Hit the fucking lottery (Craigslist free stuff)

I got a 30 gal fully planted fish tank with all the fancy gear and a real stand 100% free 🤪

This is the way it came, I just added water and a filter(they took the old filter media out of the one it came with😭). I'm excited to do some scaping and propagation tomorrow! Not gonna clean it as much as I want to yet so it can cycle as much as possible, so there's some algae on the glass for now.

Also thinking about adding a bubble wall, I already have the things to set it up! I'm so lucky to live somewhere with a lot of other hobbyists around bc I truly don't spend that much money on tanks and gear. I <3 Craigslist sm

Okie fr this is the scape. The glass is still foggy with algae until it's fully cycled, but I think I'm gonna start planning for stocking :)

Debating floating plants in here, I think I wanna try to find a new floater if possible. I have red roots, Sylvania (cat tongue)big and little, and of course duckweed all thriving in various proportions in all my tanks that I could just scoop up and plop in there. But there's so many kinds! If there's any that you know of that I should get lemme know!

For fish I'm thinking about putting my angels from another tank in here, and maybe some kuhili loaches. There's already about 6 or 7 assassin snails that came with it so no other types of snail dudes. I have seen some teeny tiny baby assassins in there too, I hope they survive!

On an aquarium posting kick rn but like, this snail is teasing me so bad. They're nocturnal, so I expected some nighttime activity at least, but here's what I got from day one to day two lol

Snail update:

Saw the tiiiiiniest babies in there yesterday! So small I can't tell what species they are yet, but trapdoor snails give live birth, so it's very possible they came from the big mama snail 🐌

Sad I missed a potential birth event, would be really cool to watch next time!
