got myself a somewhat proper theme now. not sure how many mutuals are still active since i haven’t really been keeping up with the mlp fandom since mlp:fim ended but i’m going to try and be around!

A disappointed scowl, clearly disappointed his attempt at demanding the immediate attention of the girls paying a visit to his dearest and most BELOVED of friends had been squandered by a scheduling conflict. And what was he left with? Not Spike. Not even Starlight Glimmer, who was at LEAST somewhat amusing in how easy she was to rile up.

No. Just some NERD, with his nerd glasses and his nerd books. Dreadful.

“ … oh hello. You. I SUPPOSE you could help me, by providing me with a distraction from my utter boredom … ” Discord sighed as if relenting to a compromise he was not especially happy with, floating over the other’s shoulder to snoop on what the books he was poring over. “ What is it you’re working on here? ”

 The frown did not go unnoticed to the red-maned pony, reacting to the expression with a response of his own. Brows drawing together and eyes shifting from left to right. Had he said something wrong to the Lord of Chaos himself? Oh, that will not do! While Discord is someone he’d grown accustomed to upon being in the other’s presence during events and gatherings, he never thought they’d actually be speaking face to face. And since they were, he definitely didn’t want to come off as rude if he had said or done anything to earn that scowl from the god.

    But it’s Discord who breaks the silence and has him blinking at the pages of the book he’d been scouring through. He isn’t quite sure how he’d provide entertainment, considering he spends his time reading books and restoring lost tomes but he appreciated that Discord seemed to be interested.

    ❛ Oh! Uhm... I’m in the process of organizing the pages and rewriting the faded scripture of this ancient tome. Actually, I hope you don’t mind my asking... is it from an era you recognize? I’m quite certain that it’s from Starswirls’ but it’s nice to get another set of eyes looking at it. ❜

At the crack of dawn he gathered his scrolls in a frenzy and hurried up the steps leading back to the main hall of the palace from Starswirl’s study. While most ponies would be sleep deprived and hunger for some breakfast, Sunburst was hailing down Princess Luna at the sight of her heading towards the throne room. There’s no time to catch his breath. He skids to a halt before her and begins his raving.

    ❛ I tried all night trying to open this lock to a door but it’s nothing I’ve ever seen! I mean, it’s probably, err most likely some sort of complicated latch that requires some puzzle solving and I’d get back right to it but! I was wondering if you might know how to unlock it! I might’ve found another hidden room pertaining to Starswirl! Of course I could just write him a letter and send it his way but what if the lock on the door is some sort of test... ❜ Oh the poor thing is rambling on now.
