Everyone has gone through moments of shame for not just kinks, but any sort of sexuality or deviance. Sometimes we ask ourselves why we are so different or if it’s “weird”. One thing I’ve learned is that everyone has their own “thing” and what’s weird to one is completely normal and erotic to another. We should learn to pass less judgment onto others, and especially ourselves. Be happy with who you are and embrace your uniqueness. There are plenty of people out there into the same thing…you just have to find them, and with the internet, it’s easier than most may think.
Acceptance of one’s self takes time, and understanding that inner desires will never go away. They can only be repressed. Sometimes people get in relationships with others and hide their kinks from them out of fear of being laughed at or thought to be “weird”…when in actually, in a relationship, that other person should not only accept you for who you are and the things you like, but also experiment with these things with you. When kinks are hidden instead of talked about in a relationship it usually always ends with the kinkster cheating and seeking fulfillment of their kink through means outside of the relationship.
Indulging in your kink and experimenting with it with others is the best way to accept and overcome any shame you may have. Feet especially. Foot fetish is such a common kink, as a matter of fact is the most common fetish in the world.
