I know this sallet type would've landed twenty years later from KCD timeline but it's my favourite design. The historical accuracy of the rest of the gear is also almost certainly off.

Thinking about whatever complicated feelings over gaining and losing a home Henry might have.

I personally imagine that as a woman, Hans would be just as restless and still desire many of the same things. While I imagine her as a rambunctious woman, I'd think she'd be suspect to bouts of despair and frustration. And I don't think she'd be as haughty, but definitely twice as rebellious. I haven't quite pinpointed how I'd think Henry to be.

i neeed to know what brushes/program u use pls share 🤲🏻

Ok this might be a bit underwhelming but I use Paint Tool Sai 1.0 and I mostly use close to default brushes x-D But you're getting a very detailed account of the process

My go-to brush is the Airbrush tool with the shape set to Fine_Flat. The advanced settings are default. I use it like I'd use a colored pencil if they were pigmented enough to be opaque. I adjust the density as needed.

Next I lay down large color areas and shadows with the default Marker brush

It's the ugly phase for this one, I start rendering by alternating between the go-to brush and the marker.

Then I just continue until kingdom come like that. I usually throw in some overlays and multiply layers color-wise etc. adjustment layers. Most of the texture in my work comes from scribbling, again I think the best comparison would be a colored pencil.

Also the process can be somewhat different if I make a cleaner sketch and plan to have simple rendering.

Sometimes I use the default airbrush, airbrush with noise texture set to 100% and the default pen but pretty rarely.

I think alot about how throughout his arc Henry both gains and loses agency in becoming a soldier. And how he as a person gets lost to many characters as a tool, and to himself as a vessel of revenge.

I also like to think that the events of kcd1 and kcd2 take wayyyy longer than they canonically do. So I wanted my kcd1 Henry to look younger </3

I've never properly recorded a drawing process so I had to screen record myself deleting layers and then time reverse the footage for this :-D

my whole playthrough I though about how the player marker on the map looks alot like hans </3 and the idea that henry would own that little thing is so cute to me
