The strong taste of iron, that’s the first thing you noticed when you woke up. You st yourself up and leaned against the wall behind you to support your aching back. Your head also felt like you got hit by a stone or something. When you opened your eyes, you noticed that you are not home, sat in a empty cold room, the only light came from a small window on the left side of the room.
Where, were you? You stood up and crossed the room, hugging yourself to get a bit warmer. You stopped in front of the big iron door and tried to open it, but without success. You slowly started to panic, you woke up in strange places before, but only if you drank a bit too much with your friends the night before. But now, you can’t even remember what you did yesterday. What day is this, how did you get here?
Your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a key. The door in front of you opened and a slim male came in. You stared at him and he stared at you. He stayed silent and so did you, neither of you dared to say a word.
He wasn’t really tall or muscular. His head covered by a beanie, only a few strands of his dark hair escaped the thick material on his head. His dark eyes stared directly into yours. He looked sickly pale. An oversized supreme sweater and a skinny jeans covered the rest of his body. He was a handsome, yet kinda scary looking young man.
After a few more silent minutes, the guy finally spoke the first word.
“Hello.” he said, his voice calm but shaking.
“My name is Yoongi,…. I can imagine what you think right now, ‘How the hell did I end up in his room and why is this strange man talking to me?’, but before you judge me, please let me explain what’s going on and what happend yesterday.”
You looked at him, not sure what to think about this situation.
“A few days ago, I went to the park, I wanted to meet up with a person I met through the internet. I didn’t really know what this person wanted from me, but I was curious and I hadn’t anything to loose. You have to know, I am a privat detective, so I get a lot of anonymous messages from people. Anyways. I saw a man, sitting on a bench, I sat down beside him and ask him if he sent the message to me. He did. So I asked him what he wanted from me. He showed me a picture of a young woman, a picture of you, and asked me if I could find her for him. And of course I could, finding people is like a peace of cake for me. I asked him why I should do this, he told me that’s none of my business and gave me the first part of my payment…”
You looked at him in shock… “But that still doesn’t explain why I am in that basement…” you said, the panic in your voice was audible.
“I am not finished. After the man left and I went home, I started my research. Finding you wasn’t hard but I was still curious what this man wanted from you. So I also researched him. And I found out that he was an ex criminal, he was in prison for kidnapping 4 other women. When I found out about that, I started to search for you immediately but when I found you, you didn’t believed me, so I tried to take you with me for your own good. But you tripped and fell, this has to be the reason why you can’t remember anything.”
You stayed silent, not knowing if you should believe him or not, he didn’t really look like the type of person who’d lie, but this story did sound pretty much like an action movie.
“Alright, I am still not sure rather to believe you or not, but anyways, why didn’t you report this whole story to the police and took me with you instead???” you asked curious.
“Well, you know.. My work isn’t really legal and I was scared that the police would arrest me… but I still wanted to help you you know? sorry for the bad circumstances and the basement” he said, shyly scratching his head.
“Ah, about the basement,… why had I to sleep in the basement and why did you lock the door?” you asked.
“Because it was the most save. I didn’t want you to run away without hearing the whole story.”
You still weren’t sure if you should believe him, but staying inside this basement wasn’t a good solution either. The only chance to get out of there was to show him that you trust him.
“Alright, I think I believe you…. what are you going to do with me now?” you looked at him questioning.
“You will come with me now, to the kitchen… you must be hungry Right?” he looked at you, now a bit more relaxed.
About an hour later, you sat inside the young males kitchen, watching him cook… well, if you can call making scrambled eggs with toast cook.
“Sorry, I am not a really good cook.” he said, a shy smile on his lips.
“It’s okay I am not good at cooking either.” You smiled at him.
After you ate, you took a shower and Yoongi lend you a pair of old sweaters and a shirt. You thought a lot about the story he told you and if you believe it or not. But you kinda liked him and wanted to believe him. You were also not the type of person who always thinks about the worst case scenario.So when you were done you walked down stairs and sat down beside him. He looked at you, his dark eyes scanning you, not sure what to say.
“So, what should we do now, how long have you planned to keep me here?” you asked, smiling over your shoulder.
“Emmm, I’m not sure, maybe… two or three days?” he said looking at you, waiting for your reaction.
You saw it easy, ‘I don’t have anything to do the next few days anyways’.
