my incomplete & probably mostly unreasonable wishlist for future animal crossing game(s)

let the animals be sassy again >:0

fish tanks and bug cages should be cuter so i won’t mind letting villagers display them in their house

more opportunities to interact with NPCs besides just talking to them on the job (or catching them at the café)

maybe let them have their own homes that they go to after work hours

probably a big ask that diverges too far from the existing intended game experience but… full 3D, as in 360° camera rotation + not everything has to face “forward” for a more realistic / interesting town layout

improved ability to add paths (built-in path functionality, more pattern slots, patterns with partial transparency, etc.)

more in-depth capacity for town decorations / details

capacity for more structured gardening / farming

just more stuff going on with the town in general? like having a (preferably customizable) layout with options for commercial district, residential district, natural areas, outer reaches of town (wilderness? hinterlands? mountain region?) etc.

minimizes the experience of “this animal moved in and ruined my town layout!”

everyone hates obviously-unreachable game world boundaries; the more explorable areas, the better
