"D'ya want some?" Gojo asks up at you, his head in your lap as you tap at the screen of your cellphone idly, leaving a heart on a friend's perfectly filtered photo that only makes you feel bitter when you look at it.
"Hm?" you ask, glancing towards him as he peers up at your face. He has a bag of gummy candy resting on his tummy, and you part your lips and stick your tongue out slightly, asking for one of his sweets.
He lets out a little heh at your expression, popping a pink and blue candy--dusted with a sweet-sour crystalline coating--into your waiting mouth.
"I meant the weed," Gojo answers your earlier hum only once you begin to chew the treat he'd just fed you. He sticks his thumb in his mouth, licking it clean of the tangy sugar that clings to it. "D'ya want some?"
"Oh," you reply, eyes flickering to the other side of Gojo and Geto's dorm room, where Choso is seated on the floor, a pillow on his lap and an old DVD case on top of it. He's diligently packing the ground up weed into a rolling paper--little bits of green clinging to the tips of his fingers like the sugar had to Gojo's. "--I don't think so."
You really shouldn't.
"Why?" Satoru asks petulantly. He's not smoking either--isn't allowed to since the last time when he threw up in Geto's backpack and ruined his social anthropology textbook--but he seems indignant at your refusal.
Choso's dark eyes flicker up to you too, as though interested in your reply, but when he sees you looking back at him he busies himself with his rolling once more with a streak of pink curling across his cheeks. He's still a little shy around you.
"Who cares?" Sukuna chimes in from where he's reclining in Gojo's desk chair at the end of the bed, tossing a miniature foam basketball up into the air idly before catching it in one large hand and repeating the motion. "Means more weed for us. Fushiguro said this is good shit when I picked up earlier, too."
"That guy with the scar?" Geto asks, peeking out from under his textbook and Sukuna grunts out some sort of affirmative.
Suguru is sprawled out across his bed directly opposite you now that Nanami left to return to his own dorm--finding the rest of you too distracting to get anything done during what was supposed to be a study session.
You feel something prod against your lips, and look down to see Gojo attempting to feed you another sweet. You let him.
"You didn't answer my question," he singsongs as you bite down on the chewy confection between your teeth.
You push most of the rapidly melting, sticky-sweet candy into your cheek with your tongue to talk around it. "I get really.... annoying when I'm high."
Gojo stares up at you for a moment before pulling himself into a seated position at your side.
"What do you mean?" he asks.
A chuckle from across the room tears your eyes away from Satoru's inquisitive gaze, and towards Sukuna, who has suddenly stopped tossing the basketball and instead has his attention fixed on you.
You glare at him weakly, knowing what he's thinking without him saying it. "Shut up."
It only makes him laugh again, a sharp smirk on his lips.
"What?" Gojo whines, missing the unspoken words you and Sukuna have exchanged.
"Weed doesn't make her annoying," Sukuna drawls, tossing the basketball up again, only this time away from him--you watch as it curves gracefully in the air, swishing through the little net Geto and Gojo have affixed to the back of their door. "She's always annoying."
"Kuna--" you mumble warningly, your cheeks flushing hot, as you squirm nervously atop the rumpled sheets of Satoru's bed.
Everyone has stopped what they're doing now. Suguru's textbook set aside, Choso's fingers stilling with the edge of the nearly finished joint pinched between them.
Sukuna's smirk turns into something even sharper, a smile unfurling slow and wicked across his face.
"Weed doesn't make her annoying--it makes her into a whore."

