Though she was up to her ears with work on Christmas, she was thankful to have time to herself at the end of the year. With it being New Years Eve, she slid to the side of her favorite patron, a pair of slender pale arms wrapping around him. “Happy New Years, Shinji-kun.~” She purred softly. “Oh, and I got you a little something. It isn’t much but I hope you like it.” Tae pulled out a small box from inside her coat and handed it to him. Inside the plain box was a dog tag that had their names engraved on the front and hearts intertwining etched with the words ‘My love for you is set in stone and beyond.’ It was cheesy, but romantic. . .or at least, that was the vibe she was going for anyway.

Tae chuckled out of amusement to his panic. “Oh, you worry too much. That child doesn’t think we are an item. I did mention to her father that you were my assistant and it’s perfectly fine for us to have a healthy business relationship.

So just relax.”

Mansion of Glass Kidnapping -- Aftermath

Tae was just about to open her clinic when she got a text from Akira. Considering he had been under stress lately, she was surprised to hear from him so early. But as she read the message, her brows narrowed a little.

[My clinic is open. Just come right in.]

[Already on our way]

Joker replied, informing her of the general situation. Haru being taken, that he had just gotten her back in the country, but it had taken three days in which time she hadn't had her medication. She took a dose of her medicine after Joker rescued her, but they both agreed that Takemi should take a look at her. He also noted that she was extremely shaken up by the experience and didn't want him to leave her side due to the trauma.

With that done, and the message sent Joker spent the car ride with his arm around Haru, continuing to do all he could to ensure her comfort and assuring her that everything was going to be alright. When they finally arrived, Joker stepped out of the car and paused reaching out his hands for her. "Do you feel well enough to walk on your own? I don't mind carrying you."

"Um..I don't know.." Haru took his hand and slowly started to walk out, only to have her knees buckle under her as she took a few steps. Haru quickly reached out for Joker, hoping to fall into his arms. "Damn it. I hate to ask but can you carry me please?"

Joker was right there to catch her the instant her knees buckled, steadying her and allowing her to put all her weight on him. "It's alright, I gotcha." As before her moved his other arm behind her knees and lifted her into his arms. From the warmth of his smile, he didn't mind at all, allowing her to rest her head against his shoulder as he brought her into the clinic. "Morning Doc," Joker greeted her. "Hope we didn't catch you too early."

Tae shook her head. "Not at all. You caught me as I was just opening up. Please place her on the bed and I'll get started."

"Can do." Joker agreed, heading into the back with her and sitting her down as directed. He sat nearby, keeping his hand in hers and, trying to balance not letting her go with not being in the way of Tae's examination.

Tae already had Haru's file open on her computer and was preparing an IV for her. She knew that Haru wasn't a big fan of the needles but this was something that was going to clean her system and regulate her blood. From what she was told via text, it sounded like the poor girl went through hell. Before she did that though, she noted Haru's clothes and the various cut marks on her body. She would have to remove the soiled clothes, treat the wounds, give her clean clothes then continue from there.

First thing was first, "Haru, this may be an odd request but I need you to dispose of your clothes. I'll trust my little guinea pig to be a gentleman and act as my assistant for this morning."

A faint flush formed over Haru's cheeks as she looked to Joker, "Can you help me, please?"

"No problem. "Joker nodded, remaining calm. Her nudity was hardly anything new to him at this point in their relationship but he still braced himself to see the extent of what had been done to her. He moved at her pace, helping Haru as she needed to get her out of those clothes, setting them nearby.

Carefully, Haru removed the jacket that Rosetta allowed her to borrow and her ruined shirt, wincing when she had to move her arms back. The blood stained white lace bra followed after, revealing multiple knife marks from her neck down to her navel and several bruise marks on her shoulders. When she had to remove her skirt, she braced the bed as she fumbled with the side zipper, allowing the ruined fabric to pool at her ankles.

Following it was her undergarments, which were also stained in blood. She had several cut marks along her inner thighs, down and down both hips.

Tae watched them carefully, "Dispose of everything in the red bin except for the panties. I know you don't want to hear this but I may need to use that for DNA traces later. Just put them to the side."

Haru, feeling exposed, slowly went back on the bed as she self consciously wrapped her arms around her chest as Tae went to a drawer to fetch some medical supplies to tend to Haru's wounds.

