Hi and welcome to my art blog! Here I post art that I do about content I enjoy! If you want more general content or random insights into my brainspace, check my main blog: klqrambles (link under cut)
Right now that content is gothic lit (or gothic lit adjacent) with a focus on the Picture of Dorian Gray! But please note: All of my designs for these characters and their stories, while based loosely off the books, are mostly inspired by their respective musicals, specifically the Korean adaptations! I’ve also changed some things further for the fun of it (I may be cringe but I am free lol), so if some things don’t make sense related to characters or plots that is why!
Feel free to send me asks about anything, be it art, design, or story related! I’ll always do my best to answer.
The tags on this post can be used to filter through my art as most (if not all) of it is tagged accordingly.
The whole list of musicals/stories I’m currently inspired by is beneath the cut!
My comms are open btw! (now on vgen!)

How about make a comic about drifter turning ven into a vampire
I don’t have the energy to make a full comic, but apparently I did have the energy to write ~1500 words worth of fic so hopefully this suffices LOL also cameo from Doorman and Mirage mentioned XD
I wrote this and realized it could be a multi-chapter fic but I have a horrible track record with finishing those so do not get ur hopes up 😅
It can also now be read on ao3!

CW: Major Character Injury and Death (Ven, temporary), ritualistic self harm (Drifter needs to hurt himself to turn Ven)

Quinn Rourke gasped, each breath sending a ripple of pain throughout his body.
To say he had been expecting this would’ve been as much truth as it would have been lies. Like the many Venators before him and the many that would come after, he had always expected to fall in the line of duty and his time had been long overdue. He had, however, thought the job he’d been sent on would not be his last. It was meant to be a simple one: investigate a local cult that had popped up and eradicate any dangers to humanity. A fairly routine task. What neither he nor the other Swords of Saint Benedict had known was that this cult had succeeded in summoning a shambling mass of limbs and teeth they called their ‘god’. Quinn had attempted to end its misery, but, between the cultists and the preternatural strength of the creature, he was outmatched.
A stray swipe from a limb he hadn’t accounted for was all it took.
Seeing him go down had been the sign for the group to flee taking their ‘god’ with them. And so here he was, bleeding from the numerous claw marks and broken ribs in his body. A cough racked through his body, bringing up the blood flooding his lungs. ‘Will I die of choking on my own blood or the lack of it first?’ he idly wondered.
The shrill notes of a whistled tune pierced the air, causing Quinn to groan. Of all of the members of his… group (he wasn’t sure what else to call them without the guilt of sin clawing up his throat)… this had been the one he wished to see the least.
“Damn, Father. If you wanted to see me, you could’ve just asked.” Drifter chuckled, appearing from the shadows with his usual grin plastered across his face.
Quinn growled, unable to speak lest the choking process get sped up.
“C’mon now, no need to be so hostile. We’re friends aren’t we?” Drifter crouched down, inspecting Quinn’s wounds, “they really did a number to ya, didn’t they? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to drink your blood after you die. Think of it as a form of courtesy.”
Quinn coughed a laugh, “as if… as if you know the meanin’… of courtesy.”
Drifter smirked, “if you have a sense of humor, you’ll be fine.”
Quinn didn’t acknowledge what he said, the edges of his vision darkening as his breathing grew more and more labored.
Drifter nudged him, “hey.”
The word was faint to his ears as the world became more muted.
“Venator. Rourke!”
Drifter shook him, but he could only let out a faint whine in response.
“Dammit, Quinn.”
Drifter covered his eyes with his hand, causing him to bring trembling hands up to grip Drifter’s jacket. He was scared. Confusion and doubt began to flood his mind. Why was he scared? Every venator knew any mission could be their last. He had accepted that as fact when he became one. But here, at the finish line, he could feel a part of himself struggling. Wanting to fight. To live. A part of himself refused to simply lie down and take it.
Then he felt Drifter bite.
“Drifter, what are you doing,” Quinn whispered, the toxins in the vampire’s saliva slowly causing him to relax. Perhaps this was one small mercy the creature was willing to offer him before his death. Or perhaps the fresh blood of a person who was yet still alive was too alluring for him. Regardless, slowly but surely, Quinn drifted off into nothingness.

