I feel kind of bad for the light I’m going to be painting bakugou in the beginning of the Fem!Izuku fic but I just can’t see everything being the same in that AU. I’ve had female friends get bullied by guys that they were really close to. And it’s not a good place for them mentally or physically. I had a friend who dated a guy, they broke up (on good terms), only to have him turn around and cut a chunk of hair off her head. She doesn’t let people touch her hair anymore.
As a female I see Izuku being a little more hesitant around bakugou. Not so much blind hero worship, but still has a lot or respect for him and his passion to become a hero. I think the dynamic the two of them have will be very different, for them and a reader, with Izuku as a girl.
A/N: After a lot of debating, and pushing by one of my closest friends, I finally decided to post this. Staring Izuka, or Fem!Izuku if you will, and the first attack on the class of 1-A. Shigaraki might seem a bit ooc but I wrote this before getting completely caught up with the manga ><.
Izuka stands between her hero and the villain.
There is no breeze pushing her hair dramatically in the wind. No catchy music playing as she steps up to fight. No it's just her and this mad man covered in hands.
Her legs are stiff, the muscles almost painfully tense while the rest of her trembles. In the distance she can hear the screams of her classmates as more villains begin their attack. "Well, well... I've never had a lamb volunteer for slaughter." The villain taunts, slouching back and sliding his hands into his pocket.
He's so indifferent to all of this, to the blood on the ground and the screams. Izuka has to fight the way her body wants to naturally flinch away from this man. For the first time she understands how a mouse feels before a cat.
she bites into the flesh of her cheek. The warm gush of blood a perfect distraction from her fear.
She spits it out to the side, watching the way the villains head follows it. So he can see past that ridiculous hand on his face.
"Looking for a blind spot little lamb?" He calls out jovially.
Her eyes narrow at the name. 'Still better than Deku.' Her subconscious reasons.
"I don't need a blind spot to beat you." She says blithely.
"Oh?"
"I'll do it with my fist aiming straight for your face." Izuka says smiling with the fakest confidence ever known to man.
The villain goes silent for a while. His entire body rigid and then, after the sweat has started to travel down Izuka's neck, his body slowly starts to shake. She takes a step back involuntarily, watching as his body jerks erratically. 'Is this his quirk?' she wonders heart tensing.
Then she hears it.
Scratchy and unused, it sounds like a metal rake dragging down a dirt road.
'Is he...'
Izuka's eyes narrow and she's yelling before she can think, "Hey! Are you laughing at me?"
He staggers back laughing even harder. His hands fly out of his pockets to hold his head as he bends almost entirely backwards in his fit.
Izuka grits her teeth together. When Bakugou laughed at her it was one thing. She was use to him not taking her seriously. But this complete stranger? This villain laughing at her? it made her tremble for an entirely different reason.
"Ha, that's a good one kid. Now why don't you step aside and let the pro's talk." He says, waving his hand at her and still lightly laughing.
"Make. Me." She snarls.
He tilts his head slowly at that, hand hovering in the air. Light blue hair falls to the side parting to reveal a baggy eye between the fingers on his face. Izuka stares at that single eye; her heart racing but a fire of malice burning so hot it makes one-for-all crackle under her skin.
The villain hums with slight interest.
"All right little lamb lets make a deal." Izuka's eyebrows rise at the offer, "If you hit me I'll tell you all about why I'm here."
"And if you hit me?" She asks with distrust.
He stretches his arms out in a wide arc hands open peacefully. If she could see his face Izuka is certain she would see a smile. His entire body oozes confidence.
"If I hit you... then," He pauses dramatically, "You die."
Her heart stops at his bargain and then the next second tries to escape with the air that whooshes from her chest.
"That doesn't seem very fair." She counters.
"Life isn't fair little lamb." He tsks, "Now, do we or don't we have a deal?"
Izuka's mind tumbles with the pros and cons of accepting. If she is really up to such a challenge. 'If I can just buy us enough time for Iida to return with help...' She thinks frowning.
She looks at the villain and then back at her hero. All Might holds his side, steam already starting to seep from his body. "Midoriya, my girl-" He tries to speak but another wave of blood from his mouth stops him.
Eyes following droplets of blood to the ground Izkua turns back to the villain and the deal. Her mouth folds into a firm determine line. "I'm sorry Al Might." She whispers stepping forward, shoulders squaring as she lifts her arms up to fight.
The air crackles with One for All and the tension seeps into the air. The Villain laughs, "Heh, welcome to the slaughterhouse little lamb."
((Female Izuku is an interesting concept for me to think about; and when I let my mind wander it comes up with a lot of ideas. After writing this bit I’m playing around with the idea of writing the entire series with Fem!Izuku with a few tweaks for my own personal guilty pleasure.))
