I probably care about reaction channels way more than the average person but man, it really bums me out how none of them seem to be willing to watch woy. I just paid $31 through someone’s Patreon for them to react to it and they ended up not liking it and not wanting to continue lmao 😭 Which, listen, I get it…. It’s quite childish for the average person.

But at the same time there’s a million tawog reactions, MLP reactions, and even SpongeBob reactions coming out every day. Is woy really that much more childish than those shows? I guess it mainly comes down to the fact that there’s not a huge audience demand, not many people request it and there’s not enough consistent viewership for it to be worth it for those channels… Augh!!! Woy is like the one thing I’m into that nobody else really cares about!!! It’s a super painful feeling!!!!

Okay okay, I’m being very dramatic. I just feel like somehow, reaction channels would bring great visibility to the show and like… yknow. I dunno😞. I have this overwhelming burning feeling inside to do *something* to “help” the show while also knowing logically that there’s very little than can be done for a show like this at this point.

Anyways, if you’re interested…. The only people who’ve done full reactions to woy are:

Ganmue: Most of the reactions are cut down for copyright reasons but are still quite good in my opinion. In season 1, episodes 3 and 37 are redirects to a Google Drive, if you don’t have access to it you can request access and he’s very likely to give it to you. Episode 10 sadly seems to be just missing. For season 2 all of the episodes are available on YouTube but he actually has a couple non-cut reactions as well! Let me know if you want the playlist I made that contains his reactions to a couple uncut season 2 episodes.

Fusionator: Full uncut reactions to every episode BUT they are Patreon exclusive at the moment. Although I think $8 for the full series is a pretty reasonable price.

Okay let’s debate… Do you guys consider Wander a canonically mlm character? 🤔

I believe it was stated that there would’ve never been any romance between the main cast BUT that doesn’t necessarily negate sexuality. Besides, I personally believe things can be interpreted as “canon” within the text even if not originally intended.

It’s a pretty well known fun fact at this point that if “The Date” had featured Wander instead of Sylvia as the fake date then there would’ve been no conflict because Wander would be happy to go on a date with Hater. Now you might be thinking that Wander is such a nice guy he’d do this for anyone so it doesn’t necessarily indicate attraction — but the “happy” part is what I’m stuck on (and maybe that’s just me reading into word choice too hard but likeeee).

I think it’s safe to assume the events of the date would’ve gone the same way regardless of who was in that position. So the dinner, the carnival, the kiss in the carriage, the marriage. You’re telling me Wander would happily do all that?? The kissing and marriage included?? And keep in mind at ‘exclamation point’ Hater was really trying to GO for it, it only ended up being a tiny kiss on the head because Syliva didn’t wanna kiss him at all. So if it was Wander sitting there….. ahem.

Also Wander wasn’t so eager to kiss Janet, which isn’t to stay that he can’t be attracted to woman / feminine presenting beings but simply to show that he won’t do that for literally anyone just to make them happy. (Or maybe he was simply too terrified to think about that lmao, if she asked nicely he might’ve said yes! There’s also the whole… spikey mouth)

Anyways all I’m saying is if a man being happy to date another man is gay then what the hell is all this…

Thinking about wander over yonder and got reminded again how much they cooked with wander and Sylvia and their relationship. Wander is an all loving pacifist presenting himself as chill and free spirited. But he has crippling ocd, is extremely impulsive and make rash and dangerous decisions when things are out of his control. Sylvia is a tough woman who'd rather fix problems with her fists and seem kind of a worrywort. But she's by far the most sensible and rational of the two and the most composed. Wander has a savior complex. He cares about being useful. He care about having things under control. His body is free, but his mind is tied down to his imaginary responsibilities towards other people. Sylvia cares about wander's safety most of all. She want nothing more than to protect him. He want nothing more than for her to stay. She's scared he will die. He's scared she will leave him. He goes anywhere he wants. She follows. She'll always follow. If she doesn't, he'll just have to find someone who's exactly like her. No big deal right?

It would be fair to assume wander loves chaos and the unexpected but... as someone with ocd, such disorder develops when you lose control of your life and you feel powerless towards what might come. That's why Sylvia must always be expected. She's the one constant certainty in his life, his home to return to.

On one hand Wander is quite heteronormative for assuming Dominator and Hater could date just because Dominator is a woman, but on the other hand it was progressive of him to try and get them to fall in love the entire time Hater thought she was a guy. It makes me wonder what Peepers thought he was implying here 😭
