When it rains

It had been two years since she’d seemingly lost her best friend and she still felt that dull ache in her heart. She’d secluded herself for the most part hardly leaving the lab unless it was required. Typically she went from one lab to another if she wasn’t working for Sycamore then she was doing something for Oak in a hope of seeing her best friend. So far there wasn’t any word from him and work help take her mind off of everything else. 

When she arrived at the lab today however Sycamore just frowned at her and told her to go home. She’d put in more hours this week than even he had and he was starting to worry. Blue tried to assure him that she was indeed fine but he wasn’t buying it and she was sent home for the day. 

With nothing to do and no notice she was unable to go bother Professor Oak which left her for the first time in two years forced to deal with her own thoughts. Blue found herself wandering with no real destination looking around the beautiful city. Today it seemed dull and she wondered if that was because of her mood or if her opinion of Luminos had changed since first arriving thirteen years ago. 

Hearing the thunder she looked up as the sky seemed to open up and the rain came pouring down. She didn’t flinch, didn’t make to move inside instead looking straight ahead as she let her thoughts wander. It wasn’t until she heard someone speak up that she moved realizing she was shivering from the cold rain. 

“What?” She hadn’t heard what they said only that they’d spoken.

Blonde, tall, and dangerous

He wasn’t too sure about his disguise, but he figured he had done way worse. He had located a mansion that held expensive, rare Pokemon. It also seemed that the primary owners were always away during the work week, which meant plenty of time to enter and retrieve his goods.

He stood in the mirror, long blonde hair swooped down his back. He wore colored contacts, giving him brown eyes. He applied the makeup lightly, but heavy enough to contour his face into a random assortment of features. He decided that he looked trustworthy and plain enough, as if he were a Pokemon Breeder. He glossed his lips with a shimmery pink, which accentuated his lighter skin tone. After a few minutes finding the “right voice”, his disguise was perfect.

After a subway ride and a bus ride, James had arrived at the location. For the first week, he’d pretend to be a woman named Ashlynn Montgomery. He would gain the trust and create a detailed map of the entire layout. After all that was complete, a few Pokemon would go... “missing”. Then, she’d mention a Pokemon Protective Agency that could have people come and watch. Of course the Agency was a fraud; all Team Rocket members.

First things first: knocking on the door.

When it opened, James immediately began his disguise.

“Hello! My name is Ashlynn Montgomery. I was hired to be a Breeder here. I have the email and everything!” A cheery, warm smile exploded on her face.

James had made sure to fake an email, incase there were any questions.

Qualifications and Complications

Peaceful, calm, relaxed.

Those were the usual words that came to mind when Kotone thought of her place of work. She loved running the Day Care. She felt honored her grandparents entrusted the entire business to her. She was qualified, of course. She wouldn’t allow her family business to be given to her unless she was ready, and her grandparents would never trust their lifelong project to someone untrained, regardless of familial relations. Kotone knew she was capable of doing her job marvelously, which is exactly why she got so upset when people assumed she couldn’t.

“You’re in charge of the Day Care now? Are you even old enough to run a business? How am I supposed to trust my pokemon will be safe here? The last owners had years of experience, you don’t even look like you’ve had a day.”

Kotone plastered on a smile. This wasn’t the first time she’d been so obviously disrespected by a potential clients. She looked and acted pretty young for her age and honestly expected some hesitance. After all, her grandparents were much older and did have years of experience. Many more years than she did. But that didn’t mean Kotone didn’t know what she was doing.

The person had been going on and on about how she wasn’t fit to run a business for around 15 minutes now. Kotone had just been smiling and politely nodding with dead eyes. She knew that once the person tired themselves out they’d just leave.

“Maybe you should stay in a day care instead of running one.”

Anger, anger, anger.

With just one comment Kotone’s fight or flight instincts kicked in, but there was no way she was leaving her own place, so the only option left was to fight.

“Excuse me,” she started with a forced smile. “I may seem young, but I’m more than qualified to watch after your pokemon. Despite my age I’m certain I’ve taken care of way more pokemon than you have. After all, it is my profession. And unfortunately for you, all of us Day Care owners are very close, so if you don’t trust me to take care of your pokemon, then they might not trust you for judging me so quickly. Now if you don’t mind, I kindly ask that you reconsider or leave the building.”

She watched as the person huffed out, surprised to see another person standing at the door. “Oh dear Arceus!” Kotone rushed over to the person, immediately dipping her head down in shame. “I’m so sorry you had to see that! I promise I’m usually a lot more professional than that, you just caught me at a bad moment!” She looked up, embarrassment clear on her face. “I hope this doesn’t lower your opinion of the Day Care!”

Here Comes the Sun || BM Open

Ah, how luxurious of a life the rich ones can lead; being able to get up and go absolutely anywhere with only reason of them being there is because they haven’t been there yet! This is why we now focus on our brilliantly handsome, wealthy, arrogant, flirtatious Rich Boy Chaz. He has taken upon himself to ‘vacation’ to a small isle off the coast of Kanto because, as said before, he hasn’t been there yet. And what better way to get away from doing nothing than by… sitting around doing absolutely nothing. Huh, great logic there

On this tropical isle, known as Isle Delfino was a very small, yet dignified hotel amongst a quaint village that was rather in tune with nature; co-operating with Pokémon to feed them both and to strive to make a beautiful, thriving community. However, they weren’t exactly wealthy so they’re advertising hasn’t exactly been of top quality. But what little people they do get, they cherish them and make sure they’re well taken care of.

The young Quartermane however has decided to take it upon himself to relax on one of the many beaches surrounding the island, in hopes of achieving a bit more of a color than he already has. Having a folding deck chair in hand and sunglasses on face, he sets up his chair and nestles himself down into it, proceeding to soak up the sun. However this was very short lived, as his sun was blocked out by a shadow looming over him. He removed his sunglasses to look up at who was committing such a crime, but due to the glare of the sun, he couldn’t see off hand. Whoever this person was, he or she certainly a rude one!

“Excuse me, you’re standing in my sunlight! Stand aside, you uncouth ruffian!”
