Pop Culture Entities: OCs
Wanna know what a real power move is? Using your Original Characters as Pop Culture Entities. There is a lot of power in creating Servitors that will obey you and help you manifest your intent. If you have the talent, you can create an OC that is tailor-made to exactly what you need.
For example: this is one of my Skyrim OCs, Vandrylok. He is a Breton Wizard-Bard.
He has 100 in Illusion, Alchemy, Enchanting, & Speech. That means he is an expert at influencing others & creating things through artistic expression. He is a Bard with a special interest in Poetry, Painting/Drawing, & Sculpting, so he helps in creative pursuits. His power level is on par with a Dragon because he is Dragonborn. He is an Adventurer and his Mana, Health, & Stamina is off the charts, so he can handle pretty much any quest. He is the Archmage of the College of Winterhold so he is well studied and holds away over teachers. Perfect for students! Having done several loot quests, being in the Trading business, and having 100 in Speech, he is excellent in terms of making & growing money.
That being said, I am using his energies to help me get into college & get money for school. It's a process so I needed a character that could aid through the entire process.
All this to say, yes, you can 100% use OCs in PCM & PCP. As this post shows up on dashboards and is viewed, my OC will grow in power. Likes & reblogs will charge my OC to give him more energy to exist in this world. So Mote It Be /|\
A great little reference for the emotional impact of some main hues
Combining the energies of shapes and colors is a powerful practice within art witchcraft. You can look for these combinations in your color castings, or other artistic forms of divination, or use them to boost your intent in spells.

Art Witch Colorcraft Glyph
This glyph symbolizes the art witchâs path. The large triangle connects the primary colors, the interior triangle connects the secondary colors, and the polygon connects the tertiary colors. The center most circle represents magic/spirit.Â
I hope my fellow art witches find this image to resonate with them. Eventually Iâd like to offer it as an enamel pin, if youâd be interested in purchasing one of those please let me know in the comments. It will also be available on my Society6 shop products.Â

Uses, Forms of it, and Why I Think Everyone Should Try it at Least Once.
Foreword
Right before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I had been trying and failing to rekindle my flame for magic work. No matter what I tried to do I just couldn't get back into my studies and I was reaching a point where I was convinced I lost my spark and was doomed to live an empty life. Then it all changed when a YouTube Channel challenged how I thought about everything: Molly Roberts. That's when I was opened to the possibility of art magic, and I'll now share my love of it with anyone willing to read on.

