Genesis and Government Plans

Efforts to set up medical colleges across Bangladesh date back to 1978–79 when the government considered institutions in Bogra, Comilla, Dinajpur, Faridpur, Kushtia, Khulna, Noakhali, and Pabna. Although initial plans fell through, renewed commitment in 2011 upgraded the vision into reality. In that wave, medical colleges were proposed at Kushtia, Satkhira, Gopalganj, and Kishoreganj, each starting with 52 student seats
