For months now, I have been trying to nail the perfect banana bread recipe. And I think have finally found the perfect balance of sweet, moist, and nutty. Super happy with how it turned out!

Today I had an amazing time being the "sous-chef" for @fskamal. We bought all fresh ingredients to make this simple but flavourful risotto. The smell of garlic sizzling in butter pervaded my whole living room until the food was ready! I hope I can emulate this recipe once Farah leaves as well. 💓

I am always thinking about how to recreate the hot and spicy flavours from my mom's kitchen in Karachi here in Holland with half as much time and effort. Working full time leaves little space to indulge in mom's recipes, but I managed to remix her zucchini curry recipe. It comes together in under 30 minutes, is light on oil yet delicious, and can be enjoyed over a bed of spinach and bulgur.

One of the many things I appreciate about living in holland is the focus it puts on nurturing your body and soul. From the larger themes such as work-life balance down to small treats like seeds that a grocery store gives out for free to encourage people to grow their own food, it's all too good to be true sometimes. 😊 That said, I'm so happy to share this photograph of my grown-up plants which started as little seeds in two inches cardboard containers not too long ago. 💕 This is what care can do, for plants and humans alike. 🙏🏼 #selfcare #springdiy #balconygarden #nurturewithnature (at Amsterdam, Netherlands)