There is a mantra that i have found helps, just add it in while stirring your coffee. Repeat the words â what doesnt break me makes me stronger, wiser, and more wrathful.â
Ive seen a lot of people hating on others magical concepts lately and I want to say in the nicest way,
Live and let live if no one's getting hurt!
Its not your job to police other heroes work and what they do!
fuck it sure
The hard truth about occultism and witchcraft is that you genuinely do have to be willing to lose your mind. Thatâs not me romantisizing mental struggle or psychosis.
The thing no one talks about, at least not honestly, is the threshold one passes in initiation, where the mystical, psychological, symbolic and literal merge. When I say you have to be willing to lose your mind, I mean you have to be willing to accept the possibility that you may in fact be crazy. Your worst possible fear, none of this is real and itâs all happening in your head. What will you do if you realize youâre simply crazy? The wise man will turn away, but the initiate, the alchemist, will be unphased.
All people who dabble with spirituality and occultism will eventually meet this threshold. When things actually start working, when your spells yield results, when the impossible occurs and you truly have no other explanation. When the Gods finally respond. Be willing to lose your mind, be willing to experience things you cannot explain. And be willing to talk to yourself with the honesty that you simply cannot know. Thatâs what makes your faith and pursuits worthy.
The most talented and most powerful witches and magis are those who do not flinch when the impossible occurs. They no longer question themselves about the absurdity, they no longer wonder if any of this is real because they know it doesnât matter. And thatâs why theyâre so powerful, they have complete faith that their work is very real. And when someone challenges that, they donât crumble, they rise. Because the challenge in that idea is worthy of pursuit itself. Maybe we are crazy, maybe this is just in our mind. The significance however, that is real and that stays, regardless.
Yap yap yap
We talk a lot in this community about the concept of âawakeningâ to your psychic abilities. Sensing energy, having divine intuition, telling fortunes and affecting the world through intention. But we hardly ever expose that before those gifts explode, there is always a period of what feels like insanity. The mind interrogating itself. Sensitivity to the mystical. It feels like being given access to the background code of your simulated reality, and realizing that the same code is written into your flesh, mind and soul.
Tldr. Witchcraft is very aesthetically pleasing, very pretty. We often donât show the very ugly side of it, the white knuckles, the tears and chaos. Inviting these forces into your life is not trivial, not at all. They will force you to change and they will force you to lose your mind, even if only to teach you how to find it.
Every few months a friend of mine who is also a witch will come to me and express that she thinks sheâs losing her mind again. And I smile because I know that she must be growing so much, getting so much more powerful. And a couple days ago, when I went to her and expressed that I was losing my mind again, she laughed too.
âWelcome to the next phase of your journey with Lord Lucifer!â
and her saying that immediately made everything click. Iâm still being tested and cultivated. This bought of insanity is surely far from the last i will experience. Getting this far and surviving means I am not only advancing, I am continuing to grow into the role I was meant to serve for him.
Anyways, if you get to that point in your practice where you feel like youâre at your breaking point, I wonât fault you for stepping back. Thatâs the logical decision.
But I can also assure you, you are not alone. The mystic floats in the same waters the psychotic drowns. It may feel like youâre drowning and struggling, you may in fact just be learning how to tread water. and if you think youâre beyond this phenomenon, if this has never happened to you.
Oh, just you wait.
So the spirits have shown me a new avenue of research. It's a branch of learning. Something I've done before but not heavily invested in to.
I'm trying to figure out the purpose here... my first guess was spiritual veneration; to expand my respect and empathy. Personal evolution.
No, they said. The point is just to be.
Next thing then, it's a utility. The point is to be doing something useful to further both my goals and their goals as we work in tandem.
They said, no. Maybe you're not listening.
Third option - although pretty sure it was the second one that I haven't phrased correctly enough for them to agree it's true - the point is not personal evolution but rather self-betterment; skill for skill's sake even if I'm not being directed to a specific task.
"For fuck's sake," they said. "We're trying to get you to just have some goddamn fun."
From a purely sorcerous perspective (not veneration, worship etc) I think that there's maybe no actual connection between our perception of value and the sorcerous impact of an offering.
In my paradigm offerings serve to deliver energy or resources, basically taking up the niche of food and money in the human world.
Even offerings we perceive as being very cheap can readily deliver energy (like mass-produced pressed incense being prayed over so it's filled with power, and burned to send this power to the spirit).
Similarly, an offering can be cheap or easily obtained for us and still contain resources (like a glass of water devoted to the spirits, so they can directly nourish themselves from it).
I believe that as a Witch, the miracle comes from your ability to pluck things from the physical world and give them to the spirits.
It's not a miracle that the cheap pressed incense can deliver necessary nourishment and fine things to the spirits.
The miracle is that you can put things valuable to the spirits inside of incense, and through your power deliver it to them.
It's not the substance but you which are the fulcrum of power. Witches stand with one foot in each world, as they say - this can be taken quite literally; you can take magical power, condense it, and deliver it from this world to theirs, or from theirs to ours.
The pressed incense is nothing but the cardboard box it's all delivered in. You know?
Witches are so magical. I love it so much.
If youâre new to visualization and astral projection, are having some difficulties with it, or even if youâre a veteran looking for resources, I highly recommend The Mentalist's Handbook: An Explorer's Guide to Astral, Spirit, and Psychic Worlds by Clint Marsh with illustrations by Jeff Hoke.
It was one of the first occult texts I picked up that I found refreshingly succinct and accessible. One of my biggest pet peeves is when occult authors describe tools or techniques but fail to explain the mechanics or donât even attempt to offer any insight; Marsh not only details an approachable practice regimen but Hokeâs illustrations offer a bit of whimsy and inspiration for your own visualizations. Not to mention, the publication itself is just beautifully printed! Of course it is also available online in many formats but I definitely do not regret having a copy in my personal library!
Are there other topics youâre looking for more information on or are interested in other recommendations? Feel free to send me a message and I can try to point you in the right direction! â
Sharing this again because Iâve noticed a bunch of new faces in the âmagical girlâ tags!
I definitely recommend really honing in your visualization techniques before attempting astral projection. I know it can get frustrating to not get the results you want immediately but magical work is work! It certainly comes easier to some than to others but there are lots of ways you can approach these techniques to make them suitable for you and your practice! â
