Gaza grandmother needs stomach virus treatment

Baby Ayla’s grandmother Intisar has been struggling with health problems for months, as we have discussed previously. Currently she is battling the viral gastroenteritis that is raging through Gaza, the same sickness from which little Ayla herself is still trying to recover. Intisar has received some preliminary treatment, but she is out of funds and will be refused further treatment. She currently needs $350 for medication to fight the virus.

As a consequence of 1) harsh and cramped living conditions imposed by the occupation, 2) being unable to afford treating the virus in a timely manner, and 3) Ayla’s already weakened immune system, Intisar’s grand daughter Ayla has once again contracted the same virus she had previously, the one her grandmother is still recovering from. She needs antiviral, antibiotic, antiseptic, immune support treatments, and nutrition therapy in order to completely treat the virus and prevent its return. Due to scarcity imposed by the occupation, the cost of these treatments comes to $1,600 usd.
