She turned and led the retreat, weaving through crowds and winding along the turns of sidewalks until reaching the outskirts of the park a few blocks down. “That was kinda fun,” she was still highly amused by the time she jogged to a stop, only slightly out of breath due to her unability to stop laughing.

        Whoa, how did he know? Well, that was more of a summer job than anything. Not like he had anywhere else to go during the summer, but it was always kind of nice to go back to his husband’s roots. It wasn’t so much that he really preferred it himself. More or less because his accented Japanese was more brutal on his poor ego than anything else. “Yeah! I just started working there like a month or so ago. Do you go there a lot?”

          ┋ ♕┋Hatori opened his mouth as if to respond, only to close it a moment later. What was the simplest way to say his connection to the cafe without having to  explain much later? It wasn't like Hatori kept tabs on who all worked there, he just helped out with prep. "It's..... Dad's cafe." Son of the owner. May people would probably wonder why he didnt work there if they knew. It had nothing to do with  the usual 'dont want any handouts' some kids get when their parents own a business or shop.
