exposing myself as a hater of the superficial read that caren ortensia gets in fandom where most of the time the stuff she has to do for the church (which she has convinced herself are good deeds) is portrayed as something fun/sexy instead of you know, the fact that she's been abused and mistreated and pushed aside from the very moment kirei left her to be raised by the church, seeing as they saw her as impure and wrong and then they brainwashed her into getting sexually abused in the name of 'helping' when she got the stigmata. The things she says are certainly something she believes.

You can say she's twisted and sadistic all you want but I will never buy that "oooh she's just a sadomaso freak she's got experience" as if it was something actually fun and not horrifying for a 14 (and younger) year old to go through.
