what are snails even trying to do
my guys. i come here, 6 years after the fact, to answer this question for real...
while procrastinating the proof reading of my dissertation i was perusing a thread of tumblr posts shared on twitter. within this was a tweet captioned 'op is so fucking cute :(' and this tweet held the answer to the only important question ever asked: what are snails even trying to do
i asked this question 6 years ago while in my backgarden after finding an extortionate amount of snails just chillin. a fuck tonne of you taunted me by reblogging this post with the answer 'their best' which has given this post more notes than its ever deserved and you wont stop! i havent used this blog properly in over a year and yet my activity is still kept alive by this fucking post!!
but finally i return to you today to give u the answer to this, courtesy of mydogisabutt. within their post 'things i've learnt from nearly 2 years raising garden snails' they inform us that snails are: "SOCIAL!!!!!"; "like comfort"; "are affectionate", as well as that they have "best friends" who they go out of their way to sit on, kiss, and share lunch with (mydogisabutt, 2018)
it is safe to say that the phenomenon i observed of these snails climbin on one another despite their being ample space for all was none other than some snail friends hanging out and was not, in fact, the vague 'their best' yall gave me.
thanks 4 ur time
