Shipping Collectibles

Please. I cannot stress this enough, If you are shipping collectibles, treat them like a baby. I was a shipping manger for 10 years and some things are common sense. The little details in packaging make a difference I received a $300 Aliens APC from Amazon that I was very excited about. No bubble wrap. None, zilch, zero. I get it happens and insurance covers it, but it’s saddening. I waited two weeks to have my hopes up for nothing. It was crushed because it had no packing material other than a little bit of paper.

If you’re gonna ship something roll it in some bubble wrap, tape it up, and cushion it. It’s not that hard. Even ad some extra layers of cardboard. Everyone is happy. Problem solved.

Funko Pops

When will they stop? I love my Pops! When you think about it though, they have become modern day baseball cards. The biggest difference being that they take up way more space. I see it on Instagram, Twitter, and my own home. They’re addicting. When I started it was a fluke. I was a vendor that used Entertainment Earth for my distributor. The Walking Dead was just becoming a thing and so was Funko. I bought a couple of Pops to sell which went quick. Then...then I started buying for myself.

When I started buying for myself it was a couple of Walking Dead here and there. Then I started looking at the catalog of everything that was offered. Movies, TV shows, music! I couldn’t believe it!. And here we are now 168 Pop figures later. Do I regret it? No. Will I keep buying them? Yes. Somehow, someway Funko has come up with one of the most sought out collectibles in over a decade.