his angel. thatās what you were; eddieās beautiful, beautiful, angel. you were his world and his whole universe revolved around you.
he revered you in everything you did, whether it be skipping rocks with him down at lovers lake or sitting by his legs, reading a book while he brain stormed new songs. you would often catch him staring and ask him āwhatāre you lookin, at, munson?ā more often than not he would scoff and nudge your face with his knucklesļæ¼, ādonāt worry your pretty little head about what iām doing, sweetheart.ā youād just roll your eyes and continue whatever you were doing.
and when your focus was successfully taken off him, heād wrap his arms around you and give you a tight squeeze, smiling like an idiot. he was a lucky man. the luckiest man in the world.
your hand drew small circles on eddieās bare shoulder, lulled into a half asleep state by his steady breaths and warm chest. this. this was your favourite way to spend your time, no DnD, no schoolwork, no worries. you know if eddie was awake, heād say the same thing.
no matter how much bickering was shared between the two of you, no matter how much teasing or rude names, you both shared a deep love for each other that didnāt necessarily need to be spoken about all the time. because you knew, he knew, and thatās all either of you needed.
and pull your window curtains
eddie stirred above you, his hair brushing against your forehead. a hand ran up and down your back and you looked up, resting your chin against his chest to look him straight in the face.
āwell hello there, gorgeousā he grumbled, his voice was slightly airy from sleep. he smiled a small toothy smile and that made you smile stupidly tight back at him.
āhi, sleeping beauty. have any dreamsā you shuffled up his chest to kiss him but fell short, hitting his jaw instead. he laughed,
oh let jah moon come shining in
āI had one, it was pretty good, something about having an angel being completely all over me. calling me insanely handsome or something..ā he trailed off towards the end. you grinned and sat up above him.
āyeah, what a nice dreamā you emphasised dream with a slap to his chest. you stood up and crossed his room
eddie held a hand to his heart,ļæ¼ feigning hurt. āyou wound me, yāknow that?ā you glanced over your shoulder at him and raised and eyebrow.
āsure, sureā¦ā you mumble absentmindedly as you shuffled through his cassette decks.
āalright, thatās it! iāve had enough of this attitude!ā before you knew what happened, eddie grabbed you from the floor and flung you back onto his bed.
āeddie!! whatāre you doing?!ā you laughed, a full bellied laugh. you felt warm and light in that moment.
into our life again
āi warned you, you can only play with fire so long before you get burned, baby!ā he spoke with such grandeur and theatricality, it was kind of impressive. he fell right on top of you, effectively winding you.
you were a mess of smiles and laughs, it felt amazing. this is what loving eddie munson is like. in itās purest, most concentrated form, this was it.
it was a cold night in hawkins, dew was already starting to form on the grass. kind of making the ass of your jeans wet, but your mind was otherwise preoccupied.
one of eddieās hands was on your cheek and the other holding up your lower back. he was sort of bent over you, probably not terribly comfortable for him but like you, his thoughts were else where. he kissed you gently, parting and then meeting you in the middle again, smiling all the while.
you moved back, effectively separating the two of you. eddie whined like a child, trying to chase you. he was stopped by your hand on his chest and you laughed, āwow, slow down there, misterā
ānoo, no, no, no bring your body heat back, itās fuckinā coldā you slowly lay back onto the grass and he followed suit, lying on his side, facing you. eddie moved a piece of hair that had fallen into your face and grinned. he kept fiddling with you hair until you smacked his hand away. he gasped in faux hurt and held his āinjuredā hand to his chest.
āstop touching my hair, iām getting all ticklyā you snapped, there was no malice behind it, and eddie knew it. he always knows it, he gets you and you get him. that how the two of you rolled. like, really good friends. good friends who kissed, and slept togetherā¦.and only kissed and slept with each other.
even during your banter, he looked at you like you hung the moon and painted the stars. the very ones you both were lying under. like you were godās gift to him. eddie wasnāt particularly religious but he was sure that some metaphysical force aided in the two of you meeting because surely he couldnāt be this lucky.
āouch, sweetheart. i think you broke my hand.ā he held up his hand, dangling it limply in front of your face for effect, ākiss it better? since itās kinda your fault in the first placeā he was smiling again at this point, all of his focus on you. looking up at him, you rolled your eyes and took his hand in yours. you gave the tips of his fingers each a small kiss before kissing his palm.
āgod, i love youā he sighed with a dreamy look on his face. he leaned down close to your face, his nose brushing with yours.