And there it was again, that stirring darkness.Akira had actually thought it gone this time, after spending those hours tending to and soothing Haru. Every injury revealed was fuel for it, every cut and bruise an unforgivable outrage. He could hear Arsene in his ear, his voice a mocking hiss within his mind.

Look at what Rivera did, the pain he inflicted on her. For all he knew this may yet be only the tip of the iceberg.

He disposed of the clothes as instructed wordlessly, the smile vanishing from his face. Still, he did his best not to allow his shift in demeanor to upset Haru further. His hand was held open for her as he returned to her side, free for her to grasp and squeeze for comfort as she pleased

And still you let him *live.*

Tae started with Haru's legs, making sure that the cuts weren't too deep, "Well, good news. You don't need stitches. Just try to take it easy for a few weeks. I know that might drive you crazy but with the extent of these injuries, it isn't wise to force yourself into too much activity."

"Okay..." Haru muttered softly as the doctor carefully disinfected each wound and placed bandages around her.

When she made her way up to Haru's upper torso, she was extremely careful. Taping Haru's arms, she slowly opened her arms so Tae could finish her job. Haru felt like a mummy for how much she was being bandaged. Once Tae finished, she went to the back and got six vials, accompanied by a butterfly needle.

"Haru, look at him. I'm going to need to take a few samples of your blood to see if I need to give you anything to reverse the effects of anything they may have given you."

Biting her bottom lip, she reached her left hand out for Joker, wincing under her breath after the rubbing alcohol was applied to her right arm and Tae started to take blood.

"I-I really don't like needles.." she muttered under her breath as she gave Joker's hand a tight squeeze.

Joker's other hand covered hers, allowing her to squeeze as tightly as she pleased. He was fairly sure that Amrita Drop had removed the toxins as a whole, but it was better to be safe and have Takemi double check rather than taking the risk that something lingered.

"It's okay." He tried to assure her, his voice quiet and calm, but the darkness in him robbing it of much of it's usual warmth. His expression had recovered somewhat from the return of the darkness. Enough to force a smile that he hoped was reassuring, as he tried to keep her mind off the needle.

"You know what's going to be great after this? Climbing back in our own bed and finally getting to just *relax*. It'll be great, won't it? You, me, some warm covers and a nap that is long, *long* overdue."

Joker gave her hand a little squeeze in return. "We're in the home stretch now, aren't we? I can already hear that bed calling our names."

Haru gave him a slow nod of her head. Laying in bed right now, beside her beloved Joker, sounds like the best idea ever right now.

"I..I just want to go home.." she muttered under her breath, shutting her glossy eyes, fighting back another wave of tears.

Tae had just finished getting the blood she needed, and patched up her arm. She could tell by how thin the blood was that there were minor chemicals that were not normal in blood of a healthy woman in her early 20's.

Poor kid..

She headed towards the back and fetched a hospital scrub  that she had in storage just in case, then handed it to Joker. "Here, help her get this on while I set up an IV for her."

"Soon, my love, soon." Joker whispered, taking the scrubs and helping her with them as he was instructed. "Keep picturing it your mind for me. It'll be just wonderful, won't it? We'll curl up together, safe and warm at last, right where we belong. The pain will fade and all will be right with the world again."

Sniffling, Haru nods, wincing as he helped her place the scrub on. When she heard Tae say something about an IV, she inwardly cringed. She knew that meant she would have to be there for a half hour -- at the least.

It took Tae a moment to hook Haru up to it, poking a needle through a vein on her right wrist, before adjusting the bed so Haru could lay down with her head elevated. Tae then took out a white blanket she had stored under the bed, carefully draping it over Haru's legs.

"There we go. Once the bag here is empty, I will do a double check on you before discharging you home. For now, just hang tight. I'll get to work on those blood samples."

Tae took a seat at her desk, pausing for a moment as she looked to Joker, "Are you planning on staying here while she is hooked up or will you be taking off while she is?"

"No, I'm not going anywhere." Joker replied, both to Tae and to Haru as he continued to hold her hand. He would keep his word no matter what. Until Haru specifically told him to leave, he would remain at her side. "I'm right where I need to be."

