Qualifications and Complications
palletsplaygirl:
Blue had been thinking of taking a small trip, and as much as she would love to bring her partners she worried that they’d be stuck in their pokeballs more than not. For that reason she found herself at the daycare. It had been recommended to her by many of the people that she worked with, they swore that despite the appearance of the young girl that she was indeed the best.
The brunet sighed watching as the woman proceeded to tell the woman behind the counter how sh was unqualified. She’d been about to speak up but it seemed that young daycare provider had herself covered. Leaning against the door she watched as the whole scene unfold.
It wasn’t until the end when the girl noticed her that Blue was waving her hands in front of her body. “No you’re fine she had much worse coming.” In fact she thought that the woman had handled it very professionally other than the little threat.
“I was actually coming to see about dropping off some friends.” She said then with a smile. “If you’re not too busy of course, I’m going to be heading out for a trip and I don’t want them confined to their balls.” She said with a smile.
A wave of relief washed over Kotone. After the previous woman went on and on about the girl’s “lack” of qualifications, she was glad her little outburst didn’t make her new customer think the same thing. The last thing she needed was yet another person avoiding her Day Care and creating a bad reputation. For the most part, people trusted her. Kotone had noticed that the people who were apprehensive were usually from another region. At least the people in Johto knew she was definitely qualified.
“I’m never too busy!” Kotone spoke as she bounced slightly, hopping back to the computer behind the counter. She quickly logged in and immediately walked back to the customer. “Sorry, I just needed to sign back in real quick, but I much prefer talking face to face! It’s always a bit uncomfortable if I’m stationary while trying to connect to someone!”
The one thing her grandparents told her more than anything else was that the Day Care business was all about connections and Kotone took that to heart. Being an extroverted person, she never had much trouble trying to bond with customers. If anything, it helped her realize just how important that bond was. Without a bond, there’s uncertainty if the customer will return, a hazy bubble surrounding their thoughts on the place. Kotone wanted to make sure every experience was amazing at her business, for both pokemon and their owners.
“What kind of trip are you taking? Something local or to another region?” She asked with genuine interest. She would love to travel, but her job didn’t exactly allow the time to do so. Getting back to business, Kotone held her hand out towards the customer. “I’m so sorry, I never introduced myself! I’m Kotone, I own this Day Care and have run it on my own for a couple of years now!”
