🌟 Starfucker - (E | 3.5k/?) mack is a soccer player selected number one overall to the san jose earthquakes, sent to spectate a sharks game during preseason in the spirit of #BayAreaUnite,
I post about it under this tag, updates every weekend

💧 once more to see you - (14k/?) dual-pov future fic of Will and Mack's breakup and reunion five years later (with @frogery)
COMPLETED:
🎇 object permanence - (E | 9k) on the 4th of July, Will grows tired of ruminating on the unspoken things they do with mack. so he resorts to a call... (with @ursinus27)
🚠 gotta move on - (M | 30k | Major Character Death Warning!) TW for suicide attempt (it's Aiden's) not gonna say much more i wrote this in a haze and kinda delusional, (not really willmack but will is a source of comfort and they're established)
🍦 the thing about shame - (M | 54k) I still cannot write a non-autistic macklin celebrini. we follow his life as he falls into deep mental health issues which are definitely not made better by will having a gf. massive TW for depictions of eating disorders. Hopeful ending though! (I know you are not supposed to have favourites but this is my CHILD, also heavily edited by @frogery)
older stuff from when i was starting out, different style:
🪟 Two best friends in hotel suite - (T | 88k). getting together fic, so canon-compliant it’s time-stamped, slow burn (but more like will has religious guilt and is reluctant y'know)
⛪️ jesus if you're listening - (M | 77k). Will pov on two best friends in a hotel suite with extra religious guilt and internalized homophobia
🏟️ beret-gate - (T | 5.5k) just a fluffy one-shot about marmon, except i know nothing about marmon darty-s.
Sharks sign forward Macklin Celebrini to a five-year contract extension
San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Mike Grier announced today that the club has signed forward Macklin Celebrini to a five-year contract extension worth $18.8 million AAV.
“In just two seasons as a teenager in the National Hockey League and on the International stage, Macklin has established himself as one of the premier players in the world,” said Grier. “We are extremely excited to have him secured and committed as the centerpiece of a core of talented players in San Jose.
“As we continue our goal of building a team capable of annually competing for the Stanley Cup, we want to thank Macklin and his representatives for a respectful negotiation process, and acknowledge the flexibility they have provided to the team in how we allocate future dollars towards the team being constructed around Macklin.
“I also want to thank Hasso Plattner for his continued commitment and steadfast dedication to providing the financial resources to put the best team possible on the ice for our passionate fans, who deserve a winner in San Jose.”
“I couldn’t be happier to sign an extension today,” Celebrini said. “The faith and support that Mr. Plattner, Mike Grier and the entire staff have shown me throughout the past two seasons is proof that we are building something special here. My teammates and I are ready to take another step toward the ultimate goal of bringing a Stanley Cup to this city and its incredible fans. I can’t wait to get going.”
“From our very first conversation, it was clear that Mike and Mr. Plattner were fully committed to Macklin’s future in San Jose,” said Pat Brisson, Co-Head of Hockey at CAA Sports, Celebrini’s agency. “Macklin is not only an exceptional player, but also an outstanding person, and we’re proud to support him as he continues his journey with the Sharks.”
Celebrini, 20, finished fourth in the NHL with 115 points, tied for fourth with 45 goals and was seventh with 70 assists in the regular season, helping San Jose claim the second-biggest season-over-season improvement in both wins (+19) and standings points (+34) in team history, the league’s 10th-biggest year-over-year improvement in points and tied for eighth-biggest leap in year-over-year wins in the past 30 years (not counting the shortened 2012-13 to full 2013-14 seasons).
The second-year centerman, who ranked third in the NHL in even-strength goals (37) and tied for third in even-strength points (82), set the Sharks franchise scoring record with his final point of the campaign, a goal that capped a three-point effort in the final game of the regular season. He completed the campaign factoring into 46.2-percent of all Sharks goals, the second-best such mark in the league this season and best ever by an NHL teenager or any San Jose skater.
The Sharks went 26-6-2 on the season when Celebrini scored a goal, were 37-18-5 when he registered at least one point and boasted a record of 26-3-2 in his multi-point efforts. His 82 even-strength points and 37 even-strength goals were the most ever in a single campaign by a Shark, his 18 three-point efforts tied Thornton for most by a skater in any of the team’s 35 seasons and his 31 multi-point contests tied for the second-most games with two or more points in a season in Sharks history. Celebrini finished 56 points ahead of the team’s next-closest scorer, the widest gap for any NHL team’s top scorer to its second-ranked since 1990-91.