A small smile etched over Tae's lips. "Good. I'll need you to keep an eye on her while I head to the back to check her blood. Shouldn't take me more than fifteen minutes. I just didn't want to leave her unattended."

"You can count on me, Doc." Joker replied with a nod, continuing to hold Haru's hand. "I'll give a shout if we need anything."

"Wonderful." Tae turned to the computer, making a few notes on Haru's file before carefully taking the vials she had placed to the side with her to the back.

Once Tae left Haru found herself staring at her arms, frowning a bit. Her eyes were still glossy, but were slowly getting better. However, Haru was on the verge of tears once more as the chemical imbalance made her think irrationally.

"So..many bandages..I know this might be a dumb question but.." Haru paused for a moment, swallowing a dry breath as she turned to face Joker, "..do you still think I look pretty?"

Joker blinked, surprised by the question and couldn't quite stop himself from chuckling at the absurdity of it. "Do I still think you're pretty..."

He echoed her, "Oh Haru..." He leaned over her, giving her a deep kiss, holding it for a moment before breaking and smiling warmly down at her. No matter how deep that darkness went into his soul, it would never have the power to stop him from expressing his devotion to her when she needed to hear it. "You're *beautiful*, Haru, inside and out. I've always said so, and there's nothing that anyone could do to change my mind about that fact."

Both hearing those words and feeling that heart stopping kiss upon her lips felt like a weight was lifted off of her chest. Still, she couldn't help but feel concerned at the way he looked earlier. She may not be completely with it but she knew a look of a man out for blood when she saw it.

"Okay..um..Are you okay? I didn't do anything to upset you, did I?"

"No, no. You're not to blame, I promise." Joker assured her, bringing up the hand that wasn't holding hers to run his fingers through her hair. "Just some... lingering anger at seeing what he did to you. You know how I can get when you're hurt." He was trying to play it off, but that darkness that had flashed across his face was wholly different from how he'd looked when he'd beaten that maid or gunned down those men who had killed her mother. Something had changed.

And yet she knew him well enough to know that he wasn't intentionally trying to keep anything from her. He genuinely believed that this lingering darkness inside him was just simple anger, a deep personal hatred of the man who had inflicted this harm on the both of them. "Really, it's nothing to worry about..."

"If you say so.." she muttered softly, "I just don't want you to direct your anger towards anyone undeserving of it. Though.."

She shifted her attention to the blanket that covered her, fingers carefully lacing together, "..If my memory is right..i-it wasn't just /him/ who did stuff to me. The past few days have been a blur but..I-I am certain that...at least...three..or so others..were in that room with me..at some point."

She bit her bottom lip, "I-I am actually a bit nervous about the blood tests.."

When she looked down and began speaking about the boat, Joker had looked away as well. And though she couldn't see much of his face, the way his hand twitched against hers betrayed how hard he was working to remain calm for her.

He was having even less luck with his face. Had Tae happened to walk into the room at that exact moment, she'd have been greeted with a face of such fury and malice, such endless cruelty and black *HATE* that it scarcely seemed possibly that it belonged to her personal guinea pig. He'd known the moment she mentioned that it wasn't just him that he'd have to look away, because he did not wish to frighten her or make her believe that she might ever give him cause to direct that expression at her.

"Were they." The dramatic shift in his voice was startling. So soft and warm before, it was now cold, forcibly made dead so as to try and not betray the murderous wrath etched on his face. Again Arsene mocked him, that dark hiss echoing in his ear.

He was going to give Diago a *chance*. He was going to try and show him *mercy.* It was only because the fool threw his chance away that Joker had made him pay for what he'd done. And that was just Diago. Had Izanagi not been swift and skilled enough to prevent their escape, at least two of the others involved in her abuse who have gotten away clean, able to live and laugh at how close they'd gotten to being made to pay for what they'd done.

Why had he even entertained the thought that they were worth mercy?

His silver eyes smoldered at Arsene's challenge, but after a deep breath of calm he forced himself to steady his voice enough to try to reassure her.

"They're dead now. Save Rivera himself, no one who was on that boat lived to see today. They will *never* hurt you, or anyone else ever again, I promise you. And once Rivera's palace is dealt with by the others, he'll be suffering and working endlessly to try and atone for what he's done."

