most people stayed out of the lycée these days and maybe that was partially why davina didn’t. standing in the building located within the cemetery grounds davina felt relaxed. she might not have had supernaturally enhanced hearing but davina didn’t need it to pick up on the presence lingering behind her. with her lips curled into a slight smile, the dark haired witch kept her gaze on the canvas as she moved the paintbrush across the surface with controlled motions. “if you want something you should probably say it rather than just standing there.” davina hummed with mirth.

“Sound assessment, my love,” Kol’s shoulder was pressed against the door, hands folded in front of him and a fond smile on his lips as he watched Davina pore over a canvas. Finally he sauntered forward and leaned against her, chin resting in the crook of her shoulder. “I want to marry you,” he declared, as if it wasn’t already obvious thanks to the huge sparkling ring on her finger. “However, I suppose that for the moment I could settle for hearing about how you managed to acquire this lovely little lair all for yourself,” he finished with a lifted brow and a small kiss pressed to the skin between her neck and jaw. “Hm?”

💟 what is your muse’s opinion on love, relationships, etc?

“While I never doubted it’s existence, I suppose that to an extent I’ve always considered love to be a rather pointless — or, at least that’s what I would tell myself in an effort to feel better about never receiving any from those who I believed owed it to me. If I couldn’t have love then what good was it? Of course, now I’ve got more of it than anyone and it’s become much easier to understand why something which appears to be such a simple concept on the surface is actually quite a powerful and inspiring thing. Pointless or not, I believe in love; it’s done too much for me to feel any other way and it makes me far happier than anything else ever has; nothing's even come close.”

“Ah. That would have to be informing my family of my somewhat recent betrothal. I suppose you could say that I’ve been putting it off, due largely in part to what I’m certain shall be a quite frankly impressive amount of protestation and dismay regarding the news and I’d simply prefer for my engagement to be a celebration for just a little while longer before it has to turn into an argument likely resulting in a dagger to the heart, though I doubt my intended will allow for such a thing to stand for very long. Last I checked she would like to be married before the next century or two passes and so would I.”
