the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.

it's so funny to me when people complain about mgs having long cutscenes and codecs. like truly no offense but why are you even here then lol? especially in the older games... the gameplays not that good, man. i simply can't relate to getting to a cutscene in like mgs1 or something and being mad that i have to watch some crazy campy shit happen because i'm chomping at the bit to get back to the tedious stealth gameplay. idk i guess i'm just here for different reasons

tbh for me one of the best things about metal gear is the fact that there's a button i can press to listen to characters banter for a few minutes while i take a sip of my drink or have a snack. it's awesome

I truly do love how the dragon age games are just:

Origins: you're dead. You have been since the beginning. You should be by the end.

Dragon age 2: you failed and there's nothing you can do about it. You lost your home twice.

Inquisition: you're erased. You are the most important person in the world and nothing you are matters.

And it fucking slaps!!
