Hi, absolutely obssessed with your Theresa x Jitka piece. It's sustaining me through this day. HOWEVER, I wanted to ask: what is ingraved on Theresa's sword? Have a good day :)

Thank you so much! The inscription reads “Ignis Aurum Probat” which roughly translates to “fire tests gold”. Pretty basic, but I found it fitting for Tess.

(Apparently the canvas size is too large for tumblr, so unfortunately the image quality degraded quite a bit, making the text illegible.)

I know @kcdfemslashweek week is over but I decided to post the piece I started first for Day 6: Dressing in Steel anyway, so have some Theresa x Jitka.

A notes under the cut:

Jitka’s necklace is the Capon family heirloom featured in the Amourous Adventures DLC. It was stolen back from Karolina.

As far as I know Jitka does not have any visual depictions beyond the codex entry, so I took some inspiration from the codex but mostly just made something up for her appearance.

I love Theresa’s little ponytail but I was feeling braid for this.

Tess & Jitka have matching belts.

Theresa’s sword was gifted to her by Jitka. The inscription reads “Ignis Aurum Probat”.

Tess had her nose broken.

I’m a sucker for the Rattay Lavender Marriage.

Kunštát castle was rebuilt at some point, but I found a picture of what I think is a medieval reconstruction model on their website so I combined design elements of the reconstruction with the general structure and surrounding landscape of the modern castle for Jitka’s half of the frame. Theresa’s half is the Skalitz Mill.

While I did do some research, medieval fashion is not my expertise and I did take some artistic liberties so the clothing, styling, and dyes are probably inaccurate to the time & place.

A take on the end of A Woman‘s Lot more true to my own playthrough.

Not pictured: Tinker who is alive because when Tinker started barking, Theresa shot the bandit (with her last arrow — which is why her quiver is empty totally not because I didn’t want to draw arrows)

Theresa was far more skilled at swordsmanship, stealth, and marksmanship than pre-Rattay Henry. She was going out of her way to kill the raiders, and had them surrendering & fleeing. Realistically this was just because I, the player, had improved at the game with more practice, but I very much enjoy the idea of Theresa being terrifyingly good at combat with no prior experience (Henry at least had like at least two sword-fighting lessons). As well as subsequently navigating her own grief-fuelled anger, natural talent for combat, and desire to protect others with the societal rules and expectations for women, all without wanting to give up her womanhood.

AU where Klara survives Nebakov and finds Katherine in Kuttenberg and they live happily ever after. They judge the Boy Failures (the Pack) & touch hands while treating the wounded during the siege. Sometimes they take long walks through the meadows around the Devil‘s Den to escape the madness; by the time they return Klara‘s bag and pouches are stuffed full with herbs and flowers, and Katherine always has the prettiest flower Klara could find tucked behind her ear.
