Playing around with a new storybook idea. I have the story, now to figure out the characters. I'm currently set on insects because of the Goedenacht en slaap zacht book. Also I love bees. And I think little pollen leg warmers are cute.

Practical issue is how to have the legs etc stand out enough from the black bodies.

Currently I've picked the quintessential bumblebee for the kid, with one of the mums (the one on the right) being the same. Then other mum either a red tailed bumblebee (my fav but more black to deal with) or a common carder bee. What do you think?