Of the team’s 37 wins in regulation or overtime (excluding shootouts), Macklin was credited with the game-winning goal or assisted on the winning goal 19 times (51.4%), and in the team’s 12 wins that went into extra time (OT or shootout), he was a factor in eight of those wins.
By the end of the season, he led the Sharks in nearly every offensive statistical category: goals, assists, points, plus/minus (plus-8), points-per-game (1.40), even-strength goals and points, power-play goals (eight), power-play points (33), overtime goals (2), game-winning goals, and shots (287).
His accomplishments during the 2025-26 campaign were historic among NHL teens, with Celebrini joining Gretzky (1979-80) as the only players under 20 years old to claim a 40-plus goal, 70-plus assist season. His point total was the third-best among teens in a single season in league history, trailing only Crosby (120 in 2005-06) and Gretzky (137 in 1979-80), and he joined the duo as the only three teens in league history to finish in the top five of a season’s scoring rankings. He now ranks fourth in career assists (108) ever by an NHL skater before turning 20, fifth in scoring (178 points) and seventh in career goals (70) in the age group. His 13-game point streak from December 11 through January 10 (nine goals, 18 assists) was the second-longest in Sharks history and the second-longest ever by a teenager in the NHL.
The centerman was named NHL Third Star of December after finishing fourth in the league with 25 points, third at 1.79 points-per-game played. He was the league’s First Star of the Week on Oct. 27 after posting 10 points (five goals, five assists) over four games in the preceding week, highlighted by a hat trick in a five-point effort at the New York Rangers on Oct. 23, the team’s first win of the season, and was selected as the league’s Third Star on Nov. 23 after tallying seven points (four goals, three assists) over four games, including two game-winning goals.
This past year, Celebrini also represented his nation at the highest levels of international play, appearing for Team Canada at both the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics and the World Championship.
At the Olympics, he became the youngest NHL player to be named to Team Canada’s roster, and led the tournament in goals, and finished second behind Connor McDavid. Celebrini’s performance at the tournament was the best showing by a teenager, en-route to a Silver Medal finish.
At the World Championship, Celebrini was named as the Captain for Canada and became the second youngest captain for the Senior Men’s team at major an international tournament. He posted 14 points across 10 games and by the end of the tournament was named the Best Forward and the tournament All-Star Team.
Celebrini was named the IIHF Male Player of the Year for 2025-26, was a Ted Lindsay Memorial Trophy Finalist, and was voted Sharks Player of the Year by Bay Area media for the second consecutive season after earning the same award as well as Sharks Rookie of the Year in 2024-25.
Over the course of his career, Celebrini has registered 178 points (70 goals, 108 assists) in 152 career games with San Jose. He was the first teenager in franchise history to score 30 goals in a season, and was a finalist for the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2024-25, owning the franchise record for most assists and points by a rookie.
The six-foot, 190-pound native of North Vancouver, British Columbia was selected by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft, the team’s first-ever first-overall selection.
soo excited for starfucker i loved the first chapter!!
thank youuuuu
bro i was actually so close to not posting because i convinced myself that no one would like it (this existence is a prison) and i couldn't face that after how close the story grew to my heart but it's fun to see some comments and stuff like this, it means a lot <333
I am so excited to continue this journey for the next couple of weeks (i ac don't know how long because the story just keeps on growing, we're almost at 50k words in my doc rn, and the heavy editing is only making the words multiply (idk maybe they're falling in love under our watchful eye and reproducing (we're not watching them reproducing we're not weird. maybe we are. word-breeders. ew, no)). but anyways i'm being patient and adhering to a consistent schedule cos i feel like it's more fun uploading that way, and I already made a dan munie character intro/fact dump, but i gotta make one for tsakiris and medina who appear in ch3 more extensively first because it makes more sense.
also the first chapter was literally what i wrote first, in like half a day, and obv i kept touching it up and lovely betas helped my highlight where i would need to elaborate, but it (the premise/prologue/background) was really what dragged me into this story so i'm happy to see it's dragging other people in too!