Drifter had never had any plans to sire new vampires. All of the blood he drank was merely food, and those who didn’t die in the process usually only survived because they were already some form of immortal. As such, the desire to turn someone had never occurred to him. Until now.
Then again, he hadn’t really been attached to any mortal until recently when the Venator and Djinn bearer had gotten entangled in his games with the Doorman. Getting attached had been a sort of afterthought, one he hadn’t thought of until this very moment as he watched the man so full of hypocrisy he became interesting bleed onto the ground. The thought of not having him around, of losing his jabs and flexible morals filled the Drifter with a sense of dread he hadn’t felt in a long time. A feeling he quickly realized he despised with the absolute core of his being. And Drifter was a man who always did what he desired.
So he bit the priest.
Why he’d covered Quinn’s eyes beforehand he didn’t really know himself. Perhaps he was shielding himself from the accusatory gaze he was sure would be directed his way. Or perhaps he wanted to give the man some form of deniability. Whatever the reason, he drank and drank until he heard Quinn’s heartbeat finally stop. He unlatched his fangs, making sure to lick his lips and catch all the precious blood that had inevitably spilled out. He’d always been a messy eater since even before his turning, but this blood was much more important than any other he’d had before.
Drifter opened Quinn’s slack jaw before tearing a gash on his arm and letting his blackened vampiric blood pour into his mouth. He wasn’t entirely sure this was how turning worked, as he couldn’t really remember his own.
“C’mon Quinn. Doorman and Mirage’ll have my hide if you die here for real,” Drifter muttered.
For a second, nothing happened and Drifter began to feel a new dread of how to explain his bite mark being on the Venator’s body to the others. Then, Quinn’s eyes snapped open and he lunged at Drifter’s arm, newly sharpened fang digging deep into his wrist. Drifter hissed in pain before chuckling at his eagerness.
“Of course you’d be a feisty one, padre.” Drifter rubbed Quinn’s back as he drank mouthful after mouthful of his sire’s blood. After what felt like an eternity, Quinn finally pulled his head away, turning to look at Drifter whilst panting.
“Drifter?” Quinn blinked, “what happened?”
Drifter shook his head, “I’ll explain to ya later. For now, let’s get out of here.”
“Al— Alright,” Quinn nodded, trying to stand up and stumbling, forcing Drifter to catch him before he fell.
“Careful now, priest,” Drifter slung his arm over his shoulders before hoisting him up, “can’t have you hurtin’ yourself even more.”
Quinn grunted in acknowledgment, barely getting his legs under himself.
“Doorman!” Drifter shouted into the sky. He knew that entity could hear him. “Could use a door right about now!”
Just as he finished speaking, a door manifested in front of them, opening to reveal a frowning Doorman.
“What did you do?” Doorman glared at Drifter.
“Later, cher,” Drifter nodded his head at Quinn, “just help me get him inside for now, yeah?”
Doorman looked at Drifter for a moment longer before walking over and draping Quinn’s other arm over his own shoulders. Together, they carried Quinn through the door and into the Baroness, laying him on the bed as carefully as they could manage. Quinn, feeling the safety and comfort of the bed, quickly fell asleep.
Doorman snapped his fingers, “answers. Now.”
Drifter sat in a nearby chair, exhausted. Turning someone took more energy than he’d anticipated. “He was dyin’, cher.”
“And so you turned him? No attempts at basic first aid or even a healing rite?” Doorman scoffed.
Drifter snorted, “I ain’t got any of that on me, ya know that. Besides, even if I had he woulda died anyway.”
“So turning him was your only option?”
“What else was I supposed to do?” Drifter growled, “Leave him to die?”
“Did he even ask to be turned?”
Drifter looked away sheepishly.
“I asked you a question, Drifter. I expect to be answered.”
“What do you care about that anyway?” Drifter crossed his arms, “like you give a damn about meddling in people’s affairs.”
Doorman glanced at Quinn, “I care because it’s Cain, Drifter. Do you expect him to wake up and be grateful about being turned into that which he hates the most?”
Drifter didn’t have anything to say to that, simply staring at Quinn’s chest gently rise and fall with breaths he didn’t know he no longer needed. It had been a selfish and impulsive decision, yes, but everyone knew Drifter was a selfish and impulsive person, right? He hadn’t wanted Quinn to die and now he wouldn’t. Of all people he expected Doorman to understand the sentiment.
Doorman sighed, standing up and straightening his uniform, “this is your responsibility now, Drifter. You are his sire so you must take on the fallout of your terrible decision making skills. You may ask me for help, but whether or not I can will entirely depend on my schedule as I am a very busy man.”
Doorman walked over to the door before looking back at Drifter, “For the sake of our little group, I do hope you are prepared, Drifter.”
Drifter continued to stare at Quinn as he heard the door click shut with a sense of doomed finality.
How did drifter turn ven into a vampire in ven vamp au?
I tend to subscribe to the more old fashioned concepts of how people turn into vampires so drifter drained ven of his blood (not that much was left since he was very hurt) and fed ven his own blood to complete the change
It could be said Drifter was ven’s first meal as a vampire, but I think drinking as part of the turning doesn’t count, so his first meal was actually Doorman after a lot of fighting about whether or not he’d drink at all
How did ven turn into a vampire in your ven vampire au?
Ven became a vampire after trying to take on a different patron or similar level of entity alone and losing badly (a mix of hubris and just trying to do his job). Drifter finds him dying and realizes he’s not ready to have someone he cares about just go and die (this au features venator x drifter x doorman x mirage) so he turns him :)
Ven is Not Happy about this, but is prevented from doing anything about it through a mix of doorman and drifter meddling as well as mirage convincing him that he can find another path
Hello! I don’t know if you are still dabbling in hellsing at all but I absolutely love your role swap au art. I was wondering if you have any headcanons regarding role swap Anderson’s origins or how he’ll view his faith as a vampire?
Hi! Thanks for the ask! I’m ngl I lowkey forgor I got this and my hyperfixation has shifted but uh I’ll see what I can remember
RS!Anderson was supposed to have been a soldier during one of those big wars in Europe and got turned in a bid to win the war. Self-sacrifice ynow? Damning his own soul to help the living. He still believes in God but considers himself something of a fallen angel type.
He lives on in an effort to thwart the evils of the world and tied himself to Maxwell’s lineage in the hopes of keeping himself in check
That’s all I can remember atm but if anything else pops up in my brain I’ll add it XD
BTW! I am participating in artfight, but in a really casual way 😅 I’ll mostly be focusing on revenges of anything I happen to receive and will do stuff based on how busy I am 💙💜
