took a deep breath, and then snapped them open to meet Maleficentâs eyes. She focused with all her might to call the darkness forward, until it was surrounding them completely. Everything was black, they were hardly illuminated, but it only lasted a second. Kirina quickly brought back, feeling like she was tugging at it from her chest, and watched as it crawled back into her.
âSee?â she giggled happily.
The fallen fairy only shook her head, âYou have extraordinary power, girl, but you mustnât let your heart be completely taken. If you do, there will be no âyouâ for the power to be used by, no?â Â She tapped her staff on the floor, signaling the end of that conversation. Kirina just watched her, like a student would to a high esteemed teacher.
âYour friend is here to âsaveâ you. Something about the light always prevailing?â she cackled, âYou should go test your new found power on her.â When she saw Kirinaâs face twitch at the mention of fighting Annalise, Maleficent raised a brow at her. âShe is a mighty powerful keyblade wielder, bringing her over to the darkness would benefit us greatly,â she suggested, before turning away, âHave fun.â The evil fairy disappeared in a poof of dark smoke.
Kirina continued on the path ahead of her, going through the oddly colored hallway before opening a heartless-shaped door. There was, what she assumed to be, the entrance to the castle. She walked straight forward, grabbing the railing before lunging herself over it and over the fountain, landing in the middle of the floor. There, she stopped, trying to sense how close by the only light in the castle was.
Sheâs closing in on me, Kirina thought, slightly nervous. The darkness, however, started to physically hurt her if she let any sort of negative emotion affect her for more than a few seconds, so she immediately brushed that aside. I can take her with me, she convinced herself, sitting by the fountain, waiting for her friend to arrive.

Annalise couldnât help but blush deeply as Kirina laughed at her âKiiiirirrriiiiiiii!â She whined, pouting and gripping her calves. âDonât laugh at meâŠâ she muttered, looking away from her as Kirina cleared her throat and patted her shoulder. âAtleast sheâs in a better mood nowâŠâ she thought, pouting childishly in her mind. Anna sighed and nodded, touching the marks on her neck. âGreat⊠Iâm gonna be teasedâŠâ She pouted, sighing again and covering her face with her hands before twisting and flopping face first into the pillow behind her. âNew student and now Iâm an even bigger target for teasingâŠâ she muttered into the pillow. The flowers on the tree growing nervous vines around them. Can I really do this tomorrow? Well⊠At least fear will be the last thing on my mind⊠She thought, hoping her embarrassment would trump any instinctual fear. â⊠Is there anything else I should know about tomorrow? Or this school in general⊠Iâd rather not have too many more surprisesâŠâ She said softly, turning her head to the side and looking up at Kirina  with her wide, amethyst eyes.
{â }â Kirina wrapped an arm around Annaliseâs shoulders, waving her worries away. âYouâll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine,â she smirked, âIâll be with you, so itâll be fine!â The vampires wouldnât hurt her, and thatâs all that matters. And, even if they tried, they wouldnât get very far. Kaname had a very strict âno-blood suckingâ policy (even if he himself broke that rule now and thenâŠ.). Kirina watched with an arced brow as vines grew around the âinconspicuousâ tree. Pursing her lips, she wondered if she could really ease the witchâs fears at all. A first day seemed like the kind of thing that would make someone nervous until it happened. She sighed, blowing away a strand of hair from her face. âLook, Iâm serious,â she grabbed Annalise by the shoulders, âYouâre going to be fine. Just be yourself tomorrow and donât let anyone mess with you. The vampires wonât attack you without an order, and no one is going to order them to do that unless you try to kill the president,â she laughed at that part, knowing Kaname would see them all as just cheap plastic toys. âBe aware, though,â she added, âIf anyone sneaks up on you, use those vines,â she pointed at the ones around the tree, âand theyâll run away fast.â She tried to think of anything she might be missing. Annalise knew a lot about Kirinaâs vampire abilities, so she didnât really know what else to tell her, other than that each vampire had their own unique powerâŠbut she figured that was better left unsaid. âOH!â she said suddenly, snapping her fingers, âI almost forgot! The Day class students, the kids who live in the other dorms, they gather around our gate every day when weâre headed to class. They see us as celebrities, I guess?â Kirina shrugged, this having been something fairly normal for her.
Anna sighed and nodded, accepting Kirinaâs reassurance. âI just need to get through tomorrow. I can do this.â she told herself before giggling at the thought of the 'normalâ students gawking at Kirina. âDoes that mean you have a fan club Kiri?â she teased. Thinking that if she was one of the Day students she might be part of that club. She can just imagine what the other students thought about Kirina. They probably saw her as the 'cool and spicyâ type and fell more and more in love and adoration every time she gave them the cold shoulder. She sighed mentally. 'I must really be a masochist deep down.â she thought to herself. Thinking that a romantic relationship with Kiri could never happen. And even if it could⊠She could feel the ghost of her ex girl friend holding her back, even if she didnât realize it.
Kirina blushed, chuckling hesitantly. âWellâŠtechnically, yes. But itâs small. Itâs mostly the girls freaking out about the boys,â she giggled, knowing how much that bothered Kaname, and how much of a dork Aidou was about it. She rubbed her cheek, âThough, I guess there are some girls in my âfanclubâ too,â she shrugged, plopping backwards onto the bed from her sitting position. Sprawling out in all directions, she purposefully laid on top of her roommate. âYouâll be okay, I know youâre worried about it, but itâll be fine,â she smiled, her light blue eyes finding patterns in the ceiling tiles, âIâm pretty sure everyone is gonna like you. Just, yâknow, be prepared to face people who donât like me.â She shrugged, rolling over so she could see her now not smushed face, âIâm not very well-liked, anywhere. Something about me beingâŠtoo confrontational.â Kirina made a face saying she knew they were completely right.

Tendrils of the black aura whipped out and cut her, trying to make her weak. âIf you let the darkness win, there will have been no point in any of this, my dear.... You are not to leave this chamber until you have conquered your darkness, or...until it has conquered you.â Maleficentâs voice played back in her mind, and anger surged through her, making her let out another scream, this time one out of rage instead of pain.
âI wonât let the darkness win.