The thought of Rivera repenting, even as he was twisted and broken forever by the punishments that Ryuji and Rosetta had inflicted on him was enough to sate the darkness, at least for the moment. When he turned back to face Haru again, there wasn't any sort of ill will remaining, just a blankness that was trying very hard to return to some degree of normalcy rather than alarm her.

"I'm sure everything will be fine, Haru. Between Cybele's power and Takemi's brilliance, even if something is wrong in the tests, we'll fix you up in no time."

The long silence from Joker made her concerned. Hearing him speak in that dangerously soft tone made her concerned. She knew he wasn't angry with her but she couldn't help but feel a hint of guilt in the pit of her stomach as he spoke.

Her lips twisted a bit. Learning that those that abused, used and had a hand in her kidnapping  were killed made her feel unsettled. She could only guess that they managed to push her beloved on the edge of no mercy. This -this was far beyond anything that she had to hide from when she went to the Metaverse. At least there, she had no way of having anything trace back to her after Shadows have their way with their victims.

"I hope so.."

Haru just had to pray that Joker was right and if there was anything wrong with her, she would be able to get back on her feet in no time.

She leaned her head towards him, hoping he would stay close enough for her to rest her head against him. "Thank you..for taking care of them. I know killing should really be a last resort to anything but..I don't think anyone who treats people as objects should be given mercy. I wish I could have joined in to make them suffer too.."

'And it seems she agrees.' Arsene mused, chuckling darkly in Joker's ear. He tried to ignore it, closing his eyes and indeed resting his head against hers. He didn't know what to believe anymore. "I know..." He said quietly, as much to Arsene at to Haru. "And I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you from them Haru..."

There was a small shake to his voice as he apologized, no small amount of guilt crossing his suddenly all too tired looking face. "I'm sorry, but it's over now. They're dead and we're home safe. Moments away from being right where we should have been before any of this insanity entered our lives." At last opening his eyes again and found the strength to somehow bring a weak smile to his face. "You're going to be okay now, I promise."

Milady hummed softly into her ear, muttering on how she felt like she was living a deja vu moment here. She too, was saved once by a handsome devil who risked his life to protect her. Only difference between then and now is he died by a gunshot wound.

The thought of thanking both Joker and Arsene crossed her mind. A faint blush crept over her round cheeks, turning to face him again.

"Aki-kun, do you still have my mask in your pocket?"

"Of course." Joker said, looking a bit confused but fishing it out and offering it to her.

As he produced her mask, she carefully placed it on. Once she had it on, Haru closed her eyes for a moment as a figure of Milady appeared beside Joker.

Haru leaned up to kiss Joker, in return, Milady lowered her mask, revealing her hidden face as she  reached out a hand for Arsene, producing a handkerchief to him -- a favor for her devilish gentlemen thief as a token of thanks for rescuing her dear princess.

Arsene manifested in the same moment Milady had, his clawed hand dug deep into Joker's shoulder, yet not drawing blood. Joker himself was not entirely sure just what Haru was up to until she leaned up and kissed him. Even then, he chose simply to accept it as her thanks. He returned her kiss early, wrapping her up in his arms and allowing her light to chase away the darkness within him once again.

And as Joker accepted Haru's kiss, Arsene faced Milady, releasing his hold upon Joker to regard his counterpart. The flames and shadows that formed his face twisting into a wide and jagged grin. "You humble me with your generosity, my lady.~" He said, bowing grandly before her and lifting a hand to the outstretched handkerchief, accepting the token. The shadows of his hand lunged up to ensnare the token causing it to vanish and reappear upon his wrist as though it were naturally born there.

"It is the least I can do for one willing to punish those that dare to break apart our counterparts." A slight knowing grin formed over her azure lips as rainbow orbs slowly started to cloud her face once more, "The favor suits you. Perhaps in time you might earn another to have a matching pair." she mused with a teasing tone.

Haru could feel her heart skip several beats as she carefully leaned into him once more. Every second they were together, she could feel that chill that embraced her in loneliness fade away. It was only when Milady disappeared that she slowly pulled away from Joker, her cheeks flushed.

A faint laugh escaped her lips, "S-sorry about that..Milady insisted on thanking you both properly.."

