HIII WALLIE WORLD HOPE YOU ARE SWELL

The birds might use the organs' iron-rich immune cells as internal compasses on overcast days, when they must rely on Earth’s magnetic field
HELLO!!! I AM DOING GREAT! I hope you are too!! :D
I have just the thing for you!
Scientists are still not quite sure how pigeons have their uncanny ability to find their way back home, even after traveling long distances. There are speculation and hints to different ways how such as sensing the earth's magnetic field through their beaks or cere.
HOWEVER, there recently has been new research that suggests that pigeons may use an internal gps through their LIVER!
Their livers are found to have iron-rich immune cells that help find their way through magnetoreception (ability to sense the earth's magnet field), especially helpful for cloudy days where you can't exactly use the sun's position to tell where you are.
How cool is that? Here's the article if you want to read up on it! :) it's a pretty interesting find that has a lot of open research potentials.
