Well HELLO DAN HENG. 🫪🫣

Finally got the Dan Heng & Blade confrontation + the magical girl transformation haha Very satisfied!! Had not actually seen either but I knew they had to happen at some point, and boy was it worth it. :> Then he just up and parted the sea !!! Aah very cool, much love. Dan Heng's interactions with Jing Yuan were also fun!! Sad and bittersweet and full of that good good angst 👌

Also Tingyun ;w; I wasn't really sure what to make of her from the start. Like is she sus? Am I just not vibing with her character type? I still don't know since it's unclear if I ever met the real Tingyun. That head tilt was creepy as hell. 😖

Hate that it didn't let MC say anything to Dan Heng when I was able to go around and talk as him before parting the sea!! He's clearly got his own personality. He makes comments on stuff on his own all the time. Let him say something!! 😤

Also did the side quest with Dan Shu and wasn't even surprised when she drugged me. (She got Really Intense talking to that little girl.) 😔 One would assume I'd learn from this and no longer eat the dubious food/medicine that random people give me, and one would be wrong. Never refuse free food. 😉 Ended up letting her go purely bc I didn't want to fight lol

Xianzhou has been fairly fine so far. The whole thing with Kafka was fun, but she left so quickly! And took Blade with her! As for other characters, I like Jing Yuan even more. Fu Xuan is kind of funny! And I like her design. Very Sailor Moon-esque. Uhh then I got waylaid by a deer....and started getting sick of all of the puzzles lol And then once I finally got rid of the deer, in came a whole slew of more side quests.... 🙉 I know I don't have to do them, but they dish out so much lore and character interactions OTL Thankfully, Luocha's companion quest saved it! Probably even more hilarious than Asta's. I legit had tears in my eyes - even before March's reenactment of the crime.

I can totally see that haha I certainly spent much of my time in Belobog looking for trashcans. I know one line was like "I looked over and Dan Heng's expression was one of complicated understanding" or something lmao

belobog really cemented its place my heart after their first real interaction with the universe outside of their planet. xianzhou is a beast… you will either like it a lot or feel incredibly bored. my favorite character is jing yuan (has been since launch) so i pushed my way through but dang is it wordy. it has a lot of good lore and sets up a lot of cool events, but it’s very much an exposition arc in my opinion.

I finally started Xianzhou, so I'll soon come to find out how I feel haha So far, Jing Yuan is probably my favorite funnily enough - though I've only had one interaction. 😚 I liked running into Kafka again, too. She's fun. It's certainly interesting to go from instant fugitives to just being stonewalled or given the run around. I almost miss the open hostility tbh At least I got to hit things! (Might be somewhat of what you mean lmao)

The best part is having Welt with me! I kept hoping he'd come down to Belobog, but I'll take Xianzhou. :3 If I could, I'd have the whole Express crew with me, but I'm perfectly happy having them take turns.

super stoked you’re getting into hsr!! my favorite planet is penacony but belobog will always have a soft part in my heart.

Hehe I'm having a lot of fun so far! Penacony definitely looks interesting from the character trailers. I think it's after Xianzhou, right? 👀 I'm excited to get there, but I haven't even made it to Xianzhou yet lol I've been tackling all the side quests that opened up after completing Belobog. Speaking of, I can see why! Jarilo-VI is crazy good for a first foray into this trailblazing business. As it was coming to a close, it actually felt like the ending to a really good game on its own! Got me all sad to leave even tho I knew I'd obviously be able to go back immediately. Which is really impressive!

(Side note: I adore that Trailblazer MC is canonically a goofball. I've never felt closer to an MC haha)

Since you're interested in my thoughts on HSR, I gotta come clean now and say I've spoiled myself all to hell with Phainon and Amphoreus. ;w; Seeing his trailer made me look into him and his story...and eventually made me want to play the game and experience it all myself! Kind of sucks I can't go into it blind, but I also probably wouldn't have tried HSR again without the spoilers, so. Pros and cons! The good thing is I don't know a single thing about the previous worlds aside from what was revealed in the trailers. :3 Like, Jarilo-VI was a complete (pleasant) surprise! And even if I know the next world has ties to Dan Heng (and I guess? The most shallow understanding of his secret?), I don't the plot or how we, the Express crew, come into things.

