omg i want to fucking chew on kyouji from karafami. Like the way he's so touchy and flirty and unserious in karaoke because he doesn't realise how deep he is. satomi is just a kid, and sure, he kinda wants to be around him all the time but he's a kid so obviously it means nothing. He likes him, and he'll act on that and tease him, and bully the kid into going places with him and take charge because it's not serious. Because satomi's a kid so it would be nuts if it was serious, it's completely unthinkable.

But skip forward to famiresu and kyouji is nearly a completely different character. He's still got that unaffected air but he never touches satomi, never flirts with him, is basically completely passive in their relationship, except he keeps organising their meetups. Gives satomi that fucking watch. Gives satomi whatever he wants but he's completely stopped taking anything.

Because at some point in between the two series' he's realised that it is serious. It's like the wiping away of that invisible line when kyouji turned eighteen made him thoroughly freak out. He has no idea how to deal with how in deep he is and no idea to get out. He's drowning in it all, only being kept afloat by ceding all autonomy in their relationship.
