Can we talk about how Hagrid is a half-giant and basically the only of his kind at Hogwarts? How his birth was revealed without his consent in a “news” article, causing parents to see him as incompetent and violent? How he took the fall for a crime he didn’t commit because he looked brutish and dumb compared to the golden-child prefect Tom Riddle, who accused him? How this caused him to miss out on the rest of his education and left him to be banned from using magic, the biggest indicator of outsider status in the magical world? How, despite all of this, he’s still genuinely a better person than a kid who got bullied a few times and became obsessive over the girl he didn’t get? How Hagrid’s love of those big, scary monsters isn’t because he’s silly or naive, but because he knows what it’s like to be seen as a monster when it’s not true? Hagrid is miles more interesting and compelling, but people can’t get past the obsessive, creepy asshole. I have strong feelings about Rubeus Hagrid.

omg that would be such a thing that totally happened• it would be near the end of the night + remus is tipsy and sleepy• but sirius is wide awake + his heart is //hurting// rn bc remus looks so beautiful + soft + sleepy sat on the sofa• so sirius sits at the other end with james between them • i think sirius probably starts mumbling about how it’s not fair that someone can look that soft• ‘he’s so soft james, just look at him’• ‘look at his eyes james, they’re so beautiful i keep looking, james am i looking now?? look at his eyes’• james leaves at one point obviously, but sirius is still rambling, probably about how remus always has inky fingers but they’re so delicate + sometimes he just wants to sit and trace his thumb over remus’ palm• sleepy remus is totally aware of a rambling sirius but i think it takes him a while to realise who sirius is talking about• he probs turns to face sirius to watch him as he mumbles, he’s probs acting grumpy with himself for pining but he’ll have that smile on his face bc he’s talking about remus • + sirius is still rambling on + on, facing the fire, talking about curly hair + bony elbows• but his eyes have started dropping + his words are sort of melting together• idk these puppies probably both fall asleep on the sofa together• and remus is totally a sly dog ends up hugging sirius in the night• so yh, they’re dorks in love but now they both know so that means kisses + cuddles + being soppy nerds together