All that aside...yeah Phainon absolutely deserves a sick ultimate. I just didn't expect it to be SO sick haha That trailer was already mindblowing. Could not have imagined that the in game animation would be better.

Also wow you can really tell the special 5 stars are built different haha I was already feeling it with Archer, but Phainon is just mowing em all down. 😅 Poor Dan Heng is no longer just a glass cannon. He's pure glass. Utterly delicate compared to Archer, Phainon, and Preservation Path MC. I almost feel bad using him, especially bc he starts every battle talking about not liking conflict. I'd leave him out of my team, but I don't have any wind character to replace him yet. And sooo many enemies so far are weak to wind. 😬

Yeahhhh geppie doesn't get a lot of spotlight but I think that's apt for his job.

His moments in like side stuff (quests and games) is pretty good though.

Like his wanted drawings of us march dan hengband sampo lol.

Xianzhou is basically gonna be dan hengs arc for a good bit when it gets rolling so have fun!

Yeah I'm definitely looking forward to his side stuff! Asta's was hilarious, and Natasha's broke my heart. And I've already gushed over Hook. I've loved all the companion quests thus far, and I can't imagine that will change. :>

Very excited to get into my boi Dan Heng's mysterious past! I've inevitably had some stuff spoiled for me (consequence of watching character videos & then reading YT comments; in my defense! I did not think I was going to pick HSR up again at the time 😅), but a good story can't be ruined by spoilers, and by now I certainly trust HSR to deliver good stories. Nevermind the fact that it's been a while since then, and actually playing the game yourself is super different than second hand accounts.

All that is to say.... I at least know enough to be hype haha

If you want more impressions from Jarilo-VI:

Hook has MY HEART. Precious baby I wanna stick her in my pocket and have her boss me around the universe haha I did NOT expect to adore her so much (I'm not usually a fan of prominent child characters; not dislike, just neutral), but she was definitely the highlight of, like, the B plot. It was such a delight every time I got a side quest for her. Probably gonna miss her the most as we go along.

Also Gepard IS hot, and I do actually like him a lot. 🤣 I'd have liked to see more of him, but I also feel like he fulfilled his role in the plot very well! Not sure where else they could have squeezed him in. Bronya and Seele had it handled. 🫪

On that note, I like Serval a lot too! Hot, intelligent, mechanically gifted band chick with a storied past?? Sign me up! Did not expect her ties to Cocolia (👀 💔?) and the stellaron, which was a nice twist, and her relationship with Gepard was very sweet! They actually felt like siblings (a real feat considering anime & anime-adjacent media tend to get that SO weirdly wrong, speaking as the middle child to two brothers). Things might have been complicated between them, but you could feel the love and care and history there! Excellent confrontation, love the conclusion. I said, "Thanks for your understanding" when Gepard reasoned his way into helping us, and he had the most interesting kind of embarrassed? Conflicted? Look on his face lmao (Tho I could have been imagining it.) It was cute!

Uh As a whole, I can't really think of anything besides a general "It was very good!" I enjoyed it a lot - story, characters, even gameplay. When Bronya said Jarilo-VI would wait 700 years for us... BRONYA I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU 🙈🙈🙈 (Bronya simp competition and your competitor is Seele... 💀💀)

And in my heart of hearts, when we leave, Bronya and Seele will marry to bridge the gap between the overworld and the underworld. How else will they regain the people's trust?? Truly, it's the only way 😔 Bless🙏

Ngl was initially slightly hyped for Jarilo-VI bc of the hot knight guy (I have a type, sue me! 😬) I saw in the character trailers a while back only for him to be utterly eclipsed by the infinitely more interesting enemies(?) to lovers + upright knight/scrappy rebel yuri lmao I actually forgot all about him until he showed up in the plot for a bit haha I had heard of the Bronya/Seele blush beforehand, tho, and it did NOT disappoint. 👌

Anyway 1000000/10 start HSR. I am Intrigued 👀 Off to the next world, I guess!!
