people post anything on here and there’s ways to filter the content you want to see and content you do not want to see. the same thing goes with blocking. there’s things that go against tumblr ToS and people will still post it all the time whether it be gore or something less intense. people shouldn’t be posting sh or ed content or nsfw content but they still do and gore isn’t any different
Ok but you said it's ok if they post it now you are switching up and saying it's not ok, also by reporting there will be less content like that, so the right thing is reporting. Also to block people you gotta look at their account so if somebody is sensitive to gore they'll have to see it. Okay so I have read this in full and naturally I am on my mutuals side not because they are my mutual. But because they are right. As someone who is into gore and those type of things. I feel as though people who dont like that type of stuff can do the simple thing and just block the tags, and you can block people via messenger as well, you dont have to go straight to their account so smironeff or whatever your user is, you are wrong. Also what you are saying is truly narrow minded, drama filled and truly not worth my time. But I am making a response because I am someone who loves gore, I do not tend to post about it but I do. Also using the report button is not even that useful because those same people will likely get another account and or tumblr staff will ignore it completely (I do not mean that rudely), also using the report is like a last resort. if you have a genuine liking for gore you should seek professional help, and that is not a narrow-minded thing to say in the slightest! your point is blatantly not debatable, if you did any amount of research you would find the various amounts of negative consequences consuming this type of media can have. consuming media containing gore blunts your natural empathy and causes emotional numbness, causes/can cause "mean world" syndrome (paranoia stemming from the fear that you or someone you love could and might possibly get gored), trauma response (developing PTSD is extremely common for avid gore watchers), and other more mild side effects. and just because you don't currently experience these things doesn't mean you won't, either, the brain can be susceptible to these things even if you're not directly afraid of gore/you're desensitized to it.