weirdly the detail i thought would throw people off was the Georgetown of it all (I just couldn't make it BU, their men's soccer is really bad. it's DI but nowhere near the top. correct me if i'm wrong though) but glad to see that hasn't alarmed too many people.
this was a ramble and a half, so sorry, but thanks again, bigpinkbubble <3
p.s. if anyone's invested i'll prob drop a snippet from chapter 2 today, and a side-character dump will accompany Ch2 (which is turning into a feminist retelling of Robyn Celebrini's personal history) over the weekend :)

⭐️ Welcome to the world of "Starf*cker" - a Bay Area Sports au⭐️
(you can read the prologue HERE)
This fic has been plaguing my mind for the past few weeks and I’m so excited to finally start posting!
Premise: Mack chose soccer over hockey at 15. Everything is on track: first overall draftee to San Jose, working hard at preseason to secure a contract, getting integrated — the last key is smiling pretty for social media, and going to a Sharks game…
Regarding the arc: it will not just be a getting together story, it will encompass their whole trajectory from meeting to first time (part I), and until a very public relationship (part II). Just so you know. Part I and Part II will each be around 10 chapters, 5k words per chapter on average. It will mostly be Mack's POV (and by that I mean I, the telepathic fly, will be employing my telepathy on Mack) but there will be occasional Will perspectives too!
I'll be posting snippets probably in the middle of every week from the upcoming chapter (Tuesday/Wednesday) as well as rundowns of our star-studded Quakes cast, as they will serve as crucial (and hopefully entertaining) side-kicks for this adventure. #friendship and whatnot.
But I need a bit more time to assemble a full fact sheet, so until then...

🌟 INSPIRATIONS 🌟
(I always like to cite, I'm an academic by trade)
✨Neurotribes: the history of autism, by Steve Siberman
This book was essentially the kickstarter to the fic, inadvertantly (see: author's note for prologue). I thought I knew a lot about autism (I didn't spend exorbitant amounts of money on a psychology degree for nothing) but the way Silberman extracts singular cases from history and the beautiful language he uses really enhanced my understanding. And it taught me some insane vocab. Like the word "florid". And "whetted".
References to facts and familial patterns I learned will be made (first by Josh (OC), then more when we meet my revived version of Anton Celebrini who stayed alive in 2008 for the sake of the story. #rpf)
RIP Steve Silberman. As an openly gay man who was fascinated by autism, you would have loved Starfucker (this is a joke!)
✨The Promised Land - by @alltimecharlo
I have done much glazing of alltimecharlo on this account and I will persist. If you couldn't tell, I am probably the biggest alltimecharlo fan of all time.
The way The Promised Land Relates to Starfucker, is that the entire premise kept echoing in my head while brainstorming. Starfucker would not exist without this predecessor that I've read like three times.
The Summary for Starfucker was almost a mirror of (and simply played in my head like a broken record as):
At the 2023 NHL Draft, Will Smith of Boston College is drafted 4th overall… by the Los Angeles Kings.
as in
At the 2026 MLS Draft, Macklin Celebrini is drafted first overall... by the San Jose Earthquakes.
But I didn't want to plagiarize.
The careful construction of a story that is just-about detached from reality but still includes real people (and a lot of research) is done so brilliantly in the promised land (and more currently in Cast No Shadow!). I highly recommend.
✨also important: anywhere you want me
this is not just an alltimecharlo stand account i promise!
I've read this fic five times (and I don't even typically like age gaps like what), no one in the history of fics has ever combined comforting fluff with smut so perfectly. Whenever I think about what feeling I'm trying to emulate I think of anywhere you want me!
✨ "For Crying Out Loud!" by FINNEAS
Basically, this whole story was inspired by the song "Cleats" (and by Bet On It from HSM2, true story). It's about a girl, but oh well, resonates with me.
I mentioned this when I shared this fic in an early state with @0rdinaryth1ngs (the angel) and they said they really liked the whole album. So I listened to the rest of the songs and fell in the love with the vibes and certain lines ("do you think I'd even leave a mark?" and "I wanna feel like this till i feel alright"). And of course, the opening song: Starfucker.
