There are people using anonymous asks to send lewd communal hate, rape threats, sexual harassment, and extremely disturbing messages without any real consequence. Blocking only helps to an extent because these people continue hiding behind anonymity and repeatedly targeting users.
There genuinely needs to be a stricter system in place for anonymous abuse. If multiple people are reporting the same anonymous sender for threats, hate speech, harassment, or violent behavior, there should be actual action taken after review. Suspension, removal of anon privileges, account restrictions, something that protects users instead of allowing abusers to keep operating freely.
Right now the anon feature is giving dangerous people too much freedom to traumatize others without accountability. Rape threats and communal hate should never be brushed off as just trolling or internet drama.
People come to Tumblr for community, creativity, and expression, not to open their inbox to violent abuse.