“Alright…. any plans what we should do now?”
“….We could watch a movie if you want.” he said.
“Sounds good” you answered.
So that’s what you did, you watched movie after movie, laughed together, talked about several topics, ate something and had all in all a pretty good time. With every minute you talked to him, you liked him more, he was smart and kind and even tho you are not the biggest fan of emotional contact and the thought of too much sympathy, you couldn’t help yourself but feel attracted to him.
The following two days were amazing.. you spent a lot time together and after a while, you nearly forgot why you were there.
“I don’t want you to leave Y/N.” Yoongi said while lying in your lap, staring up at you while you read a book.
“Maybe I don’t have to leave…”
He sat up and looked at you his eyes filled with hope and happiness.
“That’d be wonderful!!!!”
… So you stayed for another week, and the feelings you felt for the male became stronger by every day. One evening, you sat on his bed, when he kissed you, which showed you that you’re not the only one who felt that way. It was the first time you ever felt the need to stay instead of the need to leave.
Everything was perfect until that day. One day, the doorbell rang. Yoongi was in the shower so you opened the door. Yoongi appeared behind you,pushed you behind him, panic and aggression in his eyes.
“Can I help you?” You asked nicely.
“Miss, please step away from this man.” the police officer said , slowly pulling their guns out.
You didn’t understand what was going on.
“I’m sorry… I think this is a misunderstanding.” you said weakly.
“Y/N, get inside.” Yoongi said, in a calm yet loud way.
“Miss, step away! This man is a haunted psychopath, he escaped the psychiatry a few weeks ago! He kidnapped you, we found the incident on a video.Now step back!”
You slowly turned around and looked at Yoongi in disbelieve.
“…I-Is that true??” you asked, shakingly , slowly stepping back.
You wanted to run but Yoongi slammed the door shut, took your hand ran, you tried to escape his grip, but without success.
“Y/N, we have to leave!” he screamed.
“LET GO OF ME!!” you screamed back.
He looked at you, hurt and scared.
And yet you woke up, again in a dark empty room, and again with a terrible headache. But with memories.. and not just yesterdays memories, but also the memories from the day you were kidnapped.
You remembered how you felt eyes hunting you the whole day, you remembered Yoongis face following you, you remembered how hands pulled you into a small alley and how the last thing you saw before you lost cautiousness was Yoongis face saying ‘I’m sorry’. Those damn words, you felt sick by thinking about his face, his voice and the fact that you fell ion love with him. Out of all people you met, all people you had contact with in the last few years, why him? Why were you so stupid?
And yet again your thoughts were interrupted by a key opening a door, and yet again, Yoongi stood in front of you, starring down at you, his eyes full of rage and sadness. He just wanted to take the first word when…
“YOU BASTARD, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE, HOW DARE YOU LYING INSIDE MY FACE, HOW DARE YOU KIDNAPPING ME AND TELLING ME YOU SAVED ME. hOW COULD YOU? I TRUSTED YOU!!!! I GODDAMN TRUSTED YOU, AND I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE YOU!! WHAT? WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW WITH ME? KILLING ME? KEEPING ME HERE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE? YOU SICK PSYCHO.!!” you screamed at him until your voice broke.
He listened to you. He took all your insults in silence.
“I’m sorry… please let me explai…”
“SHUT UP, YOU WON’T LIE TO ME A SECOND TIME, NOT THIS TIME.!” you said in complete anger.
“I DIDN’T WANT TO HURT YOU! I LOVE YOU!… YOU ARE EVERYTHING TO ME, I WANTED TO MEET YOU FOR SUCH A LONG TIME. BUT I THOUGHT A GIRL LIKE YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SOMEONE LIKE ME…” he cried out, his face soaked in tears and rage and despair.
“and…and instead of talking to me first….YoU KIDNAPPED ME???” you looked up to him in disgust.
“Please…. please Y/N…. Give me a second chance!” he begged, his voice drowned in sorrow.
“Forget it!…You…You are dead to me!” you said, your eyes filled with hate and disgust.
Yoongi looked at you.. something inside him seemed to be dead.
“I…I can’t let you go… I can’t loose you…” It looked more like he talked to himself instead of you.
He walked through the room searching for something. Until he found a cloth, he managed to shackle you and put the cloth into your mouth.
“I’m sorry Y/N…. I can’t have anyone taking you from me.”