āfeelings mutual, munsonā you replied, bringing your hand to the back of his head and catching his lips in a kiss.
letās just say, neither of you were very cold anymore.
ā”a/n~. a fix it fic if you will. also i didnāt proof read this so possibly riddled w mistakes
you could feel tears coming to your eyes as you heard eddieās name being called from the stage. maybe itās silly that you were getting so worked up about your boyfriendās graduation but after two years of waiting, it didnāt feel real that this was actually happening.
you saw him stand up from his seat on the other side of the stage, a big grin on his face and his waved to the clapping crowd. yes there were as many jeers as there were cheers but did that faze him in the slightest? no. not when he could see his friends and the love of his life in the crowd.
eddie climbed the stairs up to the stage, approaching principal higgins with a shit eating grin on his face. the principal begrudgingly handed his diploma over and shook his hand. eddie gripped the manās hand tight in response before ripping it out of his grip and turned to the crowd, his hands up in the air as he yelled, ā86, baby!! itās finally my year!!ā. the crowd erupted in a series of applause and laughter as eddie bounded down the other side of the stage to join the other graduates.
after the ceremony had finished, you raced out of your seats along with the rest of the āgangā to congratulate eddie. he didnāt see you coming until you yelled, āEDDIE!!ā at the top of your lungs. you charged into him like a bull and brought the two of you down with the momentum. grabbing his face, you smothered him in kisses and praise as he melted beneath you. āiām so proud of you, ed, so so proud of you!ā you whispered to him. you meant every word of what you said. it wasnāt just the case of eddie overcoming the regular old school system, but being thrust into the world of the upside down, a bald girl with superpowers, and strange meat covered men with an affinity for destroying the world , and getting back up (albeit with a few new scars) and continuing on to get his diploma.
ācan you stop squashing him now and let us congratulate him?ā dustin asked, evidently over this over the top pda he was witnessing before him.
ācan it kid. just because your girlfriend is hundred of miles away doesnāt mean you have to shit on any happy relationship you set your little eyes onā eddie joked, although there was no malice behind it at all. he stood up, bringing you with him, and took dustin under him arm.
the juniors of the hellfire club all surrounded eddie with slight sadness, saying the hellfire wonāt be the same without them. being the drama king he was, eddie made a mini speech about passing the torch to the younger generation and to not miss him too much when he was gone, and after making them all feel worse, he gathered them all into a big hug and said that heād make time for them play together outside of school.
āhe isnāt the only one who graduated yāknowā. robin said flatly as she and robin approaches the group. everyone let out small cheers and claps making the two girls smile bashfully. more hugs and congratulations were exchanged before everyone decided to split up before meeting again later in the evening for a celebratory after party; just their group. the wheelers along with will, jonathan, el, left with their parents. dustin made a move to go with you and eddie but steve just grabbed him by the scruff and hauled his ass over to his car with robin. as they got further away, you could hear dustinās confused complaints get quieter and quieter before it was just you and eddie left alone in the schools parking lot.
āwhere to handsome? wanna head home so you can get changed?ā you asked as you wrapped your arms around his neck, gently combing your hands through the hair that rested there.
āyeah, heading home sounds-ā he sighed dramatically, using his arms that were resting on your waist draw you in even closer so you were standing nose to nose, ā-extremely tempting right now. butā¦not just because i want to get changed to got out. again.ā you grinned at his implication and nudged his nose with yours,
āoh yeah? what ācha got in mind, big boy?ā you murmured. you two were unbearably close now, close enough that parents on the street would scoff and cover their childrenās eyes as the passed.
āwouldnāt you like to know, doll face. wouldnāt you like to knowā eddie laughed. he put an end to the teasing by meeting you in the middle for a kiss. you lips came together like waves colliding in the ocean, seamlessly.
you were so happy that you had eddie. so much couldāve gone wrong in only the past week or so but you both survived it, not without your fair share of permanent reminders, but it was ok, you had each other and all of your friends around you. whatever happened next, you reckoned you could handle it.
