Y'all remember in the original 101 Dalmatians, Pongo is looking for a mate for his ‘pet’, Roger? Pongo is the reason Roger and Anita meet and fall in love, he was being a wingman (wingdog?).
What if Roger and Anita adopt Carlos, this cute and lonely boy, who always has time for fetch and belly rubs, and Pongo is like “at it again! Gotta find my new pet a mate!”
So he wags his tail and gets Carlos to take him to dog parks and around the neighborhood, Pongo finds many suitable young ladies for Carlos to love. They all swoon at his eyes and giggle at him. (Which they should because, in Pongo’s eyes, there is no lad who is as smart and gracious and intelligent as his Carlos!)
But Carlos turns them all down!
Pongo is open minded and tries bringing young gentlemen to Carlos, but they are all rejected too!
So he huffs and puffs because Carlos HAS to find love, just like Roger and Anita did. It’s not all bad though, Carlos has a couple of outcast friends named Mal and Evie (who give the best belly rubs) and he’s so awfully close to his best friend, Jay…
But even Carlos’ friends aren’t concerned with his lack of love! Is Pongo the only one who needs Carlos to find a mate???
And Perdita just sits pretty because she curls up with Carlos at night and he whispers all about how much he likes Jay and his smile and his charm, isn’t he oh so handsome?
That is Carlos’ secret to tell though, so Perdita smiles and watches her husband panic to find Carlos love. She knows these things take time and Perdita is content just to listen as Carlos finds his own way to Jay’s heart.

LET ME TELL YOU WHY THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT, UNDERRATED DISNEY FILMS OF ALL TIME OKAY:
1. It teaches kids that we should never judge others by their appearance or what we’ve seen on the surface.
2. It teaches kids that despite if we’ve been taught to be afraid of or hate something or someone that looks/acts differently than us, we should learn and try to understand them before we judge them.
3. It teaches that two sides that may hate each other don’t always have to stay that way - they can learn and grown from each other’s mistakes.
4. It teaches that hatred is not always the answer; to listen, to step back, and see through someone else’s eyes. It teaches patience, understanding, and wisdom.

Seriously I just love this movie to pieces it is so important to me and I wish more people knew/watched it because wtf it’s AMAZING.

Jay is very jealous with Carlos, not because he doesn’t trust him, but because he doesn’t trust others. He’s never had anyone who cared about his feelings and he knows that Carlos can be too trusting. He’s so fearful of someone taking advantage of that trust, and he doesn’t know how to show that fear except through jealously and possessiveness since those are some of the only emotions he was allowed back on the isle.
When they first got to the school Carlos had never slept in a bed. He slept in a small cupboard all his life on the hard cold floor. His bed in auradon was too soft, too warm. After the second week of waking up to Carlos on the ground between their bed jay moved all of their blankets and pillows on the ground. From there they graduated to sleeping on a mattress on the ground, then pushed their beds together, then, after they came out as a couple, only to Lonnie, Jane, the other VKs and Ben, mal turned their 2 beds into one.
Mal and evie have always been affectionate with each other in a very intimate way. They don’t see it as romantic, they’re friends, soul partners and sisters who lovingly explored their bodies with each other. Ben and Doug don’t really get it, they just kind of call it poligamy and try to be understanding. The VK didn’t grown up with the ideas of monogamy or relationships based on anything but possession, power and lust. All they know is that what they have with each other wasn’t based on that, but instead based on the purest of love. And sometimes they express that love with long kisses and wandering hands.
In short, mal and evies love started before they became sexually curious and therefore they see their love as just love, no lust. However they did explore magic together and are forever spiritually intwinned. They bring each other pleasure to make each other happy and help the other explore and educate themselves. Jay and Carlos, on the other hand, met after they became familiar with the feeling of lust. Lust was part of the bases of their relationship and therefore when they got somewhere that lust and companionship was allowed to be called a loving and happy relationship, they jumped at the idea.
Mal and evie are soulmates. They’re always going to be together in some capacity. Their spirits are meant to be together, forever intertwined, they don’t care if they make love or stay just sisters, they just know they’re meant to be in each other’s lives. Jay and Carlos are lovers on the other hand,true lovers full of youth and desire. They began in romance and will stay together in a romantic capacity .
Also both mal and evie are practicing witches (this is canon), however they often practice together. They’re their own coven, tiny but immensely strong. Carlos sometimes dabbles and joins them for simple rituals and meditation, just because he loves the feeling of closeness it brings them. He’s always been the most emotionally open of the kids so he finds himself having an easier time connecting with the spiritual side of magic. Jay doesn’t dabble just because he fears how vulnerable it would make him. He would have to find and become in tune with his own emotions and he doesn’t really know how to do that. That being said, he and Carlos have started meditating together and jay smiles when he finds little protection amulets and healing pouches stashed around their room.