Therefore this album provided the title of work, the title of every chapter, and inspired so many little actions and dialogue, you can definitely spot easter eggs in there, and I am planning to incorporate more (e.g. "tears in your eyes, brush them aside") as I keep listening to the album over and over, and it keeps inspiring me.
✨ as for other Mack soccer aus: i have deliberately not searched for any while writing because i have chronic and debilitating self-esteem issues and i would only think about how bad my own writing is, if I read something else that's similar! but please feel free to send recs my way, I want to read them once i complete this story!
✨my own experiences as a nominally amateur but spiritually competitive football player (it will always be football I just use soccer for the sake of geographical consistency in the fic!) as a mid fullback. going deep in that area for terminology.
✨my girlfriend who inspires me to write because she tells me I don't need to write for anyone else but myself but i still write for her and she tells me canadian skating lore okay i'll stop

Summary:
Every journey to make it to the top starts with networking and saying yes to things you haven’t thought through.
Old owner John Fisher came up to Mack at a post-MLS draft banquet, and started lecturing about “untapped demographics”, he even dropped the “Bay Area Unite” slogan a couple of times.
The Sharks fans—“ and here John gestured like he was painting a vision on the wall “— they got a nice young core, I think a collaboration would be… mutually beneficial. Can I tell Lindsay to put you down?”
“Sure” Mack agreed without even thinking about it. That’s how he gets accidentally tangled up in this thing.

🌟 thank you so much to @pucksoflife for your advice especially on scene transitions, and to @frogery for listening to me describe this to the point it became a dramatic reading. I'm sorry as well.
🌟 i know it's crazy to drop the aiden-kills-himself fic while aiden is apparently... happy and engaged?! idk, shance lechance's comment is what intrigues me. also contrary to popular belief (my gf's): i did not hurt aiden celebrini, idk why he has a black eye, this is a work of fiction!
behold a little excerpt from RJ's POV:
✩‧₊˚─────⋆⋅☆⋅⋆─────˚₊‧✩
Illuminated by the singular overhead lamp, his now-ashy slight wrinkles crease. He looks older, like, almost thirty if RJ had to guess. Way too old, way too far away. And those freaking wrinkles, they’re not even real, it’s more like those towering rocks on the Vancouver island beaches, like layers of sediment and sandstone, as Robyn explained on that one forced family hike that everyone whined through because it was hot. (That’s what happens to a family of hockey players when they see the sun.) She said you should look at the rocks closely to see the years of accumulation, that’s the word she used, how they formed and emerged. Aiden grazed those rocks with his knuckles like he could communicate with the earth’s core: a messenger on the crust. Now his face imitates them.
Nature becomes part of him, maybe, because Aiden loves the ocean. That love might go deeper than was assumed — it could, RJ’s been finding out all sorts of new things about Aiden and he has a million more questions. But he has to have patience.
“Maybe I need to grow up” it comes to RJ suddenly like a wave, and so it spills out like water. But it retracts like the tide soon after too, it becomes defensive: “I mean, I need to be more mature, right? I can’t be so reliant on you anymore. I can’t message you all the time like Aiden I’m not getting ice time—“ he raises his pitch to mock his own petulance “Aiden, they won’t pass to me, Aiden when are you coming home— I’m so stupid and childish. Maybe I should let you rely on me more.”
But how? Then he remembers what Will said, and he needs to get it out before it’s too late.
“The next time you’re… bad, you can call me, Aiden. And I can tell you to drink water and breathe and stuff. I don’t know if it works, Will says it works sometimes, with Mack, and it worked a bit for me. But maybe it’s just someone telling you that you should do it that works, not the water. I don’t know. We could try.”
before i probably decide to post the prologue over the weekend
Behold: a paragraph from Starfucker Chapter 1...
All in all, offering advice was nice from Nikola Markovic, (the preceding MLS Superdraft first overall).
He probably wouldn’t be able to answer “Do I tell my coach I’m like certified autistic, like I have papers proving it?” or “Hypothetically, can I be gay in the MLS?” but intent is what counts. If Mack did reach out about anything, it would be about staying motivated in a dying franchise, in a sport nobody in America wants to watch.
so much MLS research has gone into this as well san jose earthquakes staff linkedin stalking, i hope you will appreciate my rigid adherence to the quakes canon