"I shall look forward to being given the opportunity, my dear." Arsene replied, a hissing laughter echoing behind his smooth tone. His was the voice of temptation and vice, the surrender to impulse and the taking of what was desired most. And he always did so enjoy his dances and dalliances with Milady.

Haru's presence alone was enough to soothe Joker, but a kiss this wonderful, filled with such love and devotion warmed his soul and eased his mind such that it seemed certain that the darkness that plagued it would be purged. She was his light and his life now, if he had learned anything good of these past three days it was that he did not just love her, he *needed* her to make his life worth living.

"No need to apologize." Joker chuckled, seeming almost entirely back to his old self. His smile was back, full of his warmth and love for her. His eyes reflected that same kindness and affection that was held in a gave meant only for her.

And yet, out of the corner of her eye, Haru could see Arsene lingering behind Joker, his burning eyes upon the two of them. The razor sharp shadows that formed his teeth formed an impossibly wide and knowing grin. And despite how inhuman his face was, something about that smile gave Haru the very strong impression that Arsene knew *exactly* what it was that had so changed Joker since she was taken. And he was taking no small amount of glee in seeing how this darkness would be handled.

And then as the realization of that knowledge entered her head, like Milady before him, Arsene flickered from sight and was gone. The hissing ghost of his cackle echoing but briefly in Haru's ear.

Watching him flicker between Arsene and his normal self was a relief. However, that was short lived as Tae came out from the back with her hands in her pockets.

"So I have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?"

Joker shared a look with his beloved and felt his own smile fade. "May as well get the bad news out of the way, right?" He asked Haru, leaving the choice in her hands. "Hopefully the good news will make up for it."

Haru nods in agreement as Tae shifted her weight from her left hip to her right, "Due to not eating in the time you were taken, added to the drugs, your blood is extremely thin and your immune system is likely battling, in a weak attempt, to fight off anything that they gave you -- but it's draining you.

Add that to the fact that you haven't had your medication as well..your body is extremely unbalanced. Had you been on a dangerous pattern like this another day, your body would have rejected anything you consumed and seen it again not ten minutes later. It will be difficult for your system to accept anything for a while. I would suggest just starting small, like having crackers and water - then build up from there. Soups are also a great way to do that too.

I'm actually surprised you're not sick, due to how much stress you've been under lately."

Haru lets out a sigh of relief. "That isn't too bad, What's the good news?"

Tae gave her a small smile, "You're clean..well mostly. The small traces of pixie dust I found in your blood should be completely out in two days. Just make sure you drink lots of water and double your doses for the next two days so your body can repair itself faster."

Haru nods, "Okay..thank you."

Tae couldn't help but smile. "You're welcome.. Looks like you have about ten or so minutes left. I'm going to make myself some coffee then get you some clothes. Do you need anything before I step out for a moment?"

Joker let out a sigh of relief as well. With all that had happened, and the way their luck tended to go, he had expected something *so* much worse. Already his mind was working out how to best apply Tae's instruction. Plenty of rest, stay hydrated, and double doses of her medicine for a while was easy. As was the matter of limiting her to simple foods for a while, crackers, water, soups. He'd let the maids know about and handle that.

After he'd slept off the build up he still had to deal with from this mask, he'd try Amrita Drop on her again. Maybe another dose would further speed along her recovery and purge her system of these ailments. He smiled back at Takemi. "Think we might be good, Doc. Thank you again for everything. Don't know what we'd do with you."

"Not a problem. Consider it as a favor for how often you helped me in the past. I'll be back in a few minutes." She walked past him, patting his arm softly before carefully opening the door and left to slip behind her counter to start up her coffee pot.

God..it was so lively here this morning and she hadn't had a chance to have her morning caffeine.

Back in the room, Haru started to cry tears of joy."I'm..so glad the results weren't all that bad. I guess..there's a plus to not being able to physically have kids..." she said with a soft bitter laugh, brushing away her tears.

"Hey now. There's no need to take it that way, Haru..." Joker said softly, surprised by the bitterness in her laugh after receiving this good news. Turning back to her once more and giving her a hug, trying to pull her mind from that topic. "This is great news, you know! In ten minutes we'll be back in the car heading for home. And in a few days you'll be back to normal."

He kissed her forehead. "Gotta try to think positive for me, my love.~"

"Think positive.." she repeated softly, "...I won't be forced to go to the gym for a few days..?" she tried to smile but it didn't quite make it to her eyes.

