Mistakes: Genuine or Intentional?
I understand that we’re all not perfect human beings. However, there are some mistakes that feels intentional when they are made again and again that they somehow feel like it’s part of your human nature. Does that sentence make sense? Okay, let me give you an example: Let’s say this person came to work late the first time. He/She has some excuse (e.g. migraines, stomachaches, personal problems) and always appears to be apologetic. However, it happens wayyyy too frequent that it starts to feel intentional. I’d say this person has a poor sense of responsibility/poor time management/does not actually care about being punctual at all. It’s part of his/her nature. They have been told off before but to no avail. Thus what does one do in this type of situation?
Any advice for me? I have asked my family and friends but all of them seem to say the same thing: Let go. Just focus on myself and my work. The thing is, it is very infuriating for me because why do I bother to make an effort being on time when I can just come to work whenever I wish and just give some lame excuse? This is just one basic example of the circumstance that I am trying to explain. Send help please.
