I have a feeling Steph is so mischaracterized in this fandom because so many people didn't read the CYSTW posts.

Like the number of people in the fandom who admit to not reading the letters or not watching the tapes, I wouldn't be surprised

thinking about how habit's animal motif is a rabbit but he's an abnormal predator in his ecosystems.

So much imagery with rabbits and I see so many people draw Habit and Evan with the rabbit motif but I rarely see anyone discuss or draw how the cannibalistic tendencies of the rabbit, a prey animal, symbolize how Evan destroys himself as much as Habit destroys Evan's life.

Like yeah Habit eats people but Evan is tearing himself up and is left with nothing at the end. He too is all-consuming. Be it himself, his collections, games, his friends. That empty hole Evan has had for his entire life was an entry way for Habit- it's literally why he was even inhabited in the first place. This guy amplifies human kind's bad habits, Evan was full of them.

that isnt to say its Evan's fault. The Princeton Tapes and documents are lengthy clues to Evan's past. I fear he was already vacant and doomed, regardless of how desperately he tried to protect his friends. It wasnt really them he needed to protect, it was himself.
