If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin
Injustice is unbearable, which is why living in this world is so hard for me. To make matters worse, it seems I’ve developed a fascination with Baldwin, who revels in injustice. This is the story of Fonny and Trish, of people’s lies, of the police’s cruelty and racism; it feels all too plausible right now and it’s really got to me, even though the ending remains open.
Le ingiustizie sono insopportabili, per questo vivere in questo mondo mi fa tanta fatica. Per peggiorare la situazione inoltre, sembra che io abbia sviluppato una passione per Baldwin, che nelle ingiustizie ci sguazza. Questa é la storia di Fonny e Trish, delle bugie della gente, della cattiveria e del razzismo della polizia, ed é attualmente molto piú che plausibile e mi ha fatto male, anche se il finale resta aperto.
