We’re sorry to say that we’ve decided to close down KittenSightings. The store will officially be closed Wednesday, January 31st, while we will stop making new products on Sunday, December 31st. We will be opening a section of our store next week to sell materials, old products, never sold products, and anything else we have around the office that can fit inside a box. More information will be provided in the near future, but we didn’t want to clutter the announcement with all the reasons we came to this decision.  Please be patient and we will talk more about our decision in the coming days. Thank you all for all the support you’ve shown us through the years. We will try to answer some comments on here, but please understand that this was not an easy choice, and we're not exactly jazzed about it. So we might not get to every question we want to. Long story short, there was a mistake on the backend where a few boxes weren't checked correctly when fixing a precious error, resulting in the release being delayed an hour. We apologize for this delay, however it has shown a problem we need to address: Quick communication. I was not aware of the messages on Instagram until 40 minutes after they started posting. I was swept up in work, and too focused on that. And once it happened, I made a split decision to make the release at Noon, instead of delaying it, because people were clearly waiting. In the past 20 minutes, I've already been questioning if that was the right move. But even if I had decided something else, I wasn't sure how to let everyone on waiting know the release time had changed. I'm going to be looking into new ways of quick and mass communication, starting with store alerts to let people know what's going on as fast as possible. After that, I need to look into the best way to contact people. Some people might not check their emails fast enough, some might not be on Instagram, and others may avoid some social media all together while waiting for a release. I'm very sorry about what happened, and I'm going to immediately look into ways to ensure it does not happen again.
