Armored rino

A while ago I Tumbled an image from Sebastian Münster’s Cosmographia (1544) of a bunch of fantastic creatures wearing Speedos. The book was very popular because of the woodcuts it contained. Here is another great image from that same book: “the animal named rhinoceros”, as the German caption states. The decorator emphasized the protective armour of the animal, turning the rhinoceros into a medieval knight. The owner of this copy had the woodcut coloured in, which makes the tank-like animal look like an assault weapon. It must have been a marvel to look at this image in the pre-Zoo era.

HERE’S WHAT KOBE BRYANT WILL WEAR FOR HIS LAST ALL-STAR GAME

As Kobe Bryant heads to Toronto this February to play in the league’s 65th annual All-Star Game, it’ll be the 18th and final time he appears in the NBA’s grand showcase matchup of East versus West.

You’ll find a molded tongue and heel counter, offering up some extra detailing and depth from the standard retail edition. They’ll be releasing on February 11th, and are priced at $220.