"Hey, hey." Joker whispered, continuing to hold her and trying to think of what he could say to improve her suddenly very dark mood. Sniffling, Haru just gave him a nod. Though she should be happy with the news that Tae gave them, she couldn't help but wonder if her condition and this whole ordeal gave her a grim reminder of what she wasn't capable of doing. Yet, despite all that, Joker was willing to risk his life and remain at her side -- managing her wacky mood swings.

It felt difficult to keep a smile but she tried, for his sake at least. "Okay..I am..looking forward to those days..I suppose."

Joker could tell it was a moodswing, but he supposed what had caught him off guard about it was how sudden it was. He supposed it would simply be this way for a few days, and he'd have to do his best to try and keep her happy. "It's going to be okay."

He said at last, again kissing her forward and offering a warm reassuring smile. He didn't know what he could say to help her out of this sudden funk, but he did know that could at least try to be her rock through this storm, until he figured something out.

"Valentine's day.." Haru sniffled a little as she looked down to her bandages, carefully flexing her hands, " ..do you think I will be healed enough by then to wear something pretty for you?"

"I'm sure you will, Haru. You're going to look absolutely stunning that day. In fact," Joker flashed a playful smile. "I might have had a few things planned in advance for us before we head over the hot springs. Valentines if going to be a great deal of fun, trust me.~"

Fun. That's a concept that she couldn't quite remember right now. Still, she gave him a slow nod. "So long as I am with you, I am sure it will be. I just have to be sure that I am careful."

"We'll be careful" Joker replied, continuing to run his fingers through her hair. "I promise."

She leaned her head into his hand, enjoying the feel of how soothing it felt of him calming her down. A moment later Tae comes in with a small pile of clothes in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. Setting her coffee on the desk and the clothes on the chair, she walked over to Haru's IV. Seeing that the bag was empty, she carefully took care of it and the needle in Haru’s hand then patched her up again. Once she moved the used IV the side, Tae did a few minor routine things with Haru -- like checking her blood pressure, and hand - eye coordination.

"Your brain is a little slow. Definitely make sure you get some rest. Here, wear these. They should cover you for the time being." She said as she gave Haru a pair of pink sweatpants and a matching sweater with new garments and socks.

After Haru said thank you, Tae left the room to take care of their paperwork. Once she was gone, Haru carefully opened the blanket and threw her legs over the bed. "Could you help me please?"

"No problem." Joker smiled, kissing her cheek as her helped her get dressed. Rest seemed like a fantastic idea to him, as well. He just needed to push a little further, get her out of here, in to the car, and back home to with him to bed.

She smiled a little at him as she carefully removed the scrub and got dress with Joker's help. Once dressed, she held onto his arm as she took a step forward, only to feel her legs shake.

"Um..Joker?  A little help please?"

Joker was right there with her, and when she asked after testing her ability to walk, he once more lifted her up into her arms. "You only ever need to ask." He smiled, kissing her as he exited the exam room to get them home.

“Hello, doctor...” Leon faintly said with a smile as he entered inside the examination room. He seemed awfully fatigued, his body language showed very apparently.

"Hello Leon.."

She read his body language before tilting her head at him.

"I don't usually see you here this late. Can I help you with something?"

"Do most medicines taste awful so that little kids don't want them and take them when they aren't supposed to? Ibuki remembers tasting a really nice medicine when she was young, but only taking it once, and being really disappointed by that..."

"Only the ones that work smell bitter. The smell of the medication usually is an indication as to how strong it is. Most pharmacist tone down the potency of basic pain medication for children as a way to encourage them to get better.

If you're an adult and are given sweet meds, you're being conned into taking something that doesn't work."

“I’ll be frank with you. The pills you were formerly taking were killing you. Now I was given a small sample of what you were taking and I developed an agent that can counter it but..I’m not sure how it will react with your blood.”

She places a finger over her lips as she gave him a small grin, “I already know what you are. Your secret is with me. There are a few other Persona Users here in Tokyo and I provide them medicine too. With your permission, I would like to draw a little bit of blood to test the agent to make sure it works. Wouldn’t want to give you medicine that’s flawed..Well..not unless you want to be a test subject.”

