Perhaps this is unnecessary.
I’m not telling you how to raise your child.
But I think it's the dumbest thing when we force our daughters into the roles of being PRINCESSES. (Like the old school ones, I think Disney finally got the picture in Moana.)
gasp. Hear me out.
First of all: The princess image has a patent and a price tag. Let me remind you that from an advertising stand point, it seems like a generated jackpot that someone is benefiting from because people dress their kids like dolls they're not dolls people.
And I’m sorry. But what do princesses do?? Uh, they sleep. They, whistle some things. They dress pretty and go to balls. They lose shoes. They get locked up in towers. They whine to their fathers. They essentially long to be not princesses. They are waiting for Prince Charming.
Parents. If you want to let your girls be princesses by all means, treat them like a princess, but tell them they have got to contribute to something, ANYTHING first before they has jurisdiction over a real heap of people who don’t know what to do except follow their example.
I’m over the image Disney painted our princesses as. Helpless, damsels in distress, hoping for Prince Charming to walk in and whisp us away. Your daughters’ heart will be broken waiting for Prince Charming. They need to be prepared.
Remember to show your daughters Power Rangers and X-Men. Even that Princess Sofia show makes a kid wonder why they don’t live in a castle and have royal sleepovers. Princesses are protected by her people. Not made into a commodity or an obsession. I think we can tone it back. I think dress up is fun but so is learning self-defense.

The last thing the men behind the curtain want is a conscious informed public capable of critical thinking. Which is why a continually fraudulent zeitgeist is output via religion, the mass media, and the educational system. They seek to keep you in a distracted, naive bubble. And they are doing a damn good job of it.
