I LOVE that Kiyoko and Tanaka end up together but do you think that was a humiliating conversation Kiyoko had to have with the other third years? Like after everything??? Having to tell them that actually Tanaka did succeed in winning her over and they were apparently wrong to make fun of him for his crush??

Suga, sipping on a drink: you know I'm glad we shifted to paper straws as a culture because save the turtles and all that, but I think we need to invest in paper science. This straw is limp as hell and its only been three minutes.

Daichi: well you could always just take the lid off and drink it like normal.

Suga: like a heathen? Absolutely not.

Asahi: why don't you buy one of those reusable metal ones?

Kiyoko, barely listening, staring at her feet as they walk sweating over the fact that she has to tell them she let Tanaka kiss her last night and she liked it:

The apartment lingered with the smell of sugar, warm and sweet enough to make anyone forget about the rain tapping softly against the window. The kitchen lights glowed gold across countertops, reflecting off bowls filled with crepe batter and a ridiculous amount of strawberries Daichi insisted on buying during their last grocery visit. 

The front door opened, followed by the soft rustle of an umbrella being folded shut. “Daichi! you’re home!” Sugawara called out from the kitchen, whisk still in his hand, hair slightly messy and a streak of flour dusted on the side of his cheek. But the moment Daichi stepped through the doorway, the lights above him hummed and his whole world seemed to stop. Sugawara, of course, noticed almost immediately. “Hey,” he said softer this time, setting the whisk down and giving Daichi his full attention. “You’re soaked, did you get trapped in the rain again?”

Daichi didn’t answer right away, his eyes flicking over to Sugawara’s soft features, he noticed the flour on his cheek,  and the way his sleeves were rolled up a bit too high. As his eyes settled on Sugawara once again, he realized Sugawara had always been what home felt like.

Sugawara tilted his head slightly and decided to try again “Daichi?” Which seemed to pull him back to reality. “Yeah,” he finally said, voice lower than usual. He stepped inside, carefully closing the door and removing his shoes. “I’m home.” 

Sugawara let out a tiny chuckle and called him over to the kitchen. “Come here,” he said, already turning back to the counter. “If you’re going to stand there dripping, at least help me flip these crepes.” Daichi walked over to the kitchen and took off his jacket before stepping in beside him.

Their shoulders brushed.

Sugawara didn't move away.

Neither did Daichi.
