Chapter 3 Daily Life: With both Tsukasa and Akito gone, Toya can't cope. He's shut up in his room most of the time, and whenever anyone sees him he's completely silent, his eyes glassy and near devoid of light. He's on the verge of taking his own life, and it's only Saki and Ena's support that stops him. The three of them become a trio of sorts- keeping each other safe, because it's what Tsukasa and Akito would have wanted. (Also, I feel like, with Mafuyu dead, Kanade's savior complex would kick into mega-gear. (If I'd only been there I may have been able to save her from him etc.))
Saki and Ena knew how Toya felt. Alone. They knew they had to be there for him, and Minori wanted to be there, too, even though she knew she didn’t understand the way Ena and Saki did.
It was startling, seeing Toya without any sort of light in his eyes. She didn’t know him like that, but she could imagine the toll that was taken on him in the recent days.
Minori also wanted to keep an eye on Kanade, though. She was acting sort of strange, often whispering to herself something about saving “her,” though Minori wasn’t sure who she was referring to.
Everyone was even more uneasy, since the killing game was still going on. And since more of them were proven to be able to kill, tensions were higher than Minori ever imagined.
She hated it, but there wasn’t very much she could do on her own. Even if she had her own hope, everyone else had to believe in it- and each other. And she wasn’t sure that was something they could do anymore.