Eyes flash with anger for a brief moment.  Being called out for what he is immediately sets him on edge, his body goes stiff as hands grip his knees and jaw locks.  She must not know much if she’s so willing to divulge such information.  Not all Persona-users are good, he’s still got the scars from his gunshot wounds to remind him.

“The Phantom Thieves of Heart” His voice drips with bitterness and even a hint of mockery.  “Ridiculous name.  Some of them come into my shop.  It’s honestly surprising they haven’t been caught with how openly they talk about it in public.”

He glances up at her his annoyance apparent.  “If it’s all the same to you I’d rather not talk about it.  They don’t know and I’d prefer to keep it that way.  My experience with Persona was drastically different than theirs.  

As far as the suppressants I was taking, you’re telling me what I already know.  Knew it while I was taking them.  Doctor’s told me nothing could be done about the side-effects.  What makes you say otherwise?”

"I respect your need to keep that part of you a secret. You have my word that anything spoken here is kept between us."

She leaned back in her seat, giving him a proud grin. "Most doctors would see your case and just give up. However, I believe walls like this are a challenge that needs to be conquered. With the few blood samples I was able to get, antibiotic I made not only managed to get rid of microscopic alien cells but restored the blood.

I'm not sure how this will affect your organs though. So you'll have to keep me updated if you feel any changes. That is..if you accept my help."

A turn down a street here, a turn there.  He’s starting to have doubts about having a check-up at this clinic, why does it seem so far off the beaten path?  Weren’t doctor’s offices supposed to be easily accessible?  All doubt and questions can be easily explained by more rational thought; a simple fact that he’s all too aware of as a business owner: Rent is expensive.

He stops in front of what can only be the place, confirming the address on his phone screen before stepping inside and approaching the counter.

“Uh, hello.  I’m here for my appointment.  Should be under Shinjiro Aragaki”

“No, nothing like that” he says with a shake of his head “Been a little tired lately but that’s probably because I’ve been working late and waking up early.  Mostly just here for a check up since it’s been-” he pauses for a second.  Shit, when was the last time he’d even had a general health check-up?

“-Well, you have the paperwork.  Its definitely been more than a few years though” he admits, shifting a bit in his seat.  Hospital, Doctor’s Office, it doesn’t matter.  They both remind him of darker times. “I guess I should come a little bit more often than that huh?”

It wasn’t very often that Tae received a new patient but when she did– it was usually because hospitals in the area couldn’t truly pin point what was wrong with them or they was given an incorrect diagnoses. So she had received paperwork from a hospital out of town for one of their patients.

She had been looking over his blood work charts and various tests the conducted on him in the past five years. Something didn’t seem to add up. So when she heard a light bell introduce her new patron and hear the gentleman introduce himself, she closed the file she had in hand.

“I’ve been expecting you. Please take a seat in my exam room and take your jacket off. I’ll be with you in just a moment.”

The Hierophant gives a small nod in acknowledgement.

“Sure.”

After entering the exam room and removing his coat, Shinji takes a seat on the cot.  Fingers drum against his knee as he scans the room waiting for the Doctor who is also, apparently, the receptionist.  He’s always hated hospitals, the fluorescent lights, white tiles floors and the pungent smell of disinfectants.  He can’t imagine a worse place to be confined.  This place is no exception, just smaller and a bit more cluttered.

‘It’s just a check up.’ he thinks, a shiver running up his spine.  Though Mitsuru and her scientists and doctors did everything they could they couldn’t reverse the damage done by the suppressants.  She hasn’t given up hope yet to find a cure but its been years.  At this point its just something he’s grown to live with.

After dismissing him to the exam room, she gathered his papers and her keys. She never went anywhere without them. It wasn't long before she entered the room with him, closing the door for privacy.

Tae sets his records on her desk and logs into her computer before pulling out a new record sheet for his visit. She turns to him with a small smile.

"Before we start with anything, how are you feeling? Feeling any fatigue or shortness of breath?"

She just started with standard questions to see where she needed to start her tests.

Her hands went from his shoulders, slowly down to his chest, to his waist as she paused by his pelvic area. “So far,doing well. How do you feel when I do this?”

She wraps her fingers along his shaft in a slow motion, eager to hear those lovely moans of his.
